Blue Laurel is nestled in the peaceful little town of Mountain Rest, SC .

We had a wonderful time at Blue Laurel. The cabin is exactly as described, clean and very well cared for. We appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the host and check in and out, as well as the fact that the cabin was perfect for the whole family -- adults, kids and dogs. We'd definitely like to return some day!

We loved chatting with the host, exploring the beautiful property, and enjoying the treats left for us. It was easier to relax with corner buffers, childproof locks, and safety outlets. I really loved the rocking chair and the fluffy robes. It was perfect for our family with kids.

This place is a little slice of Heaven! It is decorated so perfectly - everything matches and has that cabin vibe. It’s equipped with EVERYTHING! The host is the absolute sweetest. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything and more. She even treated us with some special things for our anniversary. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO places and this is by far the best!If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, you cannot ask for a better place to stay. It is perfect.

This home had lots of thought put into it. Everything was very clean! We only stayed one night to attend a concert at Clemson Stadium. About 45 minutes to an hour to get to the stadium but traffic was very heavy due to the event. I would definitely stay here again in the future. There seems to be lots of outdoor activities in the area. Check-in was easy. Host even left snacks for us! Thankful to have somewhere to bring my dog with me.

Everything was exactly as advertised. Super clean, very cozy, and just an all around great experience. Id recommend this for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy a comfortable vacation in the mountains.

This was one of the cleanest properties I’ve ever stayed at! The cabin had everything we needed for our weekend and was so nice and comfortable. Melissa was a fantastic host and left us with plenty of snacks and gave great insight on things to do and places to visit in the area. Everywhere was well within driving distance. So many fun things to do in the area. Will definitely be back!

If you are staying in the Walhalla area, the Blue Laurel is the only way to go! Our host Melissa was extremely communicative, and went above and beyond to make our stay as great as it was! We brought our one year old and she made sure the play pen was set up and the baby gate was ready for use! The cabin was immaculately cleaned, and there was a welcoming snack box with some great healthy options for us! Easily accessed and in a great area for hiking and mountain adventures. When we come back, we will definitely be staying here again.

I have to say this is by far the best place I have stayed at. Mellisa was amazing with making sure we were taken care of. It was a little slice of heaven. The cabin was more than we could have imagined. I will definitely be going back. Such an amazing experience.

Very peaceful and cozy cabin. Host communicated with us and answered all of our questions. There was a wonderful snack tray, waiting for us upon our arrival. Cabin is pet friendly and there was even a gate left in utility room that we put up on the back deck so they could stay out here with us. Cabin was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean and anything you could think of was provided. We would definitely recommend this location and host.

This cabin is enchanted! Just perfect, and the setting is gorgeous. I expected Disney singing animals to come out of the woods - LOL. The cabin itself is wonderful. Super clean and welcoming. Great communication with Melissa. My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights, after attending a Clemson football game. A very scenic area. We enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Steak House Cafeteria in Walhalla. It was awesome. I highly recommend this property. We will be returning! Thanks Melissa for a memorable stay!

We have been to a lot of cabins. This was by far the nicest and best cabin we have ever stayed at. The host is top tier we were coming in late, she checked in on us and turned the porch lights on for us. The cabin was super clean very well stocked and beautifully decorated truly made you feel at home. It’s very easy to find yet very private plenty of parking. Only draw back was having to leave. This will be our go to cabin from now on. The stump hole tail system is very close and a great hike, with awesome mountain biking too. You will not be disappointed here.

A lovely cabin and property with fantastic attention to detail and great communication by our host! Very comfortable bed and linens, exceptionally clean overall, and a snack platter waiting for us that was just right. We were chasing waterfalls for a story that will appear in South Carolina Living Magazine and within one weekend saw 15 good to spectacular ones not far from the cabin. Yellow Branch Falls may be my favorite, but Brasstown Falls is actually 4 falls in 1 with minimal hiking and should not be missed.There are 60 waterfalls listed for Oconee County in Thomas King's Waterfall Hikes of Upstate South Carolina, now available in third edition from UGA Press. We used King's book as our primary guide along with the book that's available at the cabin. The website waterfallwalker.com covers the same information and has video & photos.We also enjoyed some good meals in Westminister and Walhalla and a fantastic pizza at Humble Pie down the road. We hope to return!

A beautiful cabin in the woods with a wonderful charcuterie bowl left in the refrigerator for us to enjoy, after a day of activities. The property was very well maintained with various outside activities.

Melissa is by far the best host I've come across on all Platforms! She is so helpful, friendly and available for any needs! The cabin was absolutely STUNNING, clean and beautiful- the perfect cabin for a stay in the mountain. Melissa left us snacks and made sure we knew where everything is and equipped for anything we wanted to do or make. I would rate 10 stars if i could! Absolutely loved this cabin

The house was so clean and the host was EXCELLENT!!! We have stayed at a lot of places and by far this was the nicest. The host knew it was our anniversary and went to great lengths to have special goodies and flowers for us to enjoy.

We were very impressed with this home. It was just my husband and me, so perfect size. The outside is as pleasant as the inside with a great porch, hammocks and fire pit. This beautiful mountain cabin feels like you are tucked away from the world without actually being in a remote location. It felt like a combination between a mountain cabin and bed & breakfast. The hosts truly go above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend!

This cabin was very nice and well furnished! The host thought of everything - games for us to play, snacks, and even a bottle of wine to welcome us! It was a perfect getaway for just the 2 of us to get away from it all! Wel'l definitely be returning!!

If only you could add more stars to a review. We stay all over the country, in many VRBO’s, and this, By FAR has been our absolute favorite. From the moment we booked- until the day of departure- we felt like family. Our hosts were thoughtful, attentive, kind and generous. The property shows the amount of thought that went into every aspect of the home. Even down to the capped corner of the refrigerator.The cabin was cozy, and the property absolutely beautiful. It truly is a labor of love. We will absolutely be booking again in the future! .
