Peaceful Lakeside Haven w/private dock; boating, hiking swimming just steps away

What an ideal retreat! The natural beauty of the lakeside and surrounding mountains is astounding. The host, Barbie, is one of the best proprietors we’ve ever come across. Her attention to detail, both inside the cottage and as it relates to renters, is second to none!

This is an adorable cottage. It’s an older property that is quaint and quirky. The decor is charming, and the house provides a peaceful atmosphere. The dock and screened porch are perfect for sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The little lake is very easy to kayak around, and is also fun to just float in. The location of the cottage is also great for short drives to many beautiful waterfalls. I enjoyed this property so much last year, that I returned again this summer.

This was just a great lakefront mountain property. In the morning a low mist covered the water and slowly lifted as the sun rose. There were a number of sitting areas and the screened porch over looked the lake. There were also chairs on the dock and they were great to sit on with some afternoon wine. Very quiet and peaceful.

Loved the cabin. Great comms with owners. loved the from and back porch as well as artful interior design. Rate 10/10.

Top 3 BEST places we have ever stayed! Wow!! Bluebird Cottage is fully equipped with everything you want/need for a great stay. Barbie, the host, has thought of EVERY detail. I have learned over time to bring all my own pots/pans/spices if I want to do my own cooking, but this cottage kitchen is fully stocked! I didn't need anything I brought with me. The cottage is SO clean and beautifully decorated. There are cozy nooks all over this property. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking as well. It is such a clean, peacefully little lake.

What an absolute lovely lake cottage! This ended up being the perfect getaway for my husband and me. Easy directions, beautiful place, and excellent communications with the host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was everything we had hoped it would be!

This cottage was everything we expected and more! It was very clean and well stocked with any and everything we “might” have needed. Barbie is an amazing host! We definitely will be returning!

The place is on a small lake and it is a beautifully remodeled cabin from years ago. We did have ‘mountain rest’ and it was wonderful!! Everything we needed was there and also board games, books, 2 screened in porches and most importantly, a peaceful dock with chairs and kayaks and canoes. We hope to be able to go back again.

Barbie is very responsive. The cottage is absolutely adorable. Very cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean and no issues with the cottage whatsoever. We will definitely be booking again.

We really enjoyed the Bluebird Cottage. It was well appointed and very clean. We enjoyed the gas fire table on the back screened porch instead of using the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and knives for cooking. The little lake was quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the dock. Barbie was a top notch host.

Our recent stay at this delightful cabin was amazing! This home away from home is welcoming and has everything you could possibly need. The setting is spectacular-serene, peaceful, and private. The cottage itself is exceptionally decorated and each detail is thoughtfully laid out. Barbie is an excellent host and communicates in a timely manner. We are already planning a return visit to this delightful mountain retreat.

This place was immaculate and decorated very nice. It is in a peaceful, serene woodsy area with beautiful views of lake. The host is very generous and had coffee, creamer sugar, few snacks and pantry staples. She also allowed use of kayaks and tubes/floats, life vests etc . Excellent host! Lots of games, books and puzzles available too. Would definately recommend!

Bluebird Cabin is amazing. It is beautifully decorated and well-stocked for all our needs. We loved kayaking and canoeing on the beautiful lake. We felt welcomed and at home the minute we walked in the door. Will definitely return another time.

This place is magical. It’s absolutely stunning in appearance and location. Beyond well equipped for anything you could need or want and then some. Go ahead and add an extra day to enjoy this place, it’s incredible! I can’t wait to visit again. 35 mins from the door to Death Valley for the Tigers game. Staying here, You won’t be disappointed!! The property was absolutely beautiful! We had a little trouble with the internet when we got there (from no fault of Barbie's of course). She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and that we stayed in touch with out kiddos while away! I appreciate the cleanliness and the gorgeous decor of the Lakeside Haven. I would definitely return!

Cute, quaint and peaceful cabin. Beautiful setting. Check-in was very easy, and the host (who is absolutely wonderful) was flexible. A few little extras, made the visit pleasant and special. Kitchen is well-appointed.

Very off the beaten path and peaceful directly on the lake. The decor was perfect in every detail. Beds were comfortable and everything was impeccably clean. We had everything we needed, including coffee and creamer, spices, condiments, tin foil and plastic wrap. Outside gas grill for cookout. Lovely quiet peaceful stay.

We absolutely loved our time here. It was a great chance for our teens to unplug. We spent hours paddling and fishing on the lake from morning until dusk. The house was very well equipped and decorated beautifully. We didn’t have to leave for anything! We can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I enjoyed a super relaxing 3 night stay. We enjoyed hanging on the dock and both screened porch areas. We also loved the surrounding hiking trails which are easily accessible right from the cottage. The cottage is so cute! The furnishings are comfortable, beautiful and creative. It has everything we needed as far as kitchen appliances, cookware, good wifi, kayaks, etc. Also there's a great little coffee/tea bar with grinder/coffeemaker/teas, etc. The place was immaculately clean. Our host Barbie was very super helpful and kind.

The place is comfy and cozy. The furnishings are amazing. Everything is provided. The lake is quiet and clean. It is everything you need to get away for a long weekend!

We had a lovely time at The Bluebird Cottage. The house was just as described. Actually it was better than described. Being there and sitting on the porch overlooking the lake was so relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking meals with a view. The location was perfect for chasing waterfalls and we saw 7 this trip. I especially enjoyed the peaceful spin around the lake in the provided kayak. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for outdoor adventures in the area with a comfortable, cozy place to return that makes you feel right at home.

It was well managed and so cute. My littles had so much fun swimming with lots of hikes a 10 minute drive away.

My husband and I came to celebrate Valentine's day in a peaceful, calm place and we couldnt have found a better one! This cottage is perfect for peace and seclusion, but not too far from civilization. We loved it and will defintely come back soon!

We had a wonderful stay on our girls getaway! Can’t say enough about how beautiful and cozy the cottage is. As long as you make a grocery trip prior to arrival, you don’t have any reason to leave if your stay is about relaxation. It so quiet, no noisy traffic. The lake is peaceful, I could just sit and look at it all day! I text pics to my husband while there, he said he’d like to stay there a week but it’s no pets are allowed so we wouldn’t be able to book a trip, we don’t travel without our fur babies (Yorkies). Other than that, it’s a perfect retreat!

We could not have had a more lovely stay! This lakefront cottage exceeded all of our expectations. The host has thought of all of the little details that make a stay more easy and comfortable. House is well stocked with water fun, games, books, kitchen items, etc. we definitely plan to come back.

Stayed with my husband and father-in-law while in town for a nearby wedding and all three of us instantly fell in love with the place. Perfect size for the three of us, cozy and charming with so many options for sitting and enjoying the outdoors or indoors, so clean and well maintained, so much to offer! It really felt like a comfortable home and not just a place we were renting for a few days. Not to mention the area itself is so quiet and beautiful. We had a wonderful time and would come back in a second!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay, WiFi was out due to storm but we had plenty of games,books and activities to keep us busy

We’ve stayed at Bluebird Cottage several times and have never been disappointed. The “Welcome Back”card from Barbie was a nice touch. We also loved the addition of televisions in both bedrooms. It’s a great spot to sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake.
