Very well equipped cabin. Clean and tastefully decorated. Both the bed and sofa were comfortable. We rented two other cabins in this trip and while this was the most expensive, it was totally worth and was the nicest of the three .

The cabin is beautiful! The kitchen was wonderful for a small cabin and the sauna was amazing! It was an easy walk into town as well. The hosts and property manager communicated really well and called to follow up about the reservation as soon as I made it, as well as the day of check in. Thank you for a great stay!

We were thankful to be able to stay at the Hale Kolea Cabin. This is a very spacious cabin with large dining area, full kitchen (with many amenities), living room with TV, very comfortable Queen bed, full bathroom with beautiful walk in shower. It is a convenient location to downtown Talkeetna. The box of chocolate macadamia nuts and Hawaiian coffee were a welcomed surprise and blessing. It has a beautiful dressing area and dry sauna. The in-unit washer and dryer is convenient for a longer stay. The hosts were friendly, attentive and proactive with communication prior to our stay.

Just the best little place with everything you need. All the kitchen necessities, Netflix, paper towels, trash bags… it’s the little things. The sauna was a great plus. Our travel plans got messed up and they let us extend a night. Responded right away. I couldn’t of asked for more

Felt very comfortable and everything we needed (or wanted) was available! *Thank you for providing coffee!! :) She offered to be available if we needed anything. The property was close to everything but back off the beaten path to feel like a getaway. We enjoyed using the sauna to start our day. The house is big enough that we were able to use different areas to spread out & not be on top of each other. The full size appliances were a plus. Thank you for a wonderful visit! 3

A Hawaiian-themed and beautifully cared for comfort cabin down a wooded street very close to downtown Talkeetna. This cabin has it all - and then some. Cozy up to the gas fireplace or enjoy a hot sauna. Friendly off-site hosts make it easy to enjoy a restful, well-equipped and comfortable stay. Great shops & restaurants close by.

Love this property. I have stayed multiple times and each time has been perfect. Easily walkable to downtown Talkeetna. Sauna is amazing. Super clean and cozy.

The hosts were welcoming, the kitchen was super well stocked so we were able to cook and bake, it was warm and cozy inside despite the very chilly outdoor temps (well below zero). Also, great selection of games!

Lovely, quite location with all of the supplies one could need for a relaxing vacation. From the luxury kitchen to the perfectly placed night lights, sauna, and soft towels, each area had a vacation away feeling. The earth-friendly cleaning and soaps were an additional bonus. I had a wonderful stay at the Hale Kōlea cabin! It was the perfect weekend getaway. Everything at the property is perfectly thought out and it had every amenity I needed for the stay. Very clean and comfortable. The property is in a very quiet part of the town, but in easy walking distance to the heart of the excitement and history of downtown Talkeetna. It’s truly a “Best of both worlds” kind of situation! This was my second time staying at Hale Kōlea and the hosts are so welcoming and helpful! I can’t wait to stay there again!

Our stay at the Hale Kōlea Cabin was, without question, the most exquisite, charming, and memorable experience of our entire 10-day journey through Alaska. From the outset, communication with the cabin owners was prompt, courteous, and thorough — setting the tone for what proved to be an exceptional visit.The cabin itself offered an impeccable blend of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. Every modern amenity was thoughtfully provided, and the cozy, home-like atmosphere left us feeling both relaxed and thoroughly pampered.A particularly delightful surprise was the presence of inspiring artwork throughout the property, which added a uniquely personal and artistic touch to the space.We cannot recommend this cabin highly enough. Should our travels bring us back to Talkeetna, Hale Kōlea will undoubtedly be our first choice for accommodation — and we’ll be enthusiastically sharing this gem with all our friends.

The cabin is really nice, clean, easy check in, good WiFi and TV, and what really sets it a part is there are lots of little things that make it easier to “stay”. There are tissues, need some olive oil, its there, need information on local sites, places to eat… it’s there. Need a cup of coffee, it’s there… The cabin is close enough to the main town to walk, also if you’re taking a flight into Denali, the air strip is also within walking distance. They recommend K2 Aviation, and I would also recommend after our experience with them (you get a discount when you mention the cabin name). Great place !

We loved our 2 night stay at this beautifully decorated and lovely cabin. It had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and very comfortable bed. The location was near the town of Talkeetna. We didn’t get to use the sauna but sure it would have been nice. Overall, I would stay here again.

This well appointed studio just outside Talkeetna downtown was perfect! Comfortable bed, good wifi, clean kitchen and bath — and a friendly host and manager. Cozy and modern.

Cabin was just as described and very convenient to town. Would definitely stay here again.

This was one of our favorite VRBO’s that we’ve stayed in. It had all the amenities and more. Loved the sauna and all the extras. It was cozy, cute and close to all the action. Loved it!!

Stayed in Talkeetna for the weekend to enjoy winter. Everything is always great. Quiet, everything you need for two.

When we walk into this cabin, it's like coming home. This was our second time there and we were at home. People in the area are really friendly and just nice. The cabin is clean, it has everything you need and I love that they have a gas stove. It's so quiet and as writers, it gives us time to get away from a large city and write, read a book or just sleep!!

What a diamond in the rough!!! An unassuming cabin by the outside. Open the door and enter paradise!! Who needs to fly to Hawaii to get an island experience. This cabin far exceeded our expectations and literally made our weekend. From ease of check in to cleanliness, everything was so perfect. For being a studio cabin, the layout was amazing. The best part was the Finnish Sauna that was connected to the latrine area. The kitchen was amazing for cooking and just enjoying.100% will be back again!!

Very nice put together home. In town for work and had all the normal home furnishings and appliances. Well stocked and was able to easily cook my own meals.

This was the second anniversary my wife and I have spent at the cabin, at 8 years and again now at 15. Even though it had been 7 years, the place was more comfy and cozy than the first time. The hosts have thought of everything and run a smooth operation . We will be back!!

The cabin was everything advertised and more, very clean, all amenities needed. Such an amazing get away. We will be back!!!
