This cabin is cute, clean and very relaxing. We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and listening to the little stream. This was exactly what we need to get away from the busy city life.
The cabin is nestled in the trees with a creek running beside it. It is a beautiful drive to get to it. The cabin is welcoming and perfect for a getaway. It is close to several small towns that are a must to visit.
Great Stay!
Really beautiful creekside location at over 9000 feet. Lots to take in. It’s cool and crisp at night even in July. The drive up from Idaho springs is breathtaking but also a wee bit scary if you’re not accustomed to steep grade, gravel road, no guardrails. We did fine but it’s a thing. The home has all you need - cozy and clean, as pictured. Host is very responsive if anything isn’t up to speed.
My husband and I booked the cabin for a weekend getaway and loved the space. The location and drive is beautiful! Definitely would recommend!
This property was exactly the vibe my partner and I were looking for on our Valentine's weekend vacation. We did not expect the fridge to be fully stocked and the eggs were much appreciated one of the mornings. Its perfectly situated between the civilization and wilderness. All of the amenities worked well (especially the Jacuzzi). Do not hesitate to book your stay here I know we will again.
Great trip. We both loved it.
My husband and I only came for two days but the stay was perfect! We had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay!
This place was the perfect cosy sanctuary. All the instructions we received were clear, everything worked and really appreciated the owners speedy replies when texted before the trip started. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing stay. Was the perfect getaway for my Wife’s Birthday. Perfect space for 2 people. Was warm and welcoming. We didn’t want to leave!!! We fully intend to come back.
This was a great cabin with amazing scenery! This was just what we needed for a little get away! This cabin is tucked into the mountains making it feel secluded while just a few minutes rom Idaho Springs!
Nice and cozy cabin high in the mtns. Clean. Altitude was 9000+ft. Drive to town is scenic and thrilling. Hosts were responsive and thoughtful.
This is the perfect secluded cabin if you are looking to unplug and slow life down for a few days. Don’t want to see other humans? Perfect. Hot tub is amazing. The trip to the cabin is not for the faint of heart, when they say you need 4x4 they mean it. But it is a beautiful trip, just take it slow. We recommend visiting Miner St in Idaho Springs for the tourist experience. Brunch at Main Street, everything at Mtn Prime. The breweries are great. The only frustration we encountered was trying to figure out parking on Miner St. We evidently did not figure it out because we ended up with a hefty fine. We can’t wait to return to this little gem in the mountains!
The place was great. The views to and from the cabin were amazing. The hot tub was great and private. The grill worked well. The place was well stocked with everything we needed. The stove was broke when we stayed. But they had a dual hot plate that worked fine for us.
A 4-wheel drive vehicle is HIGHLY recommended. This is the perfect getaway for anyone really wanting to enjoy the oasis of a remote Mountain cabin. The only complaint is that the ride service information was outdated. A quick Google search fixed that though. Would return to this property in a heartbeat!
The website description and photos were deceiving. There was no table with chairs to eat the meals. There was only 1 sofa and it was filthy with stains and the blankets and couch pillows were disgusting. The convection stove did not work. In its place they put a warming plate with 2 options to make a meal. We weren’t able to cook meals properly. The mice infestation was horrible. We woke up to open packages of food and had to throw it out. Every drawer we opened were full of mouse droppings. This place was is in desperate need for a “DEEP CLEAN” . The site asks to respect the homes as they are the owners home. I would be ashamed to offer someone to stay at my home if it is the way they live. Definitely not worth the amount we paid for the 4 nights.
We had such a lovely time at this very secluded cabin. The property was very clean and well maintained. It was exactly what we needed to recharge.
We really loved staying up in the mountains. The place was amazing. We spent our time hiking local trails and relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely recommend!
If you are looking for a place to stay that is off the beaten path then look no further. The dirt road is well paved and winds up the mountain for several miles. The directions from the Property owner were spot on. BE sure to follow them. Once you get to the cabin you have a few neighbors, but that is it. The place is charming and comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, spices and all. It is apparent that the prior guests leave behind things they could not consume or take with them (BEER, Coffee, popcorn, food, etc). We left behind some goodies for the next arrivals too. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the town of Idaho Springs. We would come back and rent here again.
My wife and I stayed here for a few days while visiting Colorado. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! We really enjoyed everything about this Cabin especially being in a hot tub while it was snowing. Pure magic!
Amazing property, great Mountain View. We really enjoyed our stay
My husband and I stayed in this cute cabin to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin is wonderful, very clean, equipped with everything you would need. The hot tub was great and enjoyed the firepit at night when it got cooler. The drive to get to cabin was a little tricky but not bad after we got used to it. Location is great, close to town. Thank you for the great memories!
I highly recommend this Vrbo for anyone wanting a quiet stay with beautiful scenery in Colorado. Kathy's friendly communication and attention to detail made our stay a wonderful experience. The renovations she made are beautiful and the history and her memories at her family cabin made our stay even more special. The kitchen was set up for cooking breakfast every morning to eat outside on the beautiful deck. Grilling out for dinner and then relaxing in the hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The small stream that runs through the property will lull you to sleep at night! The views driving to the cabin are absolutely breathtaking. Idaho Springs is just a 15-minute drive away, we took longer the first day to stop at each turn to take pictures! The town has wonderful restaurants and shops and easy access to the I70 E/W ramps. When we visit Colorado again, you can be sure we will try to book this cabin!
We loved the quiet of the woods and the beauty seen from all the windows. The hot tub was amazing as it snowed several inches at the end of may. The house was abundantly stocked with everything we could have needed. It was cozy and very comfortable. We would happily stay here again!
