Stayed Dec 23, 2023Five stars! The Aloha Green House has everything our family could ask for. Quiet, spacious, good privacy, considerate owners, fully equipped, fairly new and good quality amenities. Beautiful garden, porch, and ocean view. We loved eating outside on the outdoor table on the porch.

Stayed Aug 31, 2023Ruth and Todd are wonderful hosts! The apartment was super clean and well maintained. They have pretty much everything you need to stay there. Lots of small details showed they care about their guests and the island. Beautiful morning and evening views from the house. We had a wonderful stay there!

Stayed Jan 12, 2026Everything about the Aloha Green House blew us away. The unit itself is beautiful, roomy, well equipped and thoughtfully organized. The outdoor space is inviting and a perfect place to lounge or read or just contemplate the coastal view and quiet surroundings. The location is excellent for exploring — we especially loved the South Point area, and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is an easy day trip from the Green House. Finally, Ruth, our host, was very proactive, clear and welcoming in her communications. This was our first time in Hawaii, and this place is on our list for a return visit.

Stayed Jan 30, 2026A gorgeous and wonderfully quiet spot that lives up to its 10.0 rating. Exquisite ocean views. Friendly and beautifully organized. Just a 20-minute drive through bucolic ranch country from South Point, the southernmost point in the USA. We hope to come back soon.

Stayed Nov 9, 2025There was air conditioning but the positions of the windows and the night breeze made it unnecessary to use it. Had all the necessary kitchen stuff to prepare meals. Very easy to check in. Ruth was very quick to respond when we accidentally flipped the breaker. This place is kid friendly and safe as the glass table had protectors on the corners for the toddler. Well worth it!!

Stayed Jun 24, 2025The stay here was amazing! Peaceful, clean, tranquil, and excellent place for a get away! Parking couldn’t be better! And communication was point on! Very quick response. Family friendly, having limited toys available for young children, but enough to keep them busy, and the owners sanitize everything for you! I would definitely come back.

Stayed May 6, 2025From our first impression to check out, we were so impressed with the Aloha Green House. Easy to find and parking is great. It’s a level walk from your parking spot to the front door with one step up into the spacious apartment. Great for those with mobility issues. The apartment is one big room, open concept, combination living/dining/kitchen with two bedrooms and one bath directly off of this great room. There are labels everywhere to help you acclimatize. One of the typical frustrations with a new place is finding what drawers and cabinets have the things you need. Not here! The owner clearly thinks of their guests needs! Bottles of cold water in the mini fridge…a cooler for your daily adventures… sunscreen in the bathroom (and fresh aloe in the garden when you’ve over done the sun!) The one bathroom was a bit of shuffle with 5 people, but it is a glorious bathroom. So spacious and TWO shower heads & a a pebble tile floor…Heaven! The ceilings are so high that you don’t feel like you’re in a first floor apartment. Fantastic relaxing resort-like feel. LOVED the secluded feel of the back patio with solar lights at night. Two nights were not enough! This was our base camp for exploring Papakolea Beach (hike it- it’s worth the afternoon!), Punalu’u and Hawai’i Volcanoes. Also, don’t miss out of Paradise Meadows- we fell in love with Peaberry coffee & Kiawe Blossom honey here.

Stayed Mar 14, 2025We found the place because it was close to the venue of a wedding we were attending. It was super cute and spacious. We stayed with 3 kids and the beach chairs/toys were lovely to have. Everything at the property was well labeled and little bonus snacks and extra sunscreen was great. The property owner lives upstairs and is super responsive with any question or concern. She even sent us a little note when a large rainbow appeared over the ocean one day!

Stayed Nov 8, 2024This property and the host, Ruth, is the best VRBO we’ve stayed at. The location is rural, which is a plus for us. So quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The place is immaculate, so comfortable and she’s thought of everything to make our stay feel special. Its location to the green sand and black sand beaches, in addition to the national park and mountain cannot be beat. We loved it.

Stayed Sep 4, 2024We wanted to be close to South Point and the green sand beach for a change his time on Hawaii, and this turned out to be the ideal staging location for seeing sights on the south side of the island. The listing was exactly as described, spotless clean, well appointed, and the owner provided a number of complimentary products. We felt like it could be our home. We would definitely book again if we wanted a location on the south side of the island!

Stayed Aug 16, 2024My family of 5 loved staying here at this clean and welcoming rental. 3 kids ranged from 12-19. Nice updated bathroom, clear labelling of all cabinets and drawers helped to navigate the kitchen. Property was super nice and clean. With two teenage kids and five people, it was harder to have only one bathroom, so just something to keep in mind if you have big kids who need more time in the bathroom. Place was accurately described, host was warm and communicated well. There were snacks and water bottles, and some aloha treats! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
