We had such an amazing time. The house was absolutely perfect nestled into the woods and not far from anything we might need. A perfect place to watch the colors change and take it all in. We even saw a heard of elk from the balcony. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.
Home was beautiful, clean and well stocked! We were able to fit our pontoon boat in the driveway! Great location. Quiet, but still close to the lakes! We will definitely be back! :-) Thank you for the memories!
Fantasist stay!
We had great communication with Holly regarding our upcoming visit. The place was clean and included all of the kitchen necessities, instructions, and more. We enjoyed sitting on the deck outside the master bedroom in the morning to enjoy our coffee and sunshine. The back deck was great at night for grilling and enjoying the outdoors. The basement was great for the kids to hang out and sleep. We really liked being close to the lake! My mom and dad forgot their coats and we didn't notice until we got home. Holly mailed them their coats right away, and my mom reimbursed her for the cost and her troubles. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice home, quiet setting and close access to the Twin Lakes.
Nice secluded cabin, minutes away from Twin Lakes. I would recommend paying $3 at the Visitor Center, which is 5 minutes away, to throw away your trash versus making the drive into Leadville. I highly recommend this place and I would stay here again.
I had high hopes for this property and it was better than I could have wished. The views alone are amazing. There's plenty of space for everyone. Location is close to all sorts of hikes.
This is by far the best stay I have ever had in Colorado. The home is secluded yet easy to get to and from. The 270 degree Mountain views are breath taking. The pictures do not give you the majestic feel you get when you see it in person. Especially inside looking out. I would definitely return and stay here anytime. I highly recommend this VRBO and the Twin Lakes area.
Excellent location to enjoy Leadville and Twin Lakes
Beautiful home; beautiful property with every amenity. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a great vacation!
The pictures don’t do justice for this cabin and the cabin itself is much better. Very new, organized and homy cabin. We will comd back again.
This house was perfect for a family getaway. Twin Lakes is one of our favorite places to visit and this house had everything we needed for a week of adventures. It was very clean and comfortable. The views were excellent.
We loved our stay at this secluded property. Every room has a view and we had everything we needed to get away from it all. Plenty of room, clean, well stocked, and clear instructions and communication with the owner.
The house was large and comfortable, and it had everything that we needed for our stay. It is definitely best suited for an unplugged vacation, with no large communal TVs or Wifi--perfect for what we were looking for. It is up a hill, on a dirt road with a spectacular view of the mountains. There is a large lake just down the hill for fishing. It is about 25-30 minute drive to either of the nearby towns, so a bit of a commute to get groceries (or, really, to get anywhere besides the Mt. Elbert trailhead which is very close by). The host Holly was incredibly communicative and helpful. The house is impeccably clean, but did have a bit of an ant problem in the upper levels.
Overall, this property was great! It was genuinely secluded, unlike other properties I've stayed at that gave off the impression of seclusion in their listings but failed to deliver it in reality. Like other reviews have suggested, the views really are stunning from everywhere in the house. We will be looking to come back when we revisit the area in our quest to conquer all Class 1 and Class 2 14ers, perhaps even next summer! Really, there are only two negatives we noted. First, you will have to dispose of your own trash, which seemingly requires, at minimum, a 7-mile excursion (one-way). So far as I recall, this wasn't listed anywhere in the property listing or in the fine details before I agreed to pay the listed price. Not a huge deal, but it should be noted somewhere in the initial agreement. Second, the house is nestled right alongside a hill/mountainside with actively falling rocks and debris (during storms) on one side and sits alongside what is essentially a cliff on the other. On the one hand, this feature really does help deliver the sense that you are in the mountains, as you quite literally are, but I think the somewhat-precarious setting of the property might be a bit unnerving to some. These really are the only two negatives we could think of (three guys in our early forties). Windows are top-notch, decks are amazing, clean floors and furniture, amenities are appreciated, etc. etc. Thank you for a fantastic stay!!!
