Brother Bear Lodge at Talkeetna

Clean, convenient, quiet, walkable

Very spacious with a neat spiral staircase leading to a loft bedroom. We liked that it was within walking distance of downtown Talkeetna. It also has a nice shower! I would recommend this property for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and close proximity to town. It’s a very nice property.

The house (formerly a garage) is spacious and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. It is so very quiet. There are several ill-conceived designs. First and foremost is the location of the single bathroom on the second floor. One bedroom is on the first floor; the other bedroom is a loft on the 3rd floor which is accessed via a winding metal stairway. So you either have to climb up stairs or climb down the winding metal stairs to reach the bathroom, which can be treacherous and aggravating if you need to “go” once or twice during the night.The loft also has no room for nightstands, so there is no place for your glasses, book, glass of water, etc. The bathroom is very roomy with a nice shower. I would not recommend this property for anyone who has issues with walking or climbing stairs.

This cabin was the only thing good from our vacation! Thank god it was exactly what I expected! The host was very quick to return my messages, the cabin was absolutely gorgeous!! Would definitely recommend it!!

Very comfortable and quiet

The house was clean and decorated in keeping with the area. The layout of this renovated garage is quirky and it would have been nice to have had a television on the main floor. The coffeemaker definitely needs to be replaced. The pot was cracked and the side to make a pod was so slow with a tiny water reservoir. The upstairs loft bedroom needs small side tables or a floating shelf to sit items on.

Great place with nice finishes. Just a short walk to down town. Clean and well stocked with all the right things for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay. I we travelled to Denali Park which was a beautiful drive. We did have some incidentals but the manager handled quickly for us. Would reccomend this property. Downtown was very close also with great restaurant choices.

Perfect cabin located within walking distance from the cute little town of Talkeetna. We had a little further drive to the Denali National Park, but it was definitely worth staying here. The cabin was perfect for our group of four and had all the amenities that you need. It was very clean and decorated appropriately for the area. Definitely recommend staying here.

The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely recommend it to others.

We stayed here with our infant and another couple for my sister’s wedding. The house was perfect for our needs and the caretaker was very helpful and welcoming. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked (though admittedly we didn’t do any cooking), and the location was great. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property! Clean and modern with an Alaskan style. Very close to town. Fully furnished with everything you would need. I would book again.
