My husband and I stayed a night while visiting our daughter (who attends JMU). Clean, close to everything, perfect! They even provide S’Mores ingredients for the fire pit! Highly recommend!!
Nice place. Quiet and relaxing.
We had a great stay at this property. I think it is actually closer to JMU than what it says in the listing. We got there in less than 10 minutes consistently. Even though it is close to campus it is situated in an idyllic, rural setting. Three times I walked out to find deer in the yard! The owner was very responsive and communication was great. We plan to stay here again next time we visit.
Everything was super clean. It was quiet, we enjoyed sitting out at the fire pit, saw a deer at the edge of the woods.
Good-spotlessly clean. Nice country setting but close to town. Bad- Strange choice of furniture. Big lamps on small tables such that there was little space to put your coffee cup in the living room or anything on bedside table. The bedroom was about 9x9 feet and had a California king bed. Difficult to get to far side of bed. Because the bed took up so much room the closet doors were removed and a dresser was placed inside and the rod removed. No place to hand up your clothes. The bathroom vanity was also very small which required us to place our toiletries on top of the chest in the closet in the bedrooms. Big problems? No. Irritants? Yes. Ugly- We had our dogs with us so we paid additional cleaning fees. The welcome book threatened an ridiculous additional fee if we didn't empty all trash cans before we left. I don't know why this bothered me so much, but it did. Would I stay there again? Probably.
You’ll feel like you’re in the country but it’s just a few minutes by car from all the great spots around Harrisonburg. Very comfortable and the right size for a couple.
This ended up being the perfect place to stay as I was teaching a class at Eastern Mennonite University for a week. It was barely a mile from campus but in a bucolic rural setting. While I was here I had the entire property to myself but I don't think they would've been any problem has it been anyone staying in the house as it was plenty of parking and they are 50 or 60 feet apart. There were no instructions for the mini split heating system so I needed to get help from the property manager and to look it up using the remote on YouTube. There is no closet space and no hangers, but there is an iron and a small ironing board so that was not an issue for me. I would definitely stay there again.
This listing has everything I needed. The bedroom has a nice big and comfortable bed. Kitchen is equipped with all the necessities to cook a nice meal. Living area has a nice couch you can relax on and watch tv after a day of roaming around town. A lot of thought was put into decorating the flat and the landscaping/surrounding areas. Checking in and out was a breeze.
My wife and I stayed here to go antiquing in the area for the weekend. It was close enough to town to be convenient, but secluded enough to be quiet. Very nice place to stay!
Just the basics and that was enough for me. Thank you.
The place was spotless. The management response time to questions was prompt and courteous. The location was 5 minutes from campus but off the beaten path, which gave us a chance to unwind after a long day of events. I would stay here again.
On the outskirts of Harrisonburg, this garage converted into a tiny home was perfect for our trip to enjoy the Shenandoah Valley. The college town was very quiet during our summer stay. The home had a binder with locations for recommended local eats (Mr. J's bagels were wonderful!) and pertinent information (wifi, things to know about the tiny home, etc) that made our stay very easy. Visited Luray Caverns (~35-40 mins away) among several other caverns in the area. Family Dollar and grocery stores in town (~5 mins) to pick up any needs for the trip. Very comfy King size bed. The place is small, but perfect for a couple looking for a place to rest their head at night. Very clean and well kept. Would stay here again.
We stayed there for a long weekend and was very impressed. Easy to get in and out of the property, and very good location outside of downtown Harrisonburg.
Very clean overall, fresh towels, new carpet, lovely scented shampoo/body wash. Rental is either brand new or owners very conscientious about keeping things from looking run down. Would certainly return.
