LAUNDRY: Washer and Dryer + Detergent pods are provided.

HEATING & COOLING: You’ll stay cozy with our Nest smart thermostat. Like most mountain homes, we do not have AC. At 9,000 feet we are generally 20 degrees cooler than Denver. Even as a newer build, AC wasn't installed because it's generally not needed.

TOILETRIES: Premium toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash)

TECH: Bring your work if you must - it’s the ultimate getaway setting for the remote work lifestyle, and you’ll stay connected with our high speed wifi (60 Mbps). Foldup desk available if you need to take a private work Zoom.

Important notes:
-Only registered guests are allowed on the property without prior permission.

--Quiet hours are 9pm-7am in our peaceful, residential neighborhood. Our property is perfect for you if you enjoy the serenity and quiet of the mountains, amazing views, and dark nights with lots of stars. Noise carries around the mountain so if you're looking to make a lot of noise or get rowdy, this property is not a good fit for you. Out of respect to our neighbors, Stone Peak Lodge utilizes NoiseAware(TM) technology which records decibel levels on the property. Thanks for respecting our wonderful neighbors and our community!

-You can park a maximum of three cars in our driveway. Driveway sits flat peak. A AWD/4WD wheel drive is not necessary to reach our cabin (we drive a non-AWD/4WD sedan to get there).

-No gatherings or parties.

-Note that there is absolutely no smoking inside AND/OR outside the house or anywhere on the property (due to high wildfire risk). Any sort of smoking will result in a $500 fee and immediate removal from the property.

-Our cabin is a 15 minute winding, scenic drive up through National Park land (that's how we get the views and the peaceful no highway noise vibes), so some guests like to stop for supplies before making their way up the mountain.

-One side of our backyard and one side of the lower patio has a severe drop-off. Great for privacy, but could be a safety issue for young children!

-Not all furniture is child-safed (secured to the wall).

-The backyard Fire Pit and BBQ grill run on propane. Absolutely no wood burning or charcoal burning anywhere on the property or on the mountain due to wildfire risk.

-Well behaved dogs welcomed for an additional fee (make sure to add in a pet when you request to book) Undeclared pets will incur an additional $250 fee.

-Must be at least 27 years of age to book.

-Our (relatively short) driveway is professionally plowed only if there is more than 3-5 inches of snow.

- All weather or snow tires are required if there is snow or ice on the ground. (These should come standard on any vehicle rented in Colorado during the winter.)(For those driving in from warmer climates - all weather tires are not the same as all season tires. All weather tires have more traction.) The weather in Colorado can be unpredictable. It is possible to have snow and ice as early as October and as late as May (though it is most common to see snow December-March, with episodes of snow in November and April). The roads are well plowed because we're on a school bus line, and fully paved. But the road up is winding with multiple switchbacks, so you will want to drive up and down slowly and at times there may be snow and ice that remains on the road even after plowing.

| Guest access |

Guests have the entire cabin including the double private backyard decks with mountain views, plus the detached suite above the garage. Several closets are locked for staff use only. The garage storage area is not included in the reservation.

| Other things to note |

As required by our insurance, we have a security camera facing the front door and driveway only. There is also a camera inside the garage (the garage is not included in your reservation). If the camera is de-activated, we are required to send someone out immediately to re-activate it. The camera is not monitored but will be actively recording during the guests entire stay.

The cabin was amazing and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were generous to provide plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and garbage bags and it was nice not to have to run to town for any of the basics. The hosts were very responsive, including arranging for an extra night through VRBO when we decided we weren’t ready to leave this fabulous location. The hosts had the best informational booklet I have seen at any rental we have stayed at in the past. Their clear instructions on anything and everything we needed to know about the property were amazing. They also had a QR code posted for access to a video of them explaining how to use and maintain the hot tub, which was a nice personal touch! We greatly appreciated the bottle of wine they left us as a welcome gift. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They responded immediately when we needed batteries for one of the fireplace remotes and promptly gave us access to their locked stash for new batteries. Our stay could not have been better! The view is amazing. Easy drive to Red Rocks.

Such an amazing property. The owners were amazing. The house was amazing. The view was amazing. The location was amazing. We had a great trip 2 adults and 4 kids. The house was perfect for my large family. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Evergreen, this is it. Far enough away from town but still close enough to go into town. You are going to love the wildlife. We had foxes, deer, elk, tons of different birds, hummingbirds, chipmunks and other small creatures. Everyday we got our wildlife in. The house is comfortable, kitchen is great and everything you need is available.

Evergreen is such a hidden gem - and this property is perfectly located, with an excellent scenic view. It makes you feel like you’re totally secluded and still a quick drive into town. We loved that there is a substantial hike opportunity just up the road, very doable with three kids aged 7-10. Can’t wait to get back again!

By far, the best hosts and best property we've ever stayed at. Kate and Dave should teach a master class. All the communication was perfectly timed, all the information provided was very well-written. Friendly, funny, super helpful. The property was beautiful, super clean and everything in working order. Perfect layout, amazing deck, loved the backyard. Our dogs were in heaven. We stayed in October, and there are a bunch of aspens around the property so the fall colors were gorgeous. Elk grazed in the backyard in the early mornings! The kitchen was very well-equipped and laid out, a chef's kitchen. The bookshelf was top notch too - large collection, something for everyone, whether you're looking for an easy beach read or something more cerebral. Smart TV, good internet. Big comfortable beds. Large table perfect for big meals and game nights. The location was absolutely perfect because it's high enough into the mountains that it's quiet and feels remote, but you're only 15 minutes from several grocery stores (the Wal-Mart really is very nice!) and only 40 minutes from Denver. At 9000 feet elevation, it was the highest we've ever stayed at, but manageable (electrolytes are a must!) and very much worth it for us. And miraculously, the mountain driving isn't too nerve-wracking. The drive is so beautiful, we kept finding excuses to run into town just to make the drive again. We spent most of our time at the property, but we hope to return and explore more of the area.

What an absolutely beautiful property and location. My wife and I hoped for a chance to get away, to enjoy the outdoors and the mountain air - and wow, did this property make it easy for us. The location is stunning. The home exceeded every expectation of ours - from the decor, to the functionality (they even have a turn table with vinyl!) to the unrivaled outdoor scenery and seating, every element of the property was simply excellent. And oh yeah, we used the hot tub often during sunset. What a treat! And the property owners were incredible. They were accessible, helpful and genuinely cared about us having the best vacation possible. Plus, their hiking, activity and restaurant recommendations were on-point. Highly recommend this property for those seeking a mountain retreat.

This place is amazing! Joined by my wife and pups, this place gave us a chance to spend the days hiking (several trails minutes from the house) and the evenings relaxing on the patio (unbelievable view!) or watching a movie. The house is close enough to town to enjoy the local restaurants and activities but offers a lot of privacy as well. The house is very clean, fully stocked, with a ton of space for family. We will definitely be back in the future!
