As a big Tolkien fan, this place was just beautiful and awesome. Lovely cottage, spacious, and just nice quiet countryside with animals just chilling. Would highly recommend!

We stayed in otters over Easter weekend. We loved the stay and will be returning. The local village is a short drive away and has pubs, shops, cafes etc. The highlight of the trip for my children was waking up to goats at the door

Cost reflects the very high standard of everything at Otters View. We were impressed from the moment we drew up and remained so during our stay. The Welcome Pack delighted my granddaughters as they are huge fans of Stroop Waffles and I was very grateful for the tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Otters View was immaculately clean, well provisioned and comfortable. We all agreed we would love to live there! Views were great, as was the peace and quiet. The girls spent most of their time in the hot tub when we were not out and about. Admin before and after was great especially the phone call to say we had left an iPad behind so we could turn round and go back to get it. Would highly recommend Holiday Wales and Otters View and I will definitely be booking again. Thank you for helping me achieve my ambition of being a Hobbit if only for a few days

Lovely little place, perfect location - we drove to Aberystwyth to see the seaside and popped down to the Elan Valley on the way back. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

My stay here was amazing. The only this I did notice was above the door way it would drip every so often but other than that it was all perfect

We had a wonderful stay in January. The property was gorgeous, unique, and incredibly cosy. Enjoying the hot tub while it snowed was magical, and the clear night skies gave us amazing views of the stars. We loved the peaceful walks and beautiful surroundings. It’s very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and perfect for families with kids. Highly recommend!

We stayed at otters view for 3 nights to celebrate my wife’s birthday & it did not disappoint! Absolutely stunning location, the views are to die for & so peaceful. The underground house is gorgeous, so spacious yet cosy, with everything you could need for your stay. Instructions were also clear & easy to get on site & locate the house. Loved every minute, did not want to leave! We will definitely be back soon!

We stayed here for half term min-fri in October with the children and fur babies. Wow what a wonderful stay we had, the place is incredible and the views are just breathtaking! If I was going to give some cons they would be the following but honestly didn't affect our wonderful stay just some feedback. Place for a very spacious which is amazing however no storage from r clothes really so we lived out of our suitcase. The place is spotless however with wet weather and dogs if they supplied a big brush and mop bucket this would have been really handy to just clean up any mess after a wet walk. We had a little leak near the entrance on the roof so had a little dripping (to be expected with an under hill accommodation) As you can see it's really minor things and what uod absolutely not stop us recomm or staying in the future! We found the little hut at the entrance that had an honest box (cash only) that sold eggs and cakes, we had the lemon drizzle one night and was absolutely delicious! We loved seeing the goats roaming around our accommodation freely, so cute. Having the hot tub was a lovely treat and so relaxing looking at the breathtaking views. I can just go on and on with all the positives so just book and see for yourselves, I don't think you will be disappointed.

We were blown away with the locations, absolutely beautiful! Watching the sun set from the hot tub an added bonus! Lots to do in area although we'd have been quite happy staying at Otters View. Thoroughly enjoyable weekend, definitely recommended

The accommodation and the site are stunning. Really comfortable beds, very clean, and the hot tub is great. However there were a few negatives about Otters view. There were flies everywhere and in every room. We were provides with 2 sticky fly traps however the only place we could find to hang them was from the light right above the dinner table. The oven wasn't sealed properly so the fire alarm went off everytime we tried to cook. The curtain in the master bedroom doesn't cover the whole circular window so we were woken up as soon as the sun was up. We stayed in the middle of summer and wanted to spend as much time as possible outside however the accommodation is south facing and there is no shade provided at all. Other members of our party stayed further down asked for a parasol but the site do not provide anything like this. For the amount we paid for 2 nights I would expect that there was more attention paid to things that have been brought up in mine and in other reviews.

Everything was fine, except for the flies! There was one roll of fly paper but that was not enough to be of any good. Fly spray is needed. Particularly when you are preparing food the flies were everywhere. Also on the brief sent by email to me with all the information on you failed to mention the location of the bins for the rubbish. I had to call you in the end because we couldn’t find them. Apart from the two small considerations that require action. Everything else was excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Fantastic stay, although the seating outside needs repair. However having said that it was obvious that this was happening. Definitely a unique stay and would go again

We stayed at Otters View in the first week of the Easter holidays and it was absolutely brilliant! The pictures on the website don't actually do it justice but what an amazing setting for these great hobbit houses to be in and everyone that worked on site were brilliant. We loved sitting out in the sunshine and enjoying the hot tub in the evening, while still being able to see all the ongoings of the farmers in the local fields. There isn't a huge amount to do onsite but loads of places to visit locally and overall we would absolutely recommend this place for anyone considering it!

A Quirky, Beautiful Escape with Unforgettable Views From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the sensational views and unique charm of the place. It’s quirky, beautifully designed, and has everything you need for a cosy, relaxing break. The added touches before arrival were incredibly helpful — from recommendations on local food spots to places to visit, everything was included to make sure we were fully prepped for the holiday. A special shoutout to Malimacs Events for the birthday balloon setup and Incredibly Indulgent by Mabel Mae for the delicious custom cake — both made the weekend feel even more special. The highlights where The hot tub. Watching the sunset and stargazing from the tub was an unforgettable experience. Inside was warm, clean, and well-equipped. Beds were comfy and freshly made with towels provided — it felt like a home away from home. The kids absolutely loved the morning visits from the friendly goats — though the 7am wake-up calls weren’t quite as appreciated by the adults! While the stay was on the pricier side (especially since we were out exploring most of the time due to the gorgeous weather), it was absolutely worth it for a weekend we’ll never forget. Must-visits nearby: • Lamb & Flag for a hearty meal • Elan Valley — absolutely breathtaking • Aberystwyth beach & cliff railway Overall, a magical weekend retreat with memories to last a lifetime.

Our stay at Otters View in Wales was nothing short of magical! The cabin was incredibly cozy, offering a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. Waking up to the serene sounds of nature and the stunning views of the surrounding countryside was an experience we’ll never forget. One of the highlights was the hot tub—it was pure bliss to relax in the warm water under the stars, completely immersed in the tranquil atmosphere. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into every detail, ensuring the cabin was well-equipped and immaculately clean. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape in nature with a touch of luxury, Otters View is absolutely the place to go. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful stay, lovely place. Shame about the master bedroom curtains do not reach across no privacy so anyone could look in. Outside lighting didn’t work which was very dark at night so can’t see anything. Some of the facilities that they say wasn’t provided but Tesco is only 20mins away. Would stay again and recommend to stay just very expensive.

Upon arrival we were taken back by the location, stunning views! The site is lovely and quiet and clean. Our hobbit house was clean, a lovely welcome tray of goodies. We have 3 daughters who absolutely loved it. The hot tub was a massive hit- although there is no way you can put the temp down manually. Overall, the has got to be one of our top rated family holidays, yes it’s more expensive than a caravan by the sea but it is totally worth it if you are after total relaxation- 100% visit Elan Valley dams about 10 mins away! We will miss waking up to seeing the cows in the opposite field! We hope to return again in the future! Thank you for having us!
