A Cabin in the Clouds: Peaceful Mountain Retreat w/ Hot Tub & Spectacular Views!

Perfect, beautiful, spotless, spacious home for me and my siblings for three nights when we attended my son's wedding. Despite frigid temperatures, the home was welcoming and warm. The humidifiers in each bedroom were essential extras in the dry mountain air. Large herds of elk were nearby, and we even saw some wild turkeys. It was wonderful to message the host directly rather than a property manager. Bedding and towels were luxurious. Wonderful stay!

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and every space felt thoughtfully designed to help guests relax and enjoy the surroundings.What truly sets this property apart is the experience. Whether enjoying coffee while watching the sunrise, relaxing in the evenings with the stunning mountain views, or simply spending time with family in such a beautiful setting, every moment felt special.The hosts have created something truly exceptional. We travel frequently and can honestly say this was one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Clean and beautiful.

We recently stayed at this property and overall had a pleasant visit. The home has several standout features, including beautiful views, frequent wildlife sightings, a spacious open floor plan, a well-equipped game room, a theater room, and a relaxing hot tub. These amenities made for an enjoyable stay and the property has a lot of potential as a premium vacation rental.That said, we were disappointed by several maintenance and cleanliness issues that felt out of place for a property advertised as a luxury rental. We found several maintenance and cleanliness issues that did not meet that standard, including dirty and rusty kitchen knives, a dirty cutting board, an electrical outlet hanging out of the wall, a broken shower caddy left on the shower floor, and worn, damaged deck chairs. None of these issues individually were major, but collectively they detracted from the experience.Communication was another area where improvements could be made. Questions were not answered until the following day, and we received no notice that a decorator and the owner would be visiting the property during our stay. Their vehicles occupied much of the narrow driveway while we were trying to leave, creating confusion and making it difficult to get our vehicles out.While we enjoyed the property, the condition, communication, and unannounced visit fell short of the expectations set by the listing and price point.

What perfect spot for hiking all around Golden! Everything at the house was just right for us-

It truly lived up to its name of a cabin the clouds. Wow what a view. My kids also enjoyed the daily wildlife sightings !!!

Hosts were nice, place was very clean and fun. Pingpong table and games were a nice touch. No complaints from my family and I!

The most gorgeous views! We were celebrating our son’s 30 birthday and it was the perfect place. My daughter lives in Denver (we drove in from OKC) and we wanted to go to Blackhawk to the Casino, so worked out perfectly. The house was very clean and had anything you need. Nate was very helpful with whatever needed. If you are handicapped or have a hard time with stairs might not be the place for you, but was perfect for us.

My daughter called this the dream house. Honestly, I think I could have just stayed there and never left! There were large bucks that enjoyed laying in the side yard in the evenings, and we actually woke up to a morning where the clouds were below us, so it truly was a cabin the clouds. Definitely our favorite Vrbo experience so far.

Had everything we needed for a beautiful stay. Nice and close to Red Rocks. We heard Elk bugling our whole stay and even saw a few mule deer.

Quiet, peaceful, and only 15 minutes from the hustle bustle. The views and wind in the trees feel much further from the city.

We loved this home. I would live here if I could! It's easy to get to, granted we were there in October with no snow. It was clean at arrival, Nate was very informative and checked on us while on our stay, but we didn't need anything because it was great! Beds were comfy, view is amazing, its quiet, you're close enough to town for things, but when you're at the house you seem so far away, which I loved. We ate in and toured Golden and Lookout Moutain, I highly suggest those things! Anyways, if we make the trek back up there, I would absolutely stay here again! Oh, and super easy checkout too, always a plus!
