Stayed May 5, 2024We were initially concerned that staying in Bracciano would be too far from the sites we wanted to see in Rome. However, our stay in Bracciano was so much more relaxing since we were away from the hectic pace of Rome. The authentic narrow streets, old buildings, awesome castle, and lake elevated our vacation to another level. The train was a convenient and inexpensive way to get to anywhere we wanted in Rome. We took an Uber from the cruise port at the beginning of our stay and to the airport to fly home. We had some of the best meals we've ever had at numerous small restaurants within a block or two of the apartment. The apartment was very roomy and clean with skylights in the upper two bedrooms and a spacious balcony to enjoy the quiet mornings and evenings. We loved exploring the old streets, castle, and beautiful lake. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed Jan 1, 2024It is probably impossible to find an apartment in a better location. In the beautiful old section of the city, literally steps from Bracciano's famed castle, in a former 15th Century Convent, on the second floor (American storeys), one short flight up from the ground. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully appointed, with books and photographs and beautiful furniture -- it really feels like someone's home. You walk into a foyer, and can see the living room (with fireplace) and terrace beyond; then there's another room, a bathroom, an enormous eat-in kitchen (with great appliances), and then the master bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. Then, upstairs, there's 2 more bedrooms and another half-bath. And did I mention there's a beautiful terrace with views of the river? You're right above incredible restaurants, too (and the noise from them isn't too bad). The owner of the apartment was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful. She gave me a tour of the place and then left me alone for the month. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. By all means consider it if you have a large group of people -- it could probably sleep 10 or more, at a pinch. I adored my time in the apartment -- it was tranquil, gorgeous, clean, and utterly welcoming.

Stayed Nov 4, 2023The apartment is centrally located, with all the shops and restaurants within a quick walking distance. It is just a short 10 minute walk from the train station, making it easily accessible for those who are traveling by rail. All of the recommendations from the host were excellent. We took the train into Rome and spent a day there. So much to see yet it was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed Jun 9, 2023Our family of four had a great time at this charming apartment in beautiful Bracciano. The apartment had plenty of room to spread out. There’s a nice balcony with a view of the lake and the 15th century streets. Bracciano is an ideal location. Not crowded, lots of wonderful restaurants, boutiques and the lake is clear and great for swimming. It’s an easy 1 hour train ride to Rome and a great respite from the bustling, crowded city. Marina is a gracious, kind and helpful host.

Stayed Oct 25, 2022Property is spacious and we loved the balcony. We had just finished 10 day tour so pretty tired. It was a perfect place to rejuvenate. We loved being so close to the castle, it's a must see and made our way to the lake for lunch.

Stayed Jun 13, 2022Marina is a friendly, and kind host. Whenever we contacted her or needed advice she responded quickly and was most helpful. The apartment is spacious, clean, and just as advertised online. Even with 6 adults, there was plenty of room. It is full of character and personal touches. To have the balcony was such a bonus, giving views of the town, across the countryside and a bit of the lake. A truly comfortable place to stay.

Stayed Sep 19, 2019A very nice and comfortable flat ….it is more personal ….like your own home. Unsusual...high ceilings and beams make it very cosy. Great location near the castle and near all the bars and restaurants. Couldn't have wished for a nicer place to stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A very straightforward process of booking. The owner, Marina, was very helpful in organising transport. The area was easily accessible to public transport and the facilities in and around the main square excellent. It was very hot! Upstairs in the property. There is likely to be reasons for this due to the age of the building. Nonetheless a really enjoyable stay and a beautiful area.

Stayed Jun 3, 2019This apartment was just beautiful and was one of our favorites on our trip to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. It is spacious and there was room for each one in our family to have our own space after each day of sightseeing. I loved sitting on the balcony each morning, enjoying seeing the activity in the narrow street below. There is also a view of the water in a nearby town. The apartment was tastefully decorated and had the charm you would hope for in a medieval building. The location is also fantastic. We enjoyed stepping out our door and having a variety of restaurants and shops within minutes. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby lake town, Anguillara. This location was also great for hopping on the train to Rome, a 45 minute to hour trip. Marina was very helpful in helping us plan our train trip to Rome, giving us suggestions for side trips, and ideas where to eat. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it!

Stayed Jul 16, 2018Meant to do this last Summer and forgot!...... Sorry Marina! Our 2018 stay was fantastic. The house is amazing and Marina so helpful and location fantastic . Lots of lovely places to eat out near by . Very close to the railway station which was great, buy your tickets in the cafe on the platform for family days out. Parking is best done overnight at the car park with the barrier at Via S . Antonio, costs 1 euro per visit no matter how long .Huge house for a large family and kitchen was great in accommodating us all.Enjoyed our holiday so much.
