The house was amazing. Beautiful views and within walking distance to everything in Twin Lakes. Bert and Diane were wonderful hosts and did everything they could to accommodate us.
My week-long stay in this property was the best rental home experience I've ever had. The house itself is stunning, with more than plenty of space and in a location center to dozens of different outdoor adventure opportunities. Even better than the house itself is the owner/host, Bert. My check-in date was originally in November, however someone in my party was unable to attend due to a sudden death in the family. Bert was more than understanding, allowing me to unfortunately cancel our reservation a day before the scheduled check in date. After this, he gave my party and I priority on rescheduling our stay at the same property, as well as a more than minor discount on this rescheduled stay. Additionally, Bert and I were in constant communication throughout this entire ordeal and during my stay. He provided many recommendations on things like restaurants and hikes, all of which were great recommendations. I truly could not recommend staying at this property or even just at one of Bert's properties with more conviction. Any future stay in the state of Colorado for my party or myself with be with Bert.
We just wanted to get away for the weekend near trails and water. This was perfect.
We loved the views of Twin Lakes and sat often in the sunroom watching the sunrise and sunset!
Staying in this property felt like staying in a postcard. With glass windows and views of picturesque mountains, we truly felt spoiled. The property was private but not isolated, and we felt very safe throughout the stay. What was most incredible, however, was the attention to detail. There was a fully equipped kitchen, living rooms with games, snowshoes, a record player, and so much more. Further, the hosts were beyond helpful and were always available to answer any questions or give recommendations. Overall, this property made our stay, and we could not be more thankful.
Headed up to Twin Lakes for some ice fishing and a nice weekend getaway. Our hosts were amazing from the very start. Easy check in, and super cozy cabin greeted us from the start. Cabin views were beautiful and floor plan was very spacious. Enjoyed a delicious dinner right down the street. We had a wonderful weekend at Twin Lakes.
We had a wonderful vacation in Twin Lakes at Alpine Haven. The cabin is gorgeous and has everything that you need. Diane & Bert are super host, they provided clear instructions and a lot of information about places and activities that you can do during your stay at the cabin. I highly recommended this Alpine Haven for an unforgettable vacation. We are excited to come back.
We had a wonderful stay in the historic district of Twin Lakes with fabulous views of the autumn colors in Colorado during our recent leaf peeping road trip. The home is very comfortable with huge windows, lots of space and a great location.
This home and trip very much exceeded our expectations! Would give 6 stars if I could!! Twin Lakes is in an incredibly beautiful & amazing part of Colorado, and the stay at this historic cabin right in the heart of town and heart of it all could not have matched the serenity, peacefulness and Colorado magic in the area anymore. Owners were outlandishly accommodating before, during and after our trip, providing a wealth of knowledge of the area, extreme levels of hospitality, and plenty of recommendations for the area. They provide this home with everything you could ever want from a vacation rental, we were not missing anything during our stay! The beds were extremely comfortable with tons of pillows (!!!!), kitchen stocked to the max w/ supplies, and we'll just let you experience the breathtaking views of the mountains from the upstairs sunroom and every window you look out of at the cabin when you get there yourself! 15/10 would recommend this home, and will certainly be eyeing it during my next trip to the area!
First sight of this beautiful historic home is awe inspiring on it's own, with the mirrored windows, and the surrounding log buildings across from the Twin Lakes themselves. But that is nothing compared to the decorations that adorn the inside of the home! It immediately made us feel welcome and warm. The living room is a comfortable place to sit and relax, while the kitchen is equipped with updated appliances and anything you might need for meal prep. The beds are comfortable, and the views from any of the bedroom windows at sunrise or sunset are sure to cause a photo taking frenzy! There is a huge sundeck off of the master bedroom and a front porch that will both provide plenty of opportunity to just sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains. It's just an hour from Aspen, and whether you stay in Twin Lakes and enjoy the multiple opportunities for hiking, canoeing or wandering through the little shops owned and run by the locals you're guaranteed to have a stay that will provide memories to cherish.
This place was great, exactly as advertised. Comfortable, clean, quirky, and close to all sorts of great recreation opportunities. The kitchen is really nice and the place was stocked with everything you need for a vacation stay. The hosts were super nice and responsive and provided several great recommendations.
Beautiful views from the many windows on the home. Lots of sitting areas. Walking distance to trails and town. Very close to the lakes for fishing. Wonderful breeze through the windows.
The house was perfectly located in Twin Lakes across from the Visitors Center, the house was comfortable and the kitchen was great. Definitely appreciate the thoughtfulness of the host.
Had an amazing stay at this charming home in Twin Lakes. The house is lovely, with beautiful views toward the mountains. The beds were amazingly comfortable - even the pillows! The kitchen was kitted out with everything you could need, and if you are not up for cooking, there are several dining options just steps away. The house sits in a great location, with beautiful drives to Leadville, Aspen or Buena Vista. Communication before and during the stay was great, both from the owners and the property management. One of my favorite homes we have travelled to.
This house is absolutely stunning! We spent most of our time in the upper sunroom taking in the majestic views! The kayaks were a great add as the lakes are within walking distance! As for food there is a little saloon just a block east with great options and a full bar, then there's a food truck and cafe that's just on the main street. Buena Vista and Leadville are only ~20 minutes away too if needed.
We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful and Twin Lakes are right across the street. The home sits at the base of Independence Pass so the views are amazing. The wine and cookies left by the hosts were a nice surprise. We will definitely go back.
Everything about this property was amazing. Beautiful decor and very welcoming vibe. The hosts were very knowledgeable and quick to respond. We plan to make this home an annual vacation spot. It is central to all things outdoors.
The location is easy to find and park. Inside, this place is stunning. The decor is beautiful and keeps a sheik mountain home feel throughout. The furniture is comfortable, including the bed (especially the master with an amazing view from the attached sunroom). Great place for morning yoga, coffee, or both. Bathrooms are well equipped with great products and beautifully designed. The place has great outdoor access and tons of wildlife. This is a must stay for a comfy mountain stay. Looking forward to my next trip.
