Stayed Mar 27, 2026I could write a novel about how much we loved our getaway! But I will try to keep this short... The moment we walked in we were greeted with the smell of the natural wood which the cabin is built of. We felt at home immediately..We got settled and fell asleep on the couch in front of the fire. We found everything we needed for cooking the food we brought. We had plenty of soft towels, warm blankets (it was unseasonably cool for our stay) we checked out the property, the cave, the old mine ruins, the river. We enjoyed an evening around the fire, and some quiet time in the rocking chairs on the porch. We went to town and had dinner at Spring Creek Tavern ( they have delicious cajun steak philly btw!) The only problem we had was leaving the riverstone! It was a PERFECT quiet secluded getaway. We are already planning our return!!! Can't way to come back and see how beautiful it all is in the summer.

Stayed Mar 20, 2026Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting! Definitely enjoyed the stay. Hoping to come back to the area sometime later this year, if so, we will be looking to rent this quiet little country cabin once again!

Stayed Mar 6, 2026We enjoyed this cabin for the weekend and it was absolutely perfect! We visited Max Patch on the Appalachian Trail and spent the rest of our time fishing the French Broad River and exploring the property. The cabin is exactly as described and pictured— it is beautifully rustic and felt like home! We fell in love with the whole place, to be honest. We cannot wait to come back and see more of the area and hopefully stay a little longer next time. Thank you for opening your amazing property to us!

Stayed Oct 10, 2025Everything was wonderful, we have stayed in that cabin in the past. We missed the hot tub that use to be there but all good lol, and we liked we had better access to the river for fishing, our son gotta experience his first time with a rod. Thank you so much!!

Stayed May 3, 2025Nice Cabin! Ambience was very quaint and I loved the authentic log walls, wood stairs and high ceiling. The cabin was clean, but could possibly use a really deep clean...(windows and sills, inside cabinets). It was a lovely, cozy place to stay for a long weekend and would recommend to others.

Stayed Mar 30, 2025My dog could just roam around, it was really quiet. The cabin is so cute it's unbelievable. There were some stink bugs waking up after winter, buzzing to their end on a lamp, but they'll soon move out, I guess. Didn't bother me and has nothing to do with clean it was.Used the railway to walk to town, short walk, lovely town.

Stayed Jul 18, 2024No hot tub. No view (blocked by train cars). Road to cabin was a little rough and long. Cabin was very nice otherwise.
