Mammoth Cave, Kentucky
Comfort is key in our climate controlled 5 meter Bell tent on wooden deck. Inviting views are seen from the tent of the hillside. Relax in the hammock or in front of a fire. Clean, updated bathrooms are shared with campground. Tent has A/C-Heat unit, mini-fridge, microwave, & keurig coffee, dishes, & flatware. Small charcoal grill supplied with charcoal, etc. Firewood provided. Camp in style and comfort! Sun shade added for hot summer months.
We are happy to offer a short farm tour where you can meet/treat the animals, just ask.
The dates May 2-5 are recommended for guests attending the event at the local ATV park. The reason for this is the nature of event is quite loud and we want everyone to be able to have a relaxing time here and Noble Pine Campground.
The obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome at our campground, we provide stalls and the park trail across the road is horse friendly. There are several tours to choose from if you’re, you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 20-25 minutes via Green River Ferry route call to check schedule, 40 minutes without)
Trail rides are provided at Double J Stables. (5 minutes) Advance reservation recommended.
Nearby there is Hickory Cabins, it’s more fast food type, and only couple couple minutes away. Opening for the season April -November, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare. Bee spring has KY Rock grill. Bouys at Wax Marina is a fun lake view experience.
The Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you.
In Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do.
Cave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been open since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River. There are attractions such as Dinosaur World, Kentucky Down Under, & Mammoth Cave Adventure. A favorite stop for me is Leo’s woodworking as you exit the park toward cave city.
I recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops nearby in the little downtown.
10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the Variety Shoppe & Detweilers, which has a small bakery and deli and everything from gardening to furniture. There is a separate hunting & fishing store.
A wonderful way to experience Kentucky Cave Country! We are a family with a young child that loves nature but are not hardcore campers, so this was just perfect! The yurt is beautiful, well-constructed, and beautifully appointed. One night during our sale we experienced a very severe storm with heavy rain throughout the day - the tent was bone dry and held up wonderfully. The bed was comfortable and the extra fold-away bed was perfect for our child. The amenities made everything very comfortable - a microwave, minifridge, and keurig, complete with everything you would need to make a cup! There were even dishes and s'mores supplies! The heaters kept the tent nice and cozy even though it got down into the 30s. The bathrooms are a short walk away and definitely the nicest I've ever used while camping - heated with nice showers and amenities to use if you did not bring your own. Our host was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. She introduced our child to the many horses and other animals, giving her some treats to feed to them. She also offered to build our fire for us!
Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in the tent! The location was remote yet wonderful. The tent was very well furnished and the hosts were incredibly friendly. I would advise anyone to give the tent a chance, we absolutely loved it and plan on going back,
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They offered to help make a fire, left us little snacks, and let us help feed the farm animals. Our tent was clean and the air conditioner felt amazing. Thank you for a great time!
Very short drive to the beach at the lake. Short drive to Mammoth Cave if the ferry is working. If not, it about 45 minutes to Mammoth Cave. My boys loved feeding the animals at the farm.
My family and I loved our stay! Everything was wonderful.
The property is gorgeous: rustic horse farm with views of scenic rolling green hills. Favorite parts were watching the stars from yurt platform, hiking in local trails and visiting nolin lake for kayaking and of course caving. We had intense thunder storms which the yurt withstood well! Two bathrooms were clean. Kristen was helpful, very accommodating and responsive. Left a French press upon request for us! If you like nature and animals (cute goats, chickens, horses, dogs, cat) this is the place for you.
We stayed in the adorable permanent tent. The host has a knack for comforting touches. She had the fire pit and s’mores makings ready, water in the fridge. The linens and bathrooms were clean. The view of the pasture with horses happily grazing was very relaxing.
This place is one of those best kept secrets! Accomodations were beyond what you get in a standard hotel and no request goes ignored! Bathroom Shower Rooms are very clean. Linens, utensils, towels, microwave and mini fridge, grill, heater/air conditioner and fire pit with wood are all ready to go when you arrive. If you are an animal lover like me then you are in luck! Farm animals, horses and even a host cat named Nemo. If you are wanting to go to the Blue Holler off-road Park, no worries because it's next door. I 100% recommend lodging here and will definitely be back.
Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, just what me and the hubby needed!!!
so peaceful! kiddo loved feeding animals and being able to run around!
