WE VISITED TO ENJOY MT. ELBERT AND CELEBRATE FAMILY BIRTHDAYS. THE CABIN IS INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE AND THE KITCHEN WELL EQUIPPED FOR FAMILY MEALS AND BIG BREAKFASTS. GREAT ACCESS TO FISHING, CLIMBING AND EVERYTHING OUTDOORS. IT IS OBVIOUS THE HOME IS WELL CARED FOR AND ENJOYED AGAIN AND AGAIN. REAL LUXURY IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS.
This property has incredible views of the lake and mountains. You can enjoy the splendor of nature from the amazingly well-setup patio/deck, the living room, dining area, the main floor bedroom, and even both bedrooms upstairs as they have their own small balconies with chairs. You cannot beat this view. The stars at night are incredible and every morning a star was settled at the peak of the mountains. We went mid-September and hit a beautiful week. We were able to rent SUP (paddleboards) from SUP and Cycle in the little town nearby, and got out on the water. The water was cold but tolerable and it was a lot of fun. I think we hit the very tail end of the season on that. There is also fun opportunities for gold panning at nearby cache creek. A short drive closer to the mountains are incredible trails and views. We drove about 10-15 mins from the house to the interlakin trailhead and walked for just a short hike with our kids, then turned around and headed home (avid hikers could take advantage of the full 9 mile trail). We didn’t go, but there are also boat tours out to the old 19th century interlakin hotel across the lake if you’d prefer not to walk to it. The bedroom on the main floor does not have an en-suite bathroom (you have to walk through the living room) and the 2 bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. The washer and dryer are located in the downstairs basement. We could have used more kitchen towels and bath towels. We’d definitely stay again! The view alone is worth it. They also have very nice board games like scrabble and chess which we enjoyed.
A stunning getaway! The perfect place to unwind with close friends. The view is incredible, and the cabin was absolutely beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, expansive retreat! The views are absolutely breathtaking. Every detail and amenity was well thought out for guests. I hope to be back again soon!
This Twin Lakes, Colorado cabin is phenomenal. We had a family reunion with 16 people and it worked out great. The activities were numerous – white water rafting, boating and fishing on the lake, hiking, ceramics and meals in Leadville, a historical boat tour across Twin Lakes, a waterslide day, a drive across Independence Pass to Aspen, etc. It’s a great location for 4-wheeling as well. The cabin itself is situated with an unforgettable view across Twin Lakes and the mountains. We also were there in the fall when the Aspen trees were in their bright yellow, orange, and red glory. That’s a ‘must see’!! The cabin itself is thoroughly comfortable. Every detail has been thought out to the ‘nth’ degree. I can’t recommend this cabin enough. LOVE it!!
