It was a nice, beautiful area on a golf course and lake. It was convenient to Giant City Park and access to Carbondale's many restaurant options. Parking at our cabin was a little tight with a small area for three cabin renters to share

Great cabins; clean and had what we needed for a long weekend. Microwave went out and Steve had replacement within hours. The gravel hill to our, and a few other cabins, was challenging with the motorcycle, but slow and steady. Lol. Thank you!

Cabin was easy to find and the stay was very quiet. It was peaceful sitting on the back deck and enjoying the surrounding nature with a cold drink in hand. The inside was well furnished, the A/C was cold, and the layout was nice. We went to the nearby trailhead and did some trail running early in the morning, then spent the afternoons in Carbondale or Giant City. We will stay here again, 5 stars. Thx!

We enjoyed our stay. We were traveling from WI to FL and this was half way. Everything went well. We hiked nearby and enjoyed a few wineries and a Bourbon Bar nearby.

We enjoyed our visit and will probably be returning for next Thanksgiving. Although Makanda is somewhat remote and little to talk about, it was an easy drive to town and we enjoyed the quiet and feeling of privy.

The owner gave very concise instructions to reach the property and enter the cabin. Cabin had all the amenities needed for our stay. It was comfortable and clean. I should also say it is a central area for local hiking and wine or beer trail. I will definitely look for this property again.

Property was centrally located for a weekend full of hiking. Check in was a breeze and the property was as described. The weather was perfect, so we weren’t at the property except to sleep. It was perfect!

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was cute and cozy, perfect for my husband and me. There is a nice deck to star gaze or sit in the sunshine. Steve, our host, went above and beyond helping us with the TV as we like to relax in the evening while watching sports. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!

We rented this cabin so we could meet up with our granddaughter (from Nashville area) to do some hiking. It was perfect for us! We were easily able to drive to Giant City for hiking and dinner. We also drove a bit further to hike at Tunnel Hill and Cache River State park. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. Even though there were several cabins around us, we felt like we had plenty of privacy. We'll definitely be staying here again!

What a great property located in a perfect spot, quiet and close enough to be convenient to SIU. We stayed with our daughter and I hate to be repetitive but I can't stress how great it was for us. Everything we needed was here and it was super clean. We will 100 per cent hope to stay here every visit over the years! Thank you Steve!
