Avalon Cottage < Half-Mi to Beaches & Crescent Ave

The unit was within walking distance of downtown and the grocery store. It was furnished with all the items you might need (kitchenware, bedding, etc.). It does have A/C but the portable kind and didn't really cool off the bedroom (ceiling fan helped with that). I would stay again.

It was perfect for the two of us for our trip.

Nice stay in Avalon. Check in/out was very easy. The unit was well stocked with everything we'd need for the weekend and clean. It was very close to the supermarket, shops, restaurants. Our stay was very quiet. The towel bars and showerhead in the bathroom need attention but we notified the staff contact about those who acknowledged our text right away.

We had a great time. The cottage was clean and had all the comforts of home. The hosts thought of many things we might need to borrow such as beach towels and chairs. It was nice to be so close to the beach and the grocery store. It really helped to have bottled water and some food of our own. Check in and check out was super easy.

The cottage was easy to find. Everything worked in it. The shower head pressure was exceptional. The unit was immaculate. We came back after walking all over Avalon and relaxed. I made dinner one night. Has all the cooking utensils, pots and pans that I needed.

Small but satisfactory stay with all necessary amenities. Fold out sofa was very comfortable as a second bedroom. Very clean and convenient to everything. I would stay here again when I return to Avalon.

Our family group of 3 stayed at the rental for 3 nights. We arrived in the rain on a Thursday night. It was cold and wet. The rental was easy to find, located behind a front unit and up a few stairs. I love the solar night lighting located along the stairs, making it easy to see where to go. The rental was tidy but some things could of had a better cleaning like, the stove/ oven/coffee filter/towels. The towels had bleach stains on them and after using them after just one shower, they smelled rather musty. Since we stayed in March and it was cold, the rental has no built-in heating so it took a while to warm up. The space heater in the main living space worked well but it took some time to warm the whole space. The couch was a bit bumpy to sleep on. The bed in the main bedroom was wonderful, very comfy, soft and warm. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. The tap water had a slight chlorine taste so we bought bottled water from Vons down the street. I loved the location. It was quiet and safe. It would be so nice to have some outdoor seating at the rear of the unit. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and did so many wonderful things. I would definitely be back and would consider staying at the same location in the future.

We had a lovely 2 days here. The condo was super clean and easy to access. A few blocks from the water and a few blocks from Garnet St made it walkable to everything we needed. Great stay!

Perfectly cozy cottage with everything we needed to enjoy our Catalina getaway

I’m giving this 5 stars because the cottage was great! Walking distance to everything, Vons was right down the street, it was clean, bed was very comfortable, the sofa sleeper was a little odd but it worked for 2 teenage girls definitely wouldn’t work for adults. Now my only complaint was the contact Host, she was very poor at communicating with me and my questions my text messages were ignored my emails were ignored I asked Her about an early check in because our boat was coming in early and she responded with she was super busy and I can Store my luggage at the boat dock I did Not think that was a professional response, then my last day there me and my family were having such a great time we wanted to stay another night so I reached out to her to see if it was available, she did respond, Let me check, and then I never heard from her again so we ended up coming home. I would love to stay in this cottage again like I said it was great. I just hope it’s a different experience with the host next time.

We had a great weekend. The Evolve team got us an early check in so my wife could relax while I was in a class. The cottage was clean and very updated but still felt like a classic beach house. Overall a great time. Thank you

Amazing neighborhood. Pleasant stay. Veronica kindly let us check-in early. There was a stain on the sheets, so we took a photo of it. Other than that the place looked amazing. It is in walk-able distance to multiple beaches and the strip mall area. There is a Vons nearby where we got our groceries for our stay. Our son enjoyed the stay so much.
