We offer you the opportunity to stay at The Buena Vista Cottage, a quaint 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage that is two houses away from the West passage of Narragansett Bay! There are views of Narragansett Bay from the sunroom and backyard however there are panoramic views from two private beaches that are within walking distance from this cottage. The back yard is fenced in and has an outdoor shower.

This house has everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. Aside from the two private beaches that are walking distance from this property, there are several beautiful Rhode Island beaches just a short drive away. The Buena Vista Cottage has an eat in kitchen with GE Cafe appliances and granite countertops. We also offer a coffee bar that is stocked with K-cups. A toaster oven for quick snacks is also provided. In the sun room there is a sitting area and a high top table that can also be used for dining, a night of games with the kids, or cards with some friends. Extra chairs for the kitchen or sunroom are located in the basement. The living room has a couch, two bar stools at the kitchen breakfast bar and a chair with an ottoman. The 55 TV smart TV swivels towards the living room, kitchen, or the sunroom. There is a large coffee table where you can do puzzles on a rainy day or layout your favorite pictures or magazines. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen size Sleep number bed. The decor is relaxing, has beach accents, and has as photography from some of of favorite local locations. We do not offer early check in or late check out. You will need to bring beach towels, bath towels, and bed sheets. We are pet friendly, but we only allow 1 pet per visit.

Ed's Beach - There is limited parking at Ed's beach but this beach is a 3-4 min walk (.3 miles from the house.). This beach is the rockier of the two beaches however has the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. You can also go clamming (RI clamming license required.). The beach has a boat launch and you can also bring your own or rent kayaks/paddleboards. Sorry,. there is no boat trailer parking available as the parking is very limited. You can see the Jamestown bridge and the Newport Bridge from this beach.

Anthony's beach - Anthony's beach is a flat 9-10 minute walk and is .5 miles away from the house. There is no parking available and the beach path is nestled away to reveal a sandy beach. The waves are very subtle as you are in the Bay.

If you like to walk or ride bikes this community is very safe to do both. There is a 1.2 mile loop that takes you by the water and past both beaches. There is very little traffic and residents are very cautious of pedestrians. Be sure to wave as everyone is very friendly.

The town of Wickford, named USA todays best historic town in 2022 is a short 4 minute drive down the road and is super cute. Several restaurants and local business line the main road and the town often has art exhibits and other outdoor events such as the witches paddle near Halloween. Wickford Harbor is gorgeous and is also great to explore!! If you want to rent a Kayak, the Kayak Center is right in the heart of Wickford. Rent a kayak or paddle board for the day or the duration of your stay or go on one of their tours. Eateries to check out are Tate's (Italian), Wickford on the Water (American/seafood), Mickey's (pizza), and Shayna's (lunch). For a unique brunch experience check out Sweet Marie's Tea Cottage. Reservations are required for Sweet Marie's Tea Cottage.

Our house is central to many great locations in Rhode Island and close to Connecticut and Massachusetts. There are plentiful restaurants, most with amazing views, and public beaches that are within 30 mins of this cottage. If you need a recommendation feel free to reach out. This was great home base for our Newport, RI coast vacation. The home was very clean, comfortable, and the owner was very communicative. We enjoyed the neighborhood for morning/evening walks and runs. Wickford is a cute town to explore with good restaurants. A great stay.

House was very clean. It had all the amenities that you would need. Nice location in quiet neighborhood. Close to beaches. We had 4 adults and two children-would definitely recommend it!

We were surprised with our stay based on the reviews. The house was nice and the location was really good, but the overall experience left it somewhat to be desired. It started with not receiving the check-in information until 52 minutes AFTER the reservation started, rather than the 30 minutes before that we were told. This was only an issue because half our group got their earlier than us and couldn't drop their stuff off until we gave them the code.Next, the listing said that there were beach towels provided. However, once we arrived and looked through the binder they provided (which was very helpful), we found that the beach towel portion was crossed out. When we reached out about the beach towels at 4pm on our first full day there (we stayed 4 days) to see if this was a mistake, it took over 48 hours to hear back, at which point it was our last day and they only responded that they would look into it and get back to us.The house had some oddities. For one, there was a large liquor bar right next to the 3rd bedroom that did not have a light switch. My wife, our baby and I stayed in this room so the baby woke up when we went into our room at night. Additionally, the only way to get into the master bedroom was either through the second bedroom or the bathroom.Overall it was still a good stay, but we were very surprised given the cost and that it had 10/10 reviews for everything. It seemed to be more set up for the owners than as a vacation rental.

The cottage was great, plenty of space for my wife and I to stay with our 4-month old and German Shepard mix. I grew up in North Kingstown and we stayed in the cottage for a 5 day weekend to visit my family while still having our own space for quiet time. After check in, my wife and I took a look through the welcome binder and I was pleased to find that I agreed with almost all of the hosts' recommendations for restaurants and things to d. The only ones I didn't agree with were the places I hadn't been yet.The fenced backyard was great for playtime with our dog, and the quiet neighborhood is an excellent location to take our dog for a walk. The two beaches in the neighborhood are a short walk away, and the outdoor shower (which has hot water!) was really handy after coming back from a morning walk on the beach.A couple low spots in the ceilings probably wouldn't be ideal if you're over 6 feet tall, but that was nothing that myself or my wife had to worry about. The kitchen is well set up for almost anything you'd need, and the air conditioning worked perfectly to keep us comfortable.

From the minute we saw the cottage we knew it was going to be a great vacation. The property and cottage are well maintained with inviting flowers adorning the entrance. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We explored Providence (30 minute ride) and had amazing food at their Little Italy section, and pastries to die for. An evening enjoying dinner on the water and watching the sunset in Jamestown was lovely. Everywhere is dog friendly and even though we didn't bring ours it is great to know for the next time we come on vacation! Views from both beach areas close to the cottage are spectacular.

So grateful for the added support when plans changed with my daughter’s ACL surgery. Nyree and Brian researched accessible areas to allow my whole family to enjoy restaurants and outings. Their home was so comfortable and well-stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and allowed us to push the wheelchair for walks. We loved the kayak, and my daughter was able to read her book in her wheelchair. There were easy steps so that she could use her crutches to get in and out of the house. Being sensitive to the humidity, the air conditioning was perfect. The attention to decor and the beautiful flowers gave us sunshine on a rainy day. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely return. Mary Lou B. Westfield, Massachusetts

My friends and I enjoyed this cottage immensely. It is very apparent that Nyree takes a great deal of pride in her home and in the furnishings of it. We were so impressed with the furnishings (So much, that I stopped at the furniture store that she purchased the dining room table at and bought one for myself) and the extras available for our use such as a wagon and chairs to haul stuff to the beach. Having the outdoor shower, which was such a special treat and the smokeless fire pit and the Adirondack chairs provided us so much comfort in our stay. While we were there, we experienced an issue and contacted Nyree. Not only did she immediately send someone over, but she promptly refunded my account without me asking. These are the type of people that I want to do business with! You won’t be disappointed and I highly recommend that you stay here in North Kingstown!

The cottage was lovely and easily accommodated our family of 4. We could explore area towns (most a short distance) and return for a lovely evening. The neighborhood was quiet and made for a beautiful location to enjoy a walk along the water. The hosts provide a book of suggested restaurants, activities, etc and they were spot on. Overall a wonderful stay!
