Cabin located on private homestead, with fun activities and beautiful views

The listing was absolutely spotless and extremely clean when we arrived, the host was very welcoming and provided very good directions to get to the property and checked in. The property was very quiet and had a very beautiful surrounding. Definitely recommended for families or just getting away for the weekend.

This was a fantastic find for our family and guests for a last minute stay! The accommodations were fantastic - well supplied, clean, very comfortable, simple but with tons of amenities (including full fridge and freezer, coffee maker, gas range with standard size oven, microwave, pots & pans, coffee maker (combination pot and keurig), dishes, cutting board, knives in kitchen. Spacious bathroom had fluffy towels, extra shampoo etc in case you forget yours, blow dryer, etc. Also had large arctic entry for all your winter gear! All areas were super warm and cozy. Property was quiet and away from lights so we were able to enjoy a beautiful aurora display. In all, it was a perfect evening. Wish we had more time! This spot is on our re-book list if we need a place near Talkeetna in the future!

This was a great spot to be off the beaten path, and a good place to chill after hiking and fishing. It is in a nice rural setting but still fairly close to amenities. Having coffee available for us was nice. There are just some basic cooking supplies, but we didn’t plan on cooking much anyway. Host was super responsive, and she had great communication with us before and during our stay!

The cabin is clean and nicely decorated on the inside, but lacks a microwave and hair dryer. I should have read the listing more carefully for those details. We were under the assumption that this was a detached, private cabin on the property, so we were also a bit disappointed when we realized that there was a friend/family member staying in another portion of the cabin that was attached to ours by a very thin, shared wall. We didn’t realize anyone was over there until he sneezed and it sounds like he was in the room with us! The property is under a lot of construction, so there was quite a bit of foot and vehicle traffic driving past the cabin because it’s the first building as you come in the driveway. When construction is completed at multiple other cabin sites, it seems like it will be a beautiful property with multiple rentals available.
