Our local property manager lives nearby and is available if needed.

NEIGHBORHOOD:

The property is in a quiet neighborhood of lakefront homes and resorts, with Big Platte Lake on one side of the road and Little Platte Lake on the other side of the road. Boating, kayaking, and fishing are very popular on both lakes. Peterson Beach on Lake Michigan is also only 4.6 miles from the resort!

Outside of the immediate area, the property is close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, Traverse City, and a lot of cute little beach towns in the area like Beulah, Frankfort, Empire, and Glen Arbor. GUEST ACCESS:

Rental of the cabin includes full access to the resort's outdoor grounds and amenities!

TRANSIT:

It is highly recommended that guests have their own means of transportation.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

(1) There is a flight of stairs from the cabin down to the lake, so accessibility may be an issue for some folks.
(2) Guests are welcome to bring their own motors or rent one for use with the row boats. Crystal Lake Marina in Honor and Beulah rent boat motors. Motors should be 10 Horsepower or less and must be short shaft because Little Platte Lake is VERY shallow.

(4) Peterson Beach on Lake Michigan is only 4.6 miles from the resort!
(5) Pickleball courts located at Village Park, Beulah MI & Market Square Park, Frankfort MI

It's a very cute cottage with a spectacular location. It's decorated very nicely and has everything you need. It was super clean - kudos to your cleaning staff. Would recommend upgrading the mattresses and pillows and strongly encourage you to use a regular patio table and chairs on the screen porch - it's uncomfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the lovely screen porch while sitting on a bench with no back.

We got to the cabin on a 92 degree day only to find out there was no AC and it wasn’t in the listing. So as two females we had to open the windows and use four fans. We didn’t feel safe sleeping with windows and curtains open. Also not pictured or mentioned in the listing…there is an RV that is also rented, it’s parked at the most 10 ft from the house and bedroom window and they can see right in your windows. Very unsettling for two women traveling alone. I would have no problem with either of these things had I known and could have decided to rent a place with a similar price and AC. Other than this the location is superb, cabin is cozy and extremely clean, and the host was helpful.

The Green Laker was the perfect place for our vacation. It had everything we needed, was extremely clean and was lovely decorated. Fishing was very good and hearing and viewing the wildlife was exciting. We hope to return to this cottage in the future.

The Green Laker is one of the best cabins here at the property with direct view of the lake and very short walk to the dock to catch sunrise/ sunset. The cabin is cute and has everything you need, a big refrigerator and enough pots and pans. No washer drier so take ample clothes if you are staying longer, there was a laundromat at Beulah, you could use it if you have no backup clothes. The water may have tannins, so be prepared for it, have your own drinking water just in case. On the overall, this is a fantastic cabin away from the Deadstream road and has no traffic noise which makes you hear all the birds. It is a bit cooler by the lake also which will be ideal for summer. My visit was during memorial day week, the weather was still a bit chilly and the heater in the cabin worked really great. I forgot a few things and the property has contacted me and said they would mail me the items, so the service is top notch, only a phone call away and it was always answered
