Stayed Dec 31, 1969We thoroughly enjoyed our break in Betty’s cottage, lovely large room where you can cook, relax and eat and we sat out in garden. Fantastic wood burner. Kitchen fantastically equipped. Plenty of space, lovely large bedrooms, very comfortable beds. Spotlessly cleaned. Close to the lovely beach, lovely pub, the ship and a deli type shop with a great bar attached for families. All in all an excellent place to stay and would book again. Could not fault it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We found the cottage was exceptionally clean with the exception of the patio windows, which looked as thought hey had not been cleaned for a very long time Despite this the cottage was exceptionally clean, bathrooms and bedrooms spotless Also we would have expected at least a spare pedal bin liner We have stayed in Norfolk properties for 10 years , both private hire and also with one of Hideaways competitors and we have always received a welcome pack, for the cost of the hire not too much to ask hence my low score for VFM There was a full bottle of milk in the fridge which was 3 days out of date!! Despite my comments above I would consider staying there again

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have stayed at Betty’s cottage before and have booked to stay again later in the year. We just love it! It is situated near Brancaster beach - which our two dogs love. There is a local shop nearby and Hunstanton is not far away for larger supermarkets. The accommodation itself is wonderful! It is spacious light and airy. The large open plan kitchen is equipped with everything you need. There is even a large selection of picnic equipment for guests to use. The garden at the rear is fully enclosed with mature shrubs - trees - and a raised grassy area with sun loungers. The patio area next to the house is paved and has a table chairs umbrella and barbecue. The sofas and beds are very comfy. There is a large flat screen tv with iplayer and Netflix and also a DVD player. It’s quiet there and so relaxing. We love staying there! You can really wind down. Betty’s has spoiled us from going anywhere else really. We really look forward to our next visit!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Betty's cottage is fabulous ! We have stayed in many holiday cottages but this one is one of the best. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you could possibly want or need. Great family space with comfy seating and a woodburner for that extra cosy feel. The three bedrooms were all very comfortable, with beautiful linen. The cottage is ideally positioned for a walk to the beach (15mins at most) and also has a lovely garden. A really fantastic long weekend in a great cottage.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at Betty’s Cottage over the New Year week. We had a great time, the weather was kind and the rain stayed away. Although it was extremely muddy when out walking the dogs. But the dog washing area was just fantastic and helped us to keep the cottage clean too. There is everything you might need in the cottage, it’s very well appointed and well maintained. The beds are really comfortable and good quality bed linen and towels are provided. There lots of space for 4 people and 2 dogs. But I think it may be a bit cosy if there were 6 adults. Only really enough lounge seating for 4 people to sit comfortably. We were really pleased that there were plenty of cleaning materials, toilet rolls etc. This isn’t the usual case for many self catering lets. The location is great, just go out of the cottage and turn right walk a few hundred yards and you have the choice of walking to the beach or across the marsh to Brancaster Staithe. Fantastic for dog walking and some great spots for birdwatching. The beach is amazing too. My only criticism would be that the road was extremely busy with cars going to and from the beach and cars parking on the verges too. It must be a real nuisance if you lived in Brancaster permanently. This did subside after the Monday bank holiday, as weekend visitors left the area. There are some great pubs and restaurants in the area and two fantastic delis. We have been visiting the area now for over 20 years and stayed in many homes in the Thornham and Brancaster villages. I think this was the best, not only for the location, but it’s such a lovely cottage and so very well maintained.
