Hearnesbrook Barn is a spacious two-bedroom annexe in the grounds of a Georgian house located in the picturesque sailing village of Emsworth. The annexe is the former coach house and stable and was lovingly refurbished in 2019. The village offers many amenities and the annexe is only a few minutes' walk to the harbour and local shops.

With beautiful walks to the Emsworth Mill Pond or stunning nearby countryside you can enjoy a tranquil stay but also enjoy the vibrant local restaurants.

As for the surrounding areas, there are many attractions just a short distance from Emsworth.

The nearby city of Portsmouth makes an exciting day out, as there is lot on offer: the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, which includes the award-winning Mary Rose Museum and HMS Victory, boat trips around Portsmouth Harbour and trips up the Spinnaker Tower to take in the 20+ mile view.

The Cathedral city of Chichester is also a great place to visit, as it is a lively city filled with cultural delights, independent shopping and over 100 places to eat and drink.

The magnificent sandy beaches of West Wittering, East Head and Hayling Island are also all within easy reach.

Other places of interest include Stansted Park & House (2.5 miles), Goodwood House, Racecourse & Motor Circuit (10 miles), Weald & Downland Open Air Museum (13.6 miles), Fishbourne Roman Palace (7 miles), Bosham (5 miles) and Arundel (13.5 miles).

The annexe itself is beautifully furnished with a country cottage feel.

The open plan kitchen is fully equipped and perfect to entertain friends and family with a dining area set within an adjoining living room, where there is a log burner for those winter evenings.

There is a spacious first-floor double bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom (shower over bath). There's a further twin bedroom (can be made into another king upon request) downstairs with its separate shower room. The beds in this room can be made up as a king-size double.

The annexe has its own private garden with secure cycle storage.

This property also provides Wi-Fi and parking. There's a type2 electric vehicle wall charging point which is available for use. Electricity usage is charged at cost. Please contact us for prices

Stayed for a week. No complaints at all. Very comfortable and well equipped. Rosie and Simon were such welcoming hosts. Barn was warm and luxurious, we would have stayed for longer and will definitely be back.

This house was warm, clean and well equipped. I was greeted on arrival, in person, by a friendly, helpful host. The location was excellent, with shops, pubs and the seashore within a five-minute walk. I was pleased also to have been able to book on the phone with a local agent, as I've heard there have recently been a lot of scams on internet accommodation booking sites. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second trip to Hearnesbrook Barn and we can’t speak highly enough of the comfort, cleanliness and facilities here. The owners are very welcoming and provide some lovely homely touches in advance of your arrival. There are so many eateries within walking distance and some good walking routes on the doorstep. A perfect place for a peaceful retreat. We hope to be back again soon.

A first visit to Hearnesbrook Barn - everything about it is excellent and five star - the location, the owners, the fixtures and fittings, shower rooms, furniture, beds, kitchen appliances - everything has been thought of to ensure a very comfortable and luxurious stay. The two seated garden areas are quiet and peaceful. The photos on the website are very accurate - we would recommend Hearnesbrook Barn without reservation and plan to return next year.

We stayed for five nights. The accommodation was pristine and very comfortable. The location was perfect for Emsworth, visiting relatives and the days out we planned. Simon and Rosie were very kind and friendly. We knew they were there for help but they also gave us the space we were looking for. We would definitely come again.

Simon and Rosie are so welcoming and the barn is very well equipped and comfortable. We went birdwatching across Chichester Harbour and also visited Weald and Downland Museum, Bosham, Southsea and Goodwood all while knowing we could return to super comfy beds and a cosy barn. We had everything and more that we needed to cook meals and relax and would so like to return soon.

We have stayed here several times over the years and are always delighted to get the opportunity to return. We stay in many rental properties and this is hands down the best. The hosts Simon and Rosie are especially helpful and the flourishing sit out garden is a lovely bonus

We stayed a week in Hearnesbrook Barn and would happily have stayed longer. What an excellent facility this is and it so deserves our 5* ratings as we found it really hard to fault anything tbh. Location, presentation, cleanliness, comfort, equipment levels, relaxation areas, bedrooms with high-quality en-suite bathrooms, on-site parking for 2 cars literally outside the front door, ground-floor bedroom for those with mobility issues....honestly I could go on but I'd run out of characters/space! Hosts Rosie and Simon are lovely and were readily available should we have had any issues, but we didn't. They've obviously invested heavily in this superb property and they fully deserve all the plaudits that I'm certain they receive. Very well done to all concerned for making our stay so relaxing/enjoyable....we'd return in a heartbeat!

The location of the cottage is perfect for visiting Portsmouth, Chichester etc. Petrol station with an excellent shop is 2 mins walk away. Cottage is extremely comfortable, everything you could possibly need and more. Beautiful garden to sit out in and front patio if weather too hot. The owners of the cottage and very caring and helpful, this was our second visit and they made us so very welcome. 11 out of 10!
