The Cozy Suite - Walking Distance to Downtown Harrisonburg and JMU

Easy to find location and easy check in. There are wooden stairs down to get into the property but it was well lit at night. The place was clean, the sheets were soft and we had plenty towels. The shower is a little small (think rv size) but there was plenty of hot water and plenty space to move around in the rest of the place. The host was very friendly and I felt safe in the house/neighborhood. I even walked to the farmers market from the house as it was very close. I would recommend this place and I would stay here again.

The place was clean - could hear tenants above when they walked around especially when they got ready for work at 5:30am. Not sure over a mile (38 min) is walking distance to JMU and is not close to downtown restaurants or shopping. It is close to fast food. At the current price would never stay there again. Would pay the extra 30-50 per night for a hotel with breakfast included.

We enjoyed our stay. You can tell the owners were very thoughtful of so many things like extra pillows, blankets, pods for the Keurig, half and half in the fridge, etc. There are two things. I would say: one, if you can’t do stairs, you can’t stay here. Two, the queen bed is very noisy, maybe due to the frame. Otherwise, it was fantastic for us.. We were in and out all weekend, so we didn’t need anything more than we had. Thank you.

My friend were on a birthday vacation, both in August. We were looking for a place to stay while checking out Harrisonburg. The Cozy Suite was a nice place for us to stay. It was clean and in a safe neighborhood, which was important for 2 women. The owners were quick to reply anytime we reached out to them. We would stay again.

Property is exactly as listed. It is a suite, meaning bedrooms, living area and bathroom - no kitchen. Short walk to town which is an ideal location. Neighborhood and property is quiet.

Was easy to check in and comfortable to sleep in.

Perfect for a couple nights in Harrisonburg. Convenient to JMU. It's cozy but there is plenty of space. We travel a lot-cleanliness, convenience, check in process, and accessibility of the host are important factors for us. Five Stars on all.

Warm inviting comfy & cozy

Overall we really liked this apartment. It was comfortable and clean. My only issue was that being on the ground floor in an unfamiliar area, I felt uncomfortable that one of the windows did not have a lock on it.

Four of us stayed at The Cozy Suite just for one night; it was a nice little stopover en route to a visit at JMU. Clean, comfortable sleep, easy check-in/out, and responsive communication with host... pleasant accommodations all around! Thank you for having us!

The property was exactly as described in VRBO. Communication with the hosts was terrific. The beds were nicely made for us which was appreciated since we arrived later than expected. Overall, it was a clean, well maintained and a perfect spot to say while visiting JMU. Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Unit is a simple basement renovation property that fills the bill for short stays. Lack of kitchen not a huge deal if you plan to dine out often. Bedding was comfortable as was living room area for relaxation. All in all good stay. Only concern was the shower controls need a little work as hot water only works in the middle of the range for some reason.

Nice little place. Would have loved to have more of a kitchen space and more control over the temperature but other than that it was fantastic.

The name describes it well. We were visiting JMU with my daughter. Perfect place to relax before our visit. Two bedrooms were both clean and comfortable. TV room/dining area was a nice place to hang out, eat, and catch the game. Host was responsive, helpful, and considerate. If my daughter attends JMU, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Becca was a great host - always available and quick to respond. The location was very accessible to the city and very accurately described. Comfy bed.

Nice clean finished basement adequately furnished. Ideal for overnight stay. Stairs leading to basement could've been salted a little better top 3 steps were icey from freak snow storm to hit thecarea overall happy with accommodation.

We stayed two nights at the cozy suite. Our days were full of events so it was nice ti come “home” to a quiet place and relax.

We had such an incredible time at the Cozy Suite! Its the perfect home base for exploring Shenandoah National Park and eating your way through downtown Harrisonburg (our two activities of choice!). The property was clean and comfortable, and the walk to downtown was refreshing and easy. Becca made checking in and navigating the property easy peasy - would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Cozy Suite while we were moving our daughter into JMU. The suite was immaculate and so charming. It was a super short drive to the campus and all the stores around the campus. All amenities were provided, including ones we didn't expect like snacks and coffee pods. We will definitely stay at the Cozy Suite again when we visit our daughter.

Stayed one night while moving in our son for fall semester. Nice to have two rooms and easy parking in a quiet neighborhood. Host provided nice touches like snacks and cold water in the fridge. Would stay again when back in town.

We arrived very late and had no issue getting into the VRBO. We were exhausted and the bed was so incredibly comfortable. We are grateful for a clean and cozy place to stay. Thank you! It was perfect, and we truly enjoyed and appreciated that a coffee maker and the necessities were available!

The basement apartment was easy to find. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. It was immaculately clean. The beds were super comfortable. Check in was easy. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay. If back in this area will definitely stay here again if it is available.

Came here for a staycation with my spouse. Cozy little space for relaxing and spending time together. On a quiet street but walkable to downtown (can take a shortcut through the historic cemetery which is a few blocks away). Large windows in the living area and windows in both bedrooms so it doesn't feel like a basement.
