Escape to your own storybook hideaway, tucked beneath a peaceful canopy of trees and surrounded by nature's quiet magic. The cozy one-bedroom plus loft bedroom, offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort - ideal for couples, solo travelers, or anyone craving a serene retreat.

Step inside and feel instantly at ease. Thoughtful details give the cabin a warm welcoming feel. The open layout keeps the space bright and airy while still feeling cozy and intimate.

Just off the living room, you'll find a snug sleeping space with a comfortable queen-size bed with the gentle sounds of the forest just outside your window. Jake's cabin truly makes you feel tucked away in your own little world.

The full bathroom is clean and well-appointed, although tiny, it certainly is mighty!

Nature is truly the highlight of this space. A spacious covered porch with a porch swing, wraps you in the sights and sounds of the woods - perfect for morning coffee, reading a good book, or enjoying a peaceful rainstorm sheltered under the roof.

A fairy-lit path winds gently from the parking area to the cabin, along the creek, adding a touch of magic to your mornings and evenings. At night, the twinkling lights guide you to the property's most beloved spot: the creekside firepit.

With your own firepit, roast marshmallows and enjoy crackling fires along the gentle creek (depending on rain amounts in recent days) that runs just steps from your door.

For outdoor meals, a small propane grill is available for simple grilling. Whether you're cooking breakfast or winding down with dinner at dusk, the fresh forest air makes every meal taste a little better.

Nestled deep in the woods, the cabin promises privacy, calm, and a comforting sense of escape - while still being close enough to town for convenience.

From the moment you arrive, you will sense that this place is meant to be a pause button from the world. The whispering creek, the soft glow of the lights, and the cozy charm of the cabin come together to create a stay that feels both grounding and magical.

Please note:

During the fall, due to the amount of trees, there are a few weeks where leaves cover the ground. It takes our team time to get these picked up each fall. This includes leaves in the creek.

The creek is sometimes dry, depending on weather and recent rainfalls.

Beautiful, private cabin that's quiet and peaceful but close to beautiful Elizabethton. Tara is an amazingly thoughtful host. She even had kindling and firewood ready for the firepit. Check in was super easy and the house rules very easy to follow. We definitely will be back. There is a slope with 3 or 4 steps leading to the cabin so yes, for anyone with mobility issues , it may be a consideration. I, myself, have mobility issues and was able to navigate them well (Tara even had 2 walking sticks by the gate to help with the steps!).

What an incredible place to stay while you explore eastern Tennessee! This cozy cabin is tucked away in the woods where you have all the solitude and peace you could want. The cabin was easy to locate, clean, and well stocked. It was incredibly pet friendly- my dog had the best time exploring the yard. It was an easy drive to explore Roan Mountain, Johnson City, and even Smoky Mountains National Park. The host was so kind and responsive to all of my questions. I will absolutely be back again for more adventuring in the area!

The cabin was nice. A bit dark due to its location. It also rained while I was there which didn’t help. But overall it was a nice stay! Tara is extremely nice and was quick to respond when I texted her.

Old pictures, property was very overgrown, dark and damp. Tiny shower, no bathroom pictures posted on Vrbo. Bathroom was clean. Several kitchen issues, dull knives, broken drawers, freezer needed major defrosting. Several lights didn't work. Clean until you looked up. Lots of cobwebs above kitchen cabinets and on ceiling fan. Only handle lock on back door, no deadbolt. Did not feel completely safe way out in the country. Mouse in bedroom wall at night. Told host about issues and that we left 2 days early. No response for 36 hours after I sent another message. Said they were fixing a drawer and defrosted the freezer but found no mouse. Told them where and when heard mouse and where we thought it was coming in. No news about the mouse since. I did not ask for any money back but it certainly wasn't offered either.

I had a nice stay in this wonderful little cabin, there's a small meadow near the gate where you park, I did see some deer in the morning and evening hours and some fireflies at night. Stayed the first week of July.

We loved our time here, my son and dogs enjoyed the creek so much and we enjoyed the privacy of the cabin. We ate every meal outside and had a fire every night. The folding camp chairs are a nice touch and we relaxed in them every evening. Thank you for a wonderful stay that my son will remember for years to come!

Communication with the host was amazing. Jake’s Cabin is the perfect getaway spot to relax and enjoy nature. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch every morning drinking our coffee and listening to the peaceful sound of the small creek on property. We explored the nearby towns and highly recommend future visitors explore Elizabethton. We also enjoyed the fireplace one evening as it was a bit chilly out in the evenings. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Delightful small cabin in a beautiful environment. Accessible to anything you would want or want to do. Everything was just as depicted in the listing & more. One word of caution..this would not work for anyone with limited mobility. Everyone else....come & enjoy.
