Had an excellent stay. The host was friendly and the accommodation was clean and well set up.

Clean, quiet and cosy, country feel. Easy convenient parking. Compact but fine for our 2 night stay.

John is an hospitable host. The 2-room apartment met the needs of myself and my adult son.Ballan is an historic town in close proximity to other places of interest in the Region.

Great place to relax after the hustle and bustle of the city or travelling about the beautiful district.You can start your day with a stroll through the extensive river reserve directly behind the house. Only a few minutes walk to the centre of town.

The studio is nicely set-up, welcoming and bright. Lovely surroundings with the farm and chicken. Quiet location and only a quick walk to Ballan's main street. John was very good to deal with. Would recommend for a weekender and we'll certainly be back again.

We had a very short 1-night stay (3 of us) but enjoyed the cleanliness inside and cute animals outside. The unit is on the small side, so it may not be suitable for a larger family - but if you have two kids in the bedroom and parents in the queen bed in the lounge room - it can work well for you! Recommended for a good rest and clean stay.

My wife and I stayed in this Ballan Vic accom in late Feb 25.It was very convenient, just a few blocks back from the town's main street.John the owner, was excellent in his communication initially and made our stay comfortable with some small but nice touches,here and there in the unit.Would stay again without any problem.

This was a quintessential homestay - the space is part of an existing house, private entrance, on the edge of town with chicken coop out the door and Maggie the Shetland pony in the paddock next to that. Incredibly peaceful,clean, and comfortable, with excellent communication by John.comfirtable

We just had a overnight stay. It is a beautiful and quiet place, plus excellent location, easy to access all the shops and resturants at the town center. The owner is very friendly and helpful, hightly recommended.

Great location as it is very center located within 30 minutes to Ballarat and Bacchus Marsh. 1 hour away to Melbourne. The highlight would be spending time walking Maggie and holding the chickens. I personally inspired by lush vegie patch and John's attentiveness as a host. Property is very welcoming and cozy. Thank you John (and Maggie) for having us.

Felt safe, relaxed and rested

Exactly as it appeared on line. Checkin was very easy Excellent communication and directions from John. Very comfy bed, great coffee provided and it was so quiet. We both had the best sleep ? Welcoming note and biscuits. Very private. Perfect place for us as it’s approx 1 hour from the airport

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The property is really well maintained inside and out, and had everything we needed for our time there. The bed was comfortable with nice sheets and towels, and there were books to read and games to play when inside. Outside was a huge hit with our son who loved the chickens, the horse and the bush setting to explore and discover. The birds singing were also nice to listen to while in the garden. Thanks for hosting us John, we enjoyed the space and would love to return when up your way again.

Great place to stay if needing accommodation near Ballarat. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed warm and comfy. Very private with easy check in & designated guest parking spot. John is very courteous and pleasant. Highly recommended.

A lovely cottage/unit in a quiet peaceful setting. Perfect for what we wanted. A great little garden area for our toddler grandson to play in .....and chooks
