Great place to stay

Had a great weekend stay at Paradise in the Woods! We have stayed here several times before and we will definitely be back!

This is a fantastic property, other than the last half mile. The road is rocky and steep but we had no trouble driving all-wheel drive vehicles. The loft wasn’t usable but we made do with the pullouts. Great well equipped kitchen made our Thanksgiving meal a breeze. I highly recommend this place!

The cabin was awesome. I would definitely stay there again. Such great views, plus the sound of the river. The host, Cheryl, was also a great communicator.

Very remote, gorgeous property. I love the swing on the porch and the views from the deck. The cabin was insanely clean- like spotless. My kids loved the video game machine and the outdoor playhouse. We enjoyed walking up to the river access as well. The only thing that all six of us hated was the staircase, but I did appreciate the baby gate that was around the bottom. The host was incredibly friendly and a super communicator.

Spiral stairs are narrow. Use caution at top. Beautiful location and great host. Perfect for a quiet escape with family.

Great location to get away from it all and reconnect with family/friends.

This was such a beautiful cabin and very beautiful and peaceful and secluded with the river flowing the gorgeous mountains views. We loved everything about it can’t wait to go back.

This property meet our needs for a long weekend. Beautiful views of the river

We went with friends and had kids all under the age of 8. We all enjoyed it and plan on making this a yearly visit. The views were amazing. The river was clean and kids loved playing in. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I would love to own this property one day!!!

If you're looking for privacy and serenity, this is the place to stay! The property is well maintained. The Buckhannon river is only a rocks throw away and the sound of the water was very calming. I am from West Virginia and know that area fairly well, but my Garmin GPS took me to this property with no issue.

Wow! That's what I think we all said upon arriving! It is exactly what what we were looking for, so serene and secluded. The home was exactly as advertised and very clean and comfortable. We decided to start a new Thanksgiving tradition and I believe teenagers and adults alike can't wait until next year to come back to your home! Everything was great. Just had a relaxing time and did some clay shooting. We did have a mouse issue but besides that great time

It was exactly what I was looking for. Remote, quiet, away from the hustle & bustle. We had the property to ourselves. No nearby neighbors. It was enjoyable waking up in the chilly mornings listening to the river below & looking out at the mountains above. Our pup loved swimming in the river & exploring the property. It is very remote. Far away from activities. Expect an hour drive or so. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would love to come back in the summer with the whole family.

Very off the grid with all of the amenities. The drive on Independence Drive is a little rugged, but worth it!

Peaceful, clean, and relaxing cabin with plenty of privacy. I would stay here again!
