Stayed May 29, 2025We loved the town of Dunster and this old house was a good home base. There was a lot of road noise in the blue bedroom but the back bedrooms with the garden views were quiet. The freezer is in the garage but that wasn't too much of a problem. There was not much toilet paper in the house when we arrived so we had to buy some to get us through our two day stay. The washer and dryer were great and there was plenty of soap for us to get a few loads done before continuing our trip.We loved that you could easily walk into town and there are a few great restaurants and cozy pubs to enjoy. We also toured the Castle which was really beautiful and interesting.

Stayed Sep 29, 2023Owner never sent code to get in which I didn't realize. You have to phone them. Shower very moldy at each end of tracks and very slippery. Generally dusty. Garage parking not very safe to access. Double yellow lines in front and not easy to fold open. I picked this because i felt my friend who uses a cane could visit but not so. Garage floor which you went thru to enter was cobble stones. Back entrance long path with steps.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful time at 'Grist Mill' all the family thought the cottage was very comfortable and so good that we were able to enjoy Dunster Village , Castle , Watermill and surrounding countryside without getting in the car. The garden is excellent for the children, also the benefit of a playground just down the lane. Special mention to the pub 'FORESTERS ARMS' opposite who were very welcoming . Hope to stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Dunster is amazing and Grist Mill is located in an ideal location with beautiful walks nearby and right on the edge of the village (minutes walk to the centre). The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen very modern and well equipped. The garden is lovely and a sun trap ….. go into the village and find the hidden garden ….. we’ll worth it.

Stayed May 28, 2022We stayed at Grist Mill as a family and had the most wonderful stay. Rachel ensured that check in was easy and provided welcome provisions which were very much appreciated after the drive. The location of the house was perfect, so many things to do in the local area. The house had everything we needed, very comfortable beds and the garden was a fantastic bonus to enjoy the sunny evenings eating in the outdoor dining room. We would defintely visit again.
