The views are stunning, the local town is lovely. The first look of badgers view we were so excited. Then we entered to hut. It didn’t smell clean, the floors were dirty luckily there was a broom there so I could sweep up the last guests dirt. The kitchen is in much need of a make over, the sides are in awful condition, the fridge is cracked, the floor is all over the place, it’s starting to dip. The floor boards are starting to come apart this is due to the damp. The whole kitchen looked dirty. The bedroom with the door on the front was perfectly fine, the other bedroom with the window was fine but the window didn’t open with the key being missing, this is surely an emergency exit hazard. The bedroom with the bunkbeds needed the floors sweeping, the top bunk mattress was miles to small for the bed so there was a pillow put in the gap to cover it. Down the hall was there was a mat covering a whole in the floor, it was felt straight away. The floor through out felt like it was sinking. You can see where the whole hut has sunk by how the doors are now hanging, the cracks up high in the bathroom and hall way. For how much it cost to stay for the weekend it think it’s general maintenance should be kept up. Also there’s no way the hot tub is emptied and refilled between guests. All in all, a bit disappointing with the accommodation but the views and surrounding areas are lovely.

We had a fantastic stay in Gellilas. Brilliant experience being in a hobbit home. The location is superb with loads to do nearby. Inside the home was spotless and made a very good first impression. We did however notice a few points that could easily be rectified and would have made this a more comfortable experience. Firstly the seating bonquette style was extremely uncomfortable and in our opinion totally unnecessary as a corner sofa would have fitted easily. Not only was it uncomfortable we were sticking to the seating, wearing shorts as it was hot weather. Secondly the tv was preset to only have bbc channels available all the other channels were via apps so needed to have logins created, we didn’t feel safe doing this as our details might be seen by future guests. Maybe a company log in would negate this issue. Lastly a number of floorboards had risen or worn which would have the potential to cause a trip/injury. As we said these are minor issues and did not detract from the time we spent there and it would not stop us from using Holidays Wales or this site again but maybe not Badgers View.

After looking forward to this unique concept with stunning view we were very disappointed with the very tired and in desperate need of some love property. Toilet seat was filthy and hanging off, floors are extremely tired and wonky, the place smelt of dogs and the bathroom was fusty and damp. Nearly every surface is damaged. The cleaner hadn't done a full clean, crumbs and hairs everywhere, food splashed up the units. Bedding had holes, we stripped the beds to find a mouldy quilt (you have to strip beds an hour before leaving, hot tub gets turned off night before you leave). We would recommend it needs renovation before more customers go in.

Fantastic location and loved the accommodation, however it was very wet and windy when we stayed and there was water dripping through the lights in the kitchen onto our backs when we were eating at the table. One of the bedrooms had water coming through the door making it very damp. It seems maybe it could have done with some TLC to make sure these issues are sorted.

Fabulous location, stunning views to wake up to. Comfortable place to stay. It rained all weekend but the hot tub was perfect to relax in. Only negative point was the curtains do not fit the windows and my daughter struggled with the outside light coming in. We will return in the summer months

A gorgeous place to stay with outstanding views. Badgers View was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Every need was catered for and provided a fantastic retreat for us to relax in and explore the countryside. Thank you so much.

Beautiful location and stunning views! The hobbit holes are well thought out, fun and cosy. They were so warm inside which I wasn't expecting and the hot tub is a brilliant touch. Plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen had all utensils, beds were comfortable and I absolutely loved the shower! Would recommend and would stay again.

Cons: No storage/wardrobes Not enough seating for the 6 of us Stalls to high to eat comfortably at the counter Poor lighting outside (lights there but not working) and no response when sent a message about it. Pros Location was fab - beautiful views and only 5 mins into the town. Beautiful scenery/views Spotlessly clean Comfy beds The rainfall shower was a hit Hot Tub Parking right outside accommodation We would stay again but not with 6 of us in one accommodation.
