Ski Town Condos - Mountain Comfort in Monarch/Garfield, Colorado

Pros: Nicely decorated. Spacious. Kitchen well stocked. Cons: Cleaning fee too high for what guest is expected to clean themselves before departing. No dishwasher. Early checkout at 10:00 am. Overall nice place to get away.

This is a very quaint and relaxing mountain condo. The location worked well for us since we were visiting Salida, Crested Butte and Monarch during our short summer vacation. The owner, Gigi, was very kind, communicative and hospitable. She checked in with us the first night to make sure we were comfortable and took the time to answer questions about local hikes on day two. We had three adults and two children with us, so the size was just right for us. The only area we had problems with was the kitchen because it is pretty narrow, however it is well-stocked with the supplies you need to make coffee, meals, drinks, etc. There's also a grill available for you to use - we grilled some burgers our first night. The hot tub is HUGE and very relaxing after a long day. Keep in mind that you're responsible for cleaning up after yourself - for example, sheets need to be removed from all beds, the towels need to be washed, floors swept, etc. prior to departing. We really enjoyed our stay and I would love to visit again during ski season - it's just a couple miles from Monarch Ski Resort.

The WIFI is awful. We had work and personal calls, computer work to get done in the evening and we could not make any phone calls. We could only text. No TV service either. It wasn't bad - it wasn't available at all! We had to leave to make each call, it was not ideal.

Gigi is like family! The place is well kept and exactly what is needed for an escape to the mountains. Perfect for couples, family (2 fun bunks built in) or a place to share with friends. Closest thing you can get to the ski area. Nice deck and hot tub for the day's end. Love it! Gigi even took a big broom to clean the snow from my car before I headed back down to town. 3

Gigi was a great host and the condo was a perfect location to Monach Mountain which doesn’t have its own lodging on site. Perfect for our family of 5.

Perfect location to stay at for skiing at Monarch Mountain. Enjoyed being able to cook dinner vs going out at night. The hot tub was so nice too. Beds were very very comfortable - both me and my husband agreed that we have low expectations for beds when we stay at VRBOs - so this was a surprise (we only slept in the beds - did not use the pull out couch).

Felt like home in the mountains! Easy and so close to Monarch!

Ski town condos is an amazing place to stay! It was so cozy and in such a beautiful setting! My husband and I loved staying there! Our host Gigi provided everything we needed in our condo, and was so hospitable we also loved the hot tub!

It was very nice. Quiet.Hot tub was relaxing, after a day of rock hounding. Centrally located and close to several large peaks. We've been vacationing in the area for the last 4 summers Only thing we would recommend is that you take condiments,spices, etc.with you if you plan on using the kitchen for meals. The bunk beds were a hit with the youngest. The owner,Gigi, was super accommodating. Recommend.

We loved our stay at Ski Town Condos! It was super clean. It was stocked with everything we needed and the location was excellent for mountain lake and stream fishing for the week. Gigi, our hostess, was great to work with and pours her heart into this property. We look forward to a return visit!

We enjoyed staying at Gigi’s place. It was close to Monarch mountain. We loved the hot tub! Gigi was very communicative and helpful. It was very quiet and relaxing.

The place was so close to the ski resort. 8 minute drive. There were bunkbeds kind of built into a closet that I didn’t remember seeing in the photos. That was a great surprise because we used them. The place was clean and the hot tub was great, also very clean. We would stay again.

We typically stay in Salida when skiing Monarch but found this place and it checked all the boxes. It must have the thickest walls ever because I am a light sleeper and heard nothing our whole trip which was just delightful! Hot tub was peaceful and convenient and the bed situation offered options when traveling with teens. Our host was lovely and the condo was immaculate! Thank you for sharing your slice of the mountains with us! We look forward to returning!

My family of five recently stayed over spring break. Gigi was there when we checked in and is such a kind and helpful person. She was quick when we ran out of paper towels, and came over when I asked for help navigating the roads (which I later saw was also in the binder provided in the condo).The condo was nice - water was hot and hot tub hotter. The pullout couch was only used one night but the beds were comfortable and the storage closet was big enough for a child to sleep in :). I suspect some might say the kitchen is small - and it is - but frankly we weren't there to make complicated meals. It got the job done. Convenience to Monarch Ski Area was surprisingly quick - a measly 5 miles! I couldn't believe it. I am sure we will be coming back in the coming years. Thank you for a great stay!

The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day after skiing. Host was friendly, and place was cozy!

My friends and I enjoyed staying here. The cabin is adorable and cozy but honestly we spent most of our trip either skiing or in the hot tub which was fantastic and super convenient. The host was very kind and always made sure the hot tube was ready for us after a long day of skiing. They also provide tons of towels which was appreciated so that we could use them for showering and getting out of the hot tub. I think this is a great place to stay for a couple of friends or a small family as long as you don’t mind sharing a bathroom.

This is a great place to stay when enjoying the area. For us, our daughter and granddaughter spent a few days enjoying the area and skiing at Monarch. It is a great location, Gigi, the owner is very friendly and attentive and the place provides a great get-a-way for us. We were there last year and returned this year. That is a great endorsement.

We stayed at ski Town condos for a ski trip and it was exactly what we were looking for. Easy parking, easy check in, clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
