Classic Beach House - Walk to Seacliff Beach

We had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the walkable proximity (about 1/2 mile) to the beach, convenience store and ice cream shop, as well as a very short drive to Capitola and Aptos for dining and hanging out. We also drove just a few miles and took a beautiful hike in the Forest of Nisene Marks state park. The house itself was very clean, had everything we needed and wanted. The yard is lovely and and I made good use of the hammock each night. There are a bunch of nice touches, like a couple of bikes, bocce ball in the back yard and a car pass for the State Parks.

This home was perfect for us. The location, the comfort, everything. We felt at home the minute we stepped in. The patio and yard were perfect for my 1 year old grandson. Close to the beach, close to Marianne’s close to Santa Cruz, it was everything we hoped it would be.

Great house and host and had all of our needs. This was the second time we have stayed here and we will look to stay here again in the future. Really close to the State Parks we enjoy.

Owner thought of everything with chairs for beach.Close walk to beach and day pass was a nice touch too. Recommend providing sugar and creamer and coffee filters. Pillows were flat. Outdoor fire pit would be nice. We would stay again.

Absolute amazing stay and experience. As an architect, I appreciated the great interior layout but more importantly, the amazing outdoor space. We interchanged lounging in the “front yard” and amazing backyard. Very useable and well appointed. We even played bags and bocce in the backyard and used the bikes to get to and from the beach. Thank you Colm for sharing your home with us!!!

Our stay was exceptional! This home is well suited for families, even those with young children. Our kiddos had a blast running around the backyard. The house itself was clean and cozy. The host has everything you need for a fun day at the beach (7-10 minute walk). Aptos is an absolute delight. We cannot wait to come back!

We had a Very nice experience. It was a nice place to be it felt safe and everything went smoothly. I don’t have any complaints. The decorations were nice the place was comfortable and clean and cutely decorated.

A superbly designed living space. The kitchen was a delight to use. The outdoor patios were expansive and convenient. Returning from the beach was a breeze with the outdoor shower with hot water. The enclosed backyard was excellent for a little toddler running around. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The furnishing had taste and function.

Property was very clean. Beds were comfy. Everything we needed was on site. Communication with property owner was fantastic. Home is conveniently located near a Safeway, Peete’s coffee, etc. Marianne’s ice cream around the corner was fantastic. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Loved this home and the quiet neighborhood. Especially loved the State Park Pass and all the recommendations. Host is amazing and helpful. Santa Cruz Beach Train to the Redwoods was so fun!

We had a great experience staying at this property. It was very clean and had all the essentials. Everyone enjoyed time in the hammock and we even got in a couple games of Bocce ball. The owner is very attentive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Took my mom out to CA to visit my brother. He hasnt been so fortunate and she is 85, but she wanted to see him, as it's been a while. The house was a perfect setting to sit around and share memories, as well as close proximity to the beach and icecream!

Just down the PCH from Capitola and Santa Cruz, the Kennedy Beach House felt like our home away from home for spring break. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces and fully - stocked home. It was the perfect location along the coast with easy access to the valley and ocean beaches.

Great location and clean property was great for our trip to the area. We stayed there to take advantage of Henry Cowell State Park, Calla Lilly Valley (in season), dinner at Shadow Brook with transportation via a 65 checker cab and an afternoon strolling Carmel by the Sea. The property was clean, outdoor area was great and would stay agin (we frequent the area).

Tidy home in a quiet neighborhood, and the location is convenient to everything: beach walks, redwood hikes, shopping errands in town, and quick trips into Capitola and Santa Cruz. Extra pluses: well-stocked kitchen, multiple sunny patios, Golden Poppy Pass for free admission to California state parks, and the gas fireplace really warms the place up on chilly nights. The quietness of the neighborhood is the most amazing thing, though. I don't think I've ever experienced quieter conditions in a popular beachside location.

Very clean, quiet, peaceful, cozy and all around amazing place to stay. Also within walking distance to Seacliff Beach. What more could anyone ask for?

Wonderful beach house in Aptos! I have absolutely nothing negative to report. My mom (77 yrs old) and I stayed for 3 nights. We celebrated a late Xmas with my 2 adult sons and their wives. We brought our traditional Ukrainian Xmas food and the kitchen was PERFECT for us to serve our dinner. Super comfy living room with a warm gas fireplace that heated the house perfectly. The 6 of us sat comfortably around the large island/bar for dinner. The outside area, both front and back was impressive and super accommodating for a summer stay (which we will definitely be back for).Also, I must mention the beds were very comfortable; my Mom stating it was the most comfortable bed she’s ever slept on! (We will be replacing her current mattress to match the one here at this house!)Thank you Colm and Stephanie for making your lovely beach home available for others to enjoy.

We had a great visit with family. The kitchen was great for cooking and prep. The location was great for exploring beaches and Redwood forests! We loved our time here!

The property was clean and tidy.This home had a large kitchen island that made cooking for our bunch a breeze.

Loved the outdoor shower, the guest book, how nice and clean it was, the toys for the kids, etc.We went to a friend's wedding so didn't have time to bike around and explore the beach, but the neighborhood is great.

Spent 2 nights with our family of 5 adults. Location was perfect, quiet neighborhood but close to everything we wanted to do. Enjoyed quick walk to the beach and ice cream. Loved all the extras…the park pass, bicycles and beach equipment. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We can’t wait to return to the area and hope this home is available when we do.

Everything went well. Easy to get in. Very comfortable, attractive and clean house in a really nice neighborhood. Easily accessible to many attractions. Very satisfied stay.

Cute clean home in quiet neighborhood. Beach was closer than expected but still drove since the walk back would have been uphill. Having our vehicle there was easy with the parking situation and loved having the Poppy pass they provided to get in to the state beaches, otherwise we would have been paying 10 bucks at every stop for entry. No contact with host was needed, but it appears they were attentive but kept distance which was nice.

The property was lovely, very well appointed, and as pictured. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary equipment and we especially appreciated the bookshelf of family board games! Thanks!

I brought my son from Florida to visit my daughter who lives in Santa Rosa, The home was the perfect setting for the three of us. It had everything we needed. Beautiful outdoor patios, light and bright. Quiet street in walking distance to beach and restaurants. I highly recommend it for any age group wanting a getaway.

This was the perfect house for our little getaway trip with our family of 5. We had all the amenities we needed, very clean, close to the beach, and lots of restaurants/grocery stores nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a perfect beach house for our family of five.

This was a great spot to have our first vacation as a family of 5. We have small children and wanted to have somewhere close to the beach but still in a quiet neighborhood. This spot was great. They loved the backyard when we weren't at the beach, especially the hammock. All the amenities were great and while it was close to everything, the neighborhood was quiet and lots of families enjoying the nice weather.

My husband and two children stayed here for 3 nights. We would have stayed longer if it was available! This is the perfect amount of space for the 4 of us. The outside seating/space made it feel so spacious. The neighborhood was very quiet. I loved the fact that we had a state park pass to use as Seacliff Beach is close by. We chose to drive there instead of walk. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the beds were comfortable, and the washer and dryer worked well. The information binder was a plus! We’d love to come back for a stay again and explore more of the area. Just a heads up, at this time, there tends to be a lot of traffic on highway 1, so plan your travel time accordingly if going to Santa Cruz.
