Beautiful views from a spacious great room on tranquil Upper Herring Lake. Maple hardwood floors throughout the house, 3 bedrooms (king, queen, queen twin bunk beds with trundle), plus a loft with a queen sleeper sofa, and a twin bed on the enclosed porch.
My son has a 3 bedrooom house about 1/4 mile away also on Indian Trail, VRBO 2353237 and we have a resort on the same lake about a mile away, 5 two bedroom cottages on the water, plus others on the water in Frankfort.

Stayed Aug 28, 2025We had an amazing holiday weekend at Peter’s place! The house was clean, spacious, and in a perfect location close to all the up north attractions. Our family especially enjoyed spending time on the water with the kayaks provided. Peter was a fantastic, responsive host. we’d definitely come back again!

Stayed Jul 26, 2025Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time as this beautiful home! Fully stocked with spices, towels, rags, necessities, we were able to relax with our family and enjoy the peace and quiet, the gorgeous lake as well as enjoying comfortable drives to Frankfurt beach! This is by far our favorite vacation spot and we will be returning!!!! The open-design was so welcoming and comforting!! The neighbors were also very kind!!

Stayed Jul 5, 2025Location of house was great, great views of the sunset from back porch. House was nice, plenty of room. There were a couple of issues but owner was very quick to respond and get resolved. I was surprised there were no mosquitoes, we didn't see any which was really great.Water in the house tasted a little off so recommend getting bottled or a way to filter it. Lake water was very clear but there is a fair amount of plant life. We rented a boat so would swim in deeper water but if swimming around the dock you will see and feel it. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.

Stayed Sep 5, 2024Weather was not in our favor, but we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful lake and close to Frankfort. Place was very clean and had everything that was advertised. Only negative was the main floor bathroom the toilet did not flush the best. Had to use the upstairs restroom more.

Stayed Aug 31, 2024Thank you for hosting us. The weekend gateway was perfect. Away from the crowds but close to the charming town of Frankfort for dinning and shopping. Very quiet lake and the paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe were a hit. The place was clean, and the beds were comfortable.

Stayed May 24, 2024The stay was nice. There was plenty of room. The weekend was fun and relaxing. We did not have to worry about anything. Enjoyed the paddle board and kayak. We would definitely stay there again.
