Charming 1-bedroom cabin with AC in peaceful Hot Springs with river view

We absolutely loved staying at The Rose. It was clean, warm (a Spring Break snow came down, and the fireplace was especially nice), and just perfect. We especially loved the hot tub (with a gorgeous view of the stars on a clear night - 10/10). Michelle was an especially gracious host, and her hospitality is unmatched. I will definitely book with her again, and encourage anyone else to, as well.

Excellent stay

Excellent location. Close to town yet felt very private. We had a very lovely stay! The one suggestion would be to update the mattress as it was obvious it was very well loved. Other than that, absolutely no complaints!

Gorgeous property. Log cabin had plenty of space, cozy, beautiful huge front yard with a GIANT fire pit (bring lots of firewood!). If you have dogs, bring a leash no longer than 25 feet or your dog will be trespassing on the adjacent properties, neighbors will complain.Do NOT follow googles gps directions, they will dead end at a cow farm with a river between you and the actual cabin! Lol FOLLOW MARY'S DIRECTIONS!! Have fun!

Great cabin, good property and location. We had a great time. The one and only suggestion would be that the bed could definitely use an upgrade. It was smaller and a good bit harder than we are used to. Other than the bed everything was great.

Great cabin need better pillows

The cabin itself was nice. The bed was hard and the sheets, pillows, linen, etc. need to be updated. The location of the cabin to the river was a little deceiving in the pictures as well. We really wanted to go fishing but there was absolutely no access to the water. We did have a great time though, just to get away from civilization. The hot tub was nice.

Property was exactly as advertised!!. I very much appreciated the amenities like the heating option in the bathroom as well as a grill and fireplace for use. I do feel it’s important to provide some feedback as these things would deter us from wanting to book again- the bed provided was very uncomfortable and we don’t think it was a queen size as advertised. I feel having a restful nights sleep would have been very helpful in relaxation. Additionally, I’m not sure if the lighting or electric was off but the outdoor lighting for the porch area/hot tub was very minimal- two of the light fixtures did not work. We feel we would have spent more time on the porch and outside at night if there was better lighting. Other than those two issues- our stay was wonderful and we’d love to book again if those two things were remedied.

We were looking for a peaceful place to get away too. To reconnect and enjoy some alone time. We got it.

So relaxing! The area is super quiet and you have such a great view! House was great but the front porch was our hangout! Hot tub was perfect! Our dog loved it too!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was neat, clean, and private. The living space, bedroom, and bathroom were well appointed. There were only a few minor things that kept us from giving this a 5-star review. The lattice on the front porch had holes and was damaged. The couch could have used an ottoman, although this is just a personal preference. Also, a couple of the rods to adjust the blinds did not work (in the bedroom and over the dining table). These did not take away from our enjoyable stay.

The cabin was adorable and I loved the decor and the air conditioning is definitely cold. It was very quiet and secluded. We had a wonderful trip. My only suggestions are more rollsvof toilet paper. Paper towels and hand towels for the kitchen. We did have to buy some bit otherwise we had a great time! Thank you!

I had a good time the only fault i can give is the bed was not comfortable. Otherwise everything was great.

The cabin and property were amazing. The area has seen devastating effects from Helene but the community is rebuilding. Visit the Hot Springs and take a dip in the tubs.

The cabin was nice, very quiet and private. We enjoyed the hot tub most of all. Also glad they allowed us to bring our dog. I agree with the host— get your main groceries before you come into Hot Springs. Downsides: I read a few previous reviews that the bed is very uncomfortable. This is true…. My husband & I resorted to the couch and recliner for the weekend. For some reason there were tiny gnats swarming the lamp.. they were very annoying. Each dish we used needed to be washed prior to using (the knife block was pretty dusty).

The cabin is as described, secluded with mountains behind, a large lawn, and the river opposite, across the road. The interior is comfortable and everything works. There are some great hikes in the vicinity; Lover’s Leap and Max Patch are highly recommended. And good that it is pet friendly. Contrary to some reviews, I found the bed and mattress firm and comfortable, although the metal mesh supporting the mattress is noisy if you move about. The kitchen is potentially well equipped but needs a refresh - the cabin is down to its last glass, plus a collection of plastic beakers, and the supplies in the cupboard are seriously old. Indeed the olive oil smelled peculiar and was “best use before 2008” - sixteen years ago! Why sixteen years of guests haven’t done what I did and chuck it away, I don’t understand. Some fresh herbs and oils and salt and pepper, and some new glasses, would be good. But these are small points - for some rural R&R and either a lazy time or some active mountain hiking, this is a great place to stay.

The cabin and hot tub were both very clean. The property was well-maintained, well-located, and had every amenity we needed for an enjoyable weekend getaway. Definitely would recommend!

Really great experience and ended white water rafting level three for first time ever white water rafting. Enjoyed the views and being away from everything as it was a much needed break. Thank you!

My husband and I had a great stay in this sweet little cabin. A perfect place to unplug and relax.This will definitely be a repeat on our list of mini vaycays. Everything was perfect minus the communication as I reached out twice and got no response. We would definitely stay here again.
