Excellent to get away from the city, a quiet, safe and warm place makes you feel at home

This house was very clean and spacious. Very well kept beds very comfortable. Deck in the back with grill made our outdoor dinner extra special. Front porch ricking chairs watching the wild birds, humming birds and a family of deers was pretty amazing. Carolyn was a great host and always available. Will definitely be back soon!

The host, Carolyn, was welcoming and readily offered additional items as requested. If she'll have us, we'd love to stay again!

This cabin offered everything we needed. Loved the location and the privacy it offers. It was very well stocked. If you forget something, chances are they have it there!

The host was the best thing about this stay. She is very kind, helpful and prompt at communicating. She even went above and beyond by mailing my daughter's left stuffed animal back to her. Thank you!

Perfect for a weekend family stay

The home was super clean and extremely neat and organized. The front and back porches were very inviting and peaceful. Loved the fenced in back yard, perfect for walking your pet or letting your little one run off some energy. Water pressure was great and the hot water lasted for both of our showers. We loved that this was off the road and we heard no noise besides nature.

Very comfortable & quiet retreat

The Wakulla Retreat house was an excellent rental. My dog was entered in an event at North Florida Fair grounds and it was perfectly located for an easy 15 minute drive. House was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for my pet and the place was quite and peaceful. Bird feeders were fun to watch. Carolyn was a perfect hostess and let us know anything in the area we needed to know about. Less than a half hour from the beach, Wakulla Springs or St. Marks NWR. I would highly recommend it. 10/10!!!

The house was located in nice location that was close to our fishing charters. It felt secluded and very peaceful. The house was very clean and had all the things you would need. I really appreciated the house being dog friendly with the fenced yard. The host was very nice, accessible, and quick to respond. I would stay here again!

We loved staying at this property. We took our dogs and the backyard was so wonderful, we didnt have to worry about them at all. It is off the beaten path which is what we wanted. Everything we needed was supplied and we.didnt want for anything.

It was in perfect proximity to everything we wanted to see. It was so peaceful and well kept!

Nice place. Friendly Suggestion - repair back deck, one board I stepped on it fell through (dry rotted).

We love the location along with the quiet surroundings. Along with being able to see different wildlife animals and enjoying the springs.

We had a great time with the grandkids! The Marine Specimen Lab was a big hit and Wakulla springs never lets you down. The cabin was conveniently located and a really peaceful stay.

When we turned down the sheets to go to bed in the master bedroom there was a cockroach!!! Also, the rug and furniture had long white pet fur on it which after contacting the owner was vacuumed up. Should have had her vacuum entire cabin in retrospect. She offered to. There were also bugs/roaches in bottom kitchen cabinets. Several dishes were not cleaned properly by previous guests. Enjoyed the area and the quiet neighborhood. Owner was very friendly and accomodating.

We loved it so much we stayed 3 months. We were able to relax and enjoy nature around us - the birds, the squirrels, and the deer. We finished a couple of nagging projects that never got done at home. Carolyn was a perfect host, available but not intrusive

We had to evacuate from our coastline central Florida home, facing a Cat 4 hurricane. We found the retreat here and it was heaven. The home was clean and comfortable. The yard and grounds were so enjoyable. We asked to meet our host, Carolyn because she was so gracious and kind. The stay became more a “vacation “, rather than a nerve wrecking event. We can’t wait to go back and stay longer and enjoy more of the area! The home is also well equipped with many of your needs.

Ms Carolyn and Floyd were great hosts and coordination from them was great ! The place was nice and clean ! Peaceful, woodsy andsecluded , has neighbors in the distance! The hosts checked on us for arrival and we spoke to them on departure, friendly and just good folks ! We will definitely book with them again ! P.S. the fur babies also loved the fenced back yard and bbq area !
