***THE SPACE***

The views --- the breathtaking views are the heart of Nahil penthouse. The master bedroom, master bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, infinity pool, and swim-up bar are all oceanfront. Situated on the secluded north end of this beautiful bay, Nahil penthouse overlooks the most spectacular stretch of turquoise water surrounded by coral reefs, powder white sands, and palm trees blowing in the breeze. From the bird's eye view of the penthouse you can literally see eagle rays and turtles swimming below, the occasional catamaran cruising by, and pelicans spying on you at eye level.

Decor --- from the moment you walk into Nahil penthouse you are struck with the delicate balance where ocean meets jungle, comfort transforms to beauty, and nature fades into elegance. This residence was custom designed to incorporate nature into a living work of art: showers made from corals, jungle trees sprouting from floor to ceiling, tiles embedded with fossils, and Mayan stones covering entire walls. Fall asleep to the lapping waves and wake up to nothing but Caribbean blue waters.

Bedrooms ---
The oceanfront master bedroom with its custom king size bed has an open layout where the main wall slides into itself, floor-to-ceiling double sliding doors open onto the terraza, and the over sized bathroom and double shower overlook the room and the brilliant turquoise waters below. Mayan stone walls, trees wrapped in strangler vines, corals sprinkled with shells, and natural slabs of wood are the building materials here.

The guest room overlooks the jungle treetops with a hanging king size bed made of natural trees and an en-suite bathroom laid-en with corals and shells.

The rooftop palapa loft can be configured for one queen, two queens, one twin, or two twins for the kids or more adventurous travelers.

The two queen sized and two twin inflatable mattresses are also available for use in the living room and guest room (or dining room if you prefer).

Kitchen --- the kitchen is equipped with a six-burner gas stove, over-sized fridge with french doors and ice-maker, over sized dish sink with a separate vegetable washing sink, granite counter tops, breakfast bar, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, and drinkable water from the faucet and fridge.

Living room --- the living room has a large sectional sofa with chaise lounge, 46 flat screen with true surround sound, multi-media center preloaded with Netflix, Spotify, You Tube, etc. The space is surrounded by mayan stone walls with original art, jungle vines, and polished flooring which spills out onto the vast terraza. Every evening the automated mood lighting comes to life as the sun fades away.

Private Rooftop Palapa ---
This is the most amazing space in the home. a 900 square foot private rooftop deck with dining seating, hammocks, lounge furniture, chaise lounge chairs, loft, sink, and bathroom. The views from up here are very special and it's the best place in Akumal to watch the sunsets!

***THE COMPLEX***

Pool & palapa --- a 15 meter infinity pool with jacuzzi-style seating, palm tree island, and sunken chaise lounges comprise some of the highlights. A spacious adjacent palapa is a great place to hide from the midday sun or enjoy a leisurely lunch.

***THE LOCATION***

Nahil is the only new condo complex in Akumal and is situated on an idyllic stretch of beach on Half Moon Bay. There are few tourists walking by since it sits at the end of the bay, but is still within walking distance to the best that half moon bay and Akumal have to offer. It's a 10 minute stroll down the sand to the best beach bar in the area, La Buena Vida. A short 5 minute stroll in either direction gets you to beachfront dining at La Lunita or Italian cuisine at the jungle setting of Que Onda. A mile by bicycle or car down the private road gets you back into the village of Akumal, along with its fabulous shops and restaurants (Lol-Ha, Turtle Bay, La Taverna, and Cueva de Pescador).

Akumal Bay is famous for its docile turtles that you can swim with all year round. Half Moon Bay is a world away from this bustling area with its privacy and beauty. Nahil is situated in front of the most beautiful part of the bay with the clearest water and liveliest reef. Other parts of the bay don't enjoy such amazing views, beauty, and access to the reef. Nahil's north end location allows the northerly winds to drive any flotsam or sargasso to the southerly end of the bay, thus keeping this stretch of beach and water immaculate.

An absolute must-do is to take a 5 minutes walk to the famous Yalku lagoon. This pristine lagoon is where cenotes and their fresh water meet the Caribbean sea, clashing in a unique setting of lush jungles and emerald waters. Wake up early for sunrise or wait until the main entrance closes and have the entire lagoon to yourself.

Akumal is 75 minutes south of Cancun, 30 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen, and 20 minutes north of Tulum. These cities have fantastic amenities but are not the romanticized secluded vacation spots as they are overpopulated with tourists, shops, and restaurants. If you want a big night out, these cities are only a short drive or taxi ride away from your hidden sanctuary.

The condo was absolutely beautiful. The view was amazing. We came right after the hurricane and would barely notice with hardworking staff working on the property constantly. The area is a perfect beach town with a close breakfast place “jungle cafe” and a very friendly restaurant essentially across the street, and a corner market type place maybe 1/4 of the mile down the road. Other more fancy restaurants were also within walking distance. The coral reef… amazing. Friendly and reassuring owner who I am sure I drove nuts with all of my questions. The pictures don’t do the place justice, it was beautiful. 25 minute drive from either Tulum or Playa Del Carmen, walking distance to cenote, you can’t go wrong location wise. Lots of little things that make a big difference… coffee pot with coffee, welcoming drinks, the decorations gorgeous, the snorkeling equipment saved us money in rentals. Only complaints was that we had eight people, the place really should t be allowed to accommodate eight. Although there are two blow up beds there is only room for one inside and the other would have to be outside on the roof without access to us, big protection, or locks (or air conditioner). So we had four people camped out on our he couches. I thought the loft has inside access but was wrong.

Fabulous stay! The condo was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the beach was absolutely gorgeous. The whole area felt safe, peaceful, and friendly, with plenty of convenient parking. We arrived late at night and had a little trouble spotting the ‘Nahil’ sign above the entrance, but we found it. The night guard, Alberto, was incredibly kind and helpful. The only downside to our entire trip had nothing to do with the condo or the area .. If you rent a car, the only problem we had was fueling up at the Pemex gas stations. They try to rip you off every time. You have to be very aware and make sure they start the pump at zero before pumping your gas don’t let them distract you!! and give them the exact amount. Do NOT hand them a credit card! keep it in your hand to use tap and pay because they will steel your card info! and if you hand them the correct amount in pesos and they act like you handed them the wrong amount (they bill switch) just roll up your window and drive away! They could probably fix this problem by changing to self-pay and self pump. Hopefully they figure that out. But back to the condo in the area…flat out amazing. We will be back!!

The condo was great! We had an excellent time! Thank you for sharing your condo with us.Just a note, the bed is high, but they have stools I was alright but I could see some people struggle with it.The location is fantastic! Management was on top of everything before and during our stay! I loved that the transportation, massage, car rental were all local to Akamul. Not large corporations. I hope this continues! Everyone we met was super helpful and kind. I can't wait to return!!!

great location on half moon bay in Akumal. 4th floor view was fantastic but we had to work for it because the elevator didn't work and most likely never will.

Highlights: Amazing view, great staff, gated community, felt very safe. The house keeper does an amazing job and the grounds keepers are very nice and helpful. We loved having breakfast almost daily at the nearby “La Jungla” which is just a short walk away. We also loved having casual dinners and drinks right on the beach at the nearby “La Buena Vida”. This place was almost perfect. Here are some things to note if you’re considering staying here: 1. If you rent a car during your stay, there is parking on site, but not enough parking to accommodate everyone if the building is fully booked. Towards the end of our stay we had to double park at night. 2. The touchpad on the safe did not work during our stay. However the groundskeeper lent us the backup key so that we could store our valuables while we were out. 3. Towards the end of our stay a someone came(unannounced) to work on the AC unit. We left to grab lunch and when we returned, we found ourselves locked out of our place Since guests use the keypad to enter, we had no key to the deadbolt. We had to wait over an hour for them to come unlock the door. After their visit, the thermostat would reset itself to 78 degrees on its own within minutes of us turning it down. We would have to get up several times a night to turn it down to a comfortable temp.

This condo is amazing. I would stay here again without question. From the spacious showers to the blackout blinds to the patio to the well appointed kitchen to the extraordinarily comfortable beds, this place has it all. The on-site management and daily cleaning service are extraordinarily helpful. Above all, the views from Nahil condos are unmatched in Akumal. It's perfect Several restaurants and the public beach are just a short walk down a quaint streetscape. It makes for a perfect after dinner stroll back to the condo. Very safe and friendly environment. Owner was very responsive and her guidebook and helpful tips were spot-on. Thank you!

This was a wonderful place for 2 couples to stay. Location was great! Walked to wonderful restaurants/bars. We rented a car in Cancun but only used it once! Michaela was prompt in replying to questions. She’s wonderful. And the staff was equally as helpful. Highly recommend going with JP to visit a cenote. The rooftop is amazing. The only thing I didn’t realize from the description is the access to it is not from inside the condo. Love that the 1/2 bath is up there! Enjoyed the hammock! When we return to Akumal we will hope to stay here again.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Nahil! We stayed for 8 days. The location is perfect. My kids loved the pool. The water was beautiful and my family had a great time paddle boarding and snorkeling right off the beach. The seaweed was a problem on the surrounding properties but the management did a great job of keeping our beach clear. The smell of the seaweed was a problem while walking through town but we didn’t notice it while on the property. The condo was beautiful and very clean. The 6 of us did fit ( 4 adults and two teens) however there were only two bedrooms so it wasn’t ideal for those who were sleeping on the air mattress in the living room. They felt as though they didn’t have enough privacy and weren't very comfortable on the inflatable mattress. We knew this going in but we were under the impression the pent house only had access from our unit which wasn’t the case so no one really felt comfortable sleeping up there, plus it was just too hot to sleep up there. That being said, we didn’t see anyone else come up during the day while we were using it. The only other thing I would mention is that the elevator doesn’t work and it was a bit cumbersome dragging our heavy luggage up and down the 4 flights of stairs during arrival and check out. My aunt also hurt her hip and had a hard time getting up and down the stairs multiple times a day during our stay. It was a beautiful view and worth it but not good for those with mobility issues or certain health conditions. The town was very nice and we enjoyed shopping and eating at the restaurants. It was also a great location for visiting the cenotes and other attractions such as Xcaret and xelha which were a highlight of our trip. We would recommend this place to family and friends and would definitely stay here again.
