Cuckoo Hill Lodge is in the heart of Mid Wales, surrounded by rolling hills. The lodge is all on the ground floor and has an open plan living area with a wood burner and large TV, and a well equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. In the private garden you can relax in a hot tub as you ease your walking muscles after a day exploring.

There is plenty to do in this area, and a visit to the Elan Valley is a must as the scenery is just simply stunning, with forested areas, waterfalls and Victorian dams, great for walkers, cyclists and bikers. The Red Kite feeding and rehabilitation centre is not far from the property, and the sheep dogs put on a great show moving the cattle and sheep from the fields before feeding starts. The Gilfach Nature Reserve is a fabulous place to take a walk with its small rapids and waterfalls. The market town of Rhayader has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, local amenities and stores.

For those wanting to travel further afield, then the market town of Builth Wells is 9 miles away and home to the Royal Welsh Showground, which hosts multiple events throughout the year. The spa town of Llandrindod Wells is 12 miles from the property and hosts a great golf course and lots of open country parks. The Brecon Beacons National Park is 35 miles from the property for those more adventurous, where a day climbing Pen Y Fan is a must, with its panoramic views. Shop, restaurant 2½ miles, pub 3 miles.

    A stunning location and immaculate lodge. Peaceful location lots of room and beautiful surroundings. Great places to visit nearby. Ann and her husband looked after every requirement and provided us with a warm welcome throughout our stay. We will be returning for sure ! We very much recommend this lodge

    Ann is so welcoming and accommodating.The lodge has everything you would ever want or need.The hot tub was a real nice added bonus.The lodge is very clean, tidy and very warm. With some amazing views.Right in the middle of some beautiful areas to visit.We had such a lovely stay, and we will be returning in the future.Thank you. x

    What a tremendous lodge. The location, amenities, cost and the host's are equally outstanding.We loved it there so much that we booked for 2025 whilst sitting Infront of the log burner at the lodge Host Anne and Mike are so attentive and helpful.I would recommend this lodge to any families, couple and dog lovers.
