Additionally, The Barn has two vaulted indoor wood-burning fireplaces (main level and lower level) made of local river rock, hand crafted, oak log queen-sized beds, a full-service gourmet kitchen, an outdoor bar, grilling deck, wildlife observation deck, hot tub, and primitive fire ring. We offer two queen beds with private sitting areas and 2.5 bathrooms to meet the needs of our most discerning guests.

Just a brief walk down the gravel lane, The Stable at Pumpkin Ridge has been converted into a boutique space boasting 2 queen bedrooms with full sitting areas and 1 full bathroom complete with infrared sauna. On the main level, a vintage pool table flanks the open recreational space, with many nostalgic lawn and board games abound; including darts, croquet, and more. The center of the structure boasts a comfortable seating area with a large, mounted flat screen television. Conversation tables and vintage board game tables pepper the floor plan. Parking was easy. We did not use the fireplace as it was very warm during our visit. The cabins were both clean. The hot tub by the stable we did not use at all, however the hot tub attached to the main house we had to spend a day with the chemicals to get it balanced so that we could use it. The kitchen in the main house was wonderful- especially because we cooked every meal. My only comment would be that it would be nice if there were more than just the one baking sheet. However, I do realize that not everyone cooks on vacation like we did.

The cabin was super clean and well kept. It had everything we needed—plenty of utensils, cups, and plates—which made things really convenient. The fire pit was great to relax around, and the trail nearby was a cool bonus to explore. The hot tubs were also very clean and enjoyable. On top of that, the owner was amazing—super helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the stay. Definitely would come back!

The two spaces were perfect for our adult family of 8! The stable was great for playing games, pool table and watching basketball on the large tv while it rained. The Barn was great for our family meals and for those who wished to go to bed earlier. Much thought and care was put into the beautiful decor and making sure guests had everything they needed. Communication was great too!

The host was very responsive when I had trouble with the code to get into the lock box. I forgot to print out the information and I didn't have access to the internet. Beautiful place, loved both houses! We couldn't find the beach towels/hot tub towels for the hot tub. I was very excited to see this land was certified as a wildlife habitat! Loved listening to all of the birds! Great weekend and great get away for moms!

The property was just as described in the listing. We had three families and the two houses made it very comfortable for the entire group. We loved that there were two hot tubs. The barn was the perfect place to gather for meals and then a campfire after. The stable was perfect for entertaining. Between the pool table, balls, frisbees and board games, the three kiddos in the group were entertained, (as well as the adults). It made for the perfect location to access Old Man’s Cave and other cool hiking spots. The grounds made the perfect backdrop for my son to propose to his girlfriend. Wonderful memories!

Pumpkin Ridge is a beautiful property, very roomy and comfortable for our gathering family of 12. Having two dwellings was awesome and spacious. We enjoyed quiet relaxation, hiking trails , the hot tub and sitting around the fire. Also enjoyed nearby fishing at Lake Hope, Cedar Falls, Old Mans Cave, a visit to Muddy Boots Farm and the Rock House. Great location and within driving distance of activities. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again.

The venue was beautiful and both buildings were very comfortable for a family gathering. Access to Hocking Hills State Park was an easy drive, and there was plenty to do at the site itself. The space is very quiet and private, and the property is spacious with trails to explore. Having read reviews about the water at this property, I was concerned, but it wasn't an issue. We brought water to drink, but this wasn't essential. There was a faint smell of sulfur during some showers but nothing overpowering. I'd return here without hesitation.

This was our second annual trip with friends to pumpkin ridge. It’s so beautiful and the two lodgings are perfect for friends. Two hot tubs, pool table, games and more. Nature trail right on the property and lots of hiking nearby. Great communication with the property mgr when there was a small issue-was resolved quickly. Highly recommend!

The barn and stable both have all the convenience and comforts of home. Everything was tidy and clean. The beds were quite comfortable which I really appreciated because we wanted to decompress and relax in the hot tubs while the kids played in the yard and games indoors. Highly recommended space!

Beautiful escape in the ridges and hollows of SE Ohio. The two structures are unique and modern timber dwellings. We stayed in early spring when the foliage wasn't in yet. If you come in summer or fall you'll be on a high plateau surrounded by beech and sycamore trees. Secluded location where you can barely see the lights of the distant neighbors. Well-equipped kitchen and big decks with outdoor firepits and hottubs.

Overall loved the place, lots of outdoor space to enjoy (weather permitting), adequate beds for up to 4 adult couples, very young kids you have to bring accommodations. The property is 2 houses about 50-100 yards apart but a quick walk between spots. Second house (stable) has a minimal kitchen and small fridge but not a problem if you’re planning to do most cooking at the main house.Cell phone reception is spotty at the property, and Wi-Fi is slow (3 Mbps satellite) but it’s useable enough.Grocery store options are 1 small local in McArthur or drive 30 minutes to Kroger, so come prepared. Provided kitchen tools are adequate, appliances are good. Houses are a bit smaller than the photos look but we never felt cramped or limited by the space. Pool table, 2 hot tubs, chest of board games, ping pong, offer some chill gaming options. Second house (stable) could use some awnings or something for relaxing outside but this is a minor point.Only “major” issue we encountered was the main house hot water heater was off a few times. This is due to something on the electric circuit causing the breaker to trip. Property maintenance was quick to respond and guided us through accessing the breaker panel. Resetting the breaker immediately fixed the issue, so I wouldn’t hold this against the property. However the property owners should have this issue fixed for future visitors.

Beautiful property and cozy stay. The only thing I wish I knew in advance is that this has well water only. Luckily we also rented another cabin off site and that property had water treatment so we could shower. If you want to shower on site you will smell like eggs lol. Other than that check out the cool little nature walk located on the property.

We stayed in the barn and my daughter, son-I -law and 2 grandchildren stayed in the stable. We all went back and forth between the two places and my granddaughters could run over to our barn and have fun while my daughter and son-in-law got a break. Worked out beautifully!

Loved the property. Really beautiful and the two houses were fun. A couple comments. Upstairs shower floor in the barn is slippery. I put a towel down to help. Also the locks don't work on either door at the barn. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

The property and house were beautiful and clean and well stocked. BUT the water here smelled so bad, that my husband threw up from the water smell while taking a shower. And The 2 times I showered the family left the building due to the sewage smell…. I grew up with well water, and I’ll confirm it doesn’t smell like poop.
