We really enjoyed our stay at Hare’s View. The accommodation is advertised as sleeping six, but during our visit (with only two of us) it didn’t feel fully equipped to comfortably cater for that number. A few things we noticed: - There was no dishwasher or washing machine. - No dining table, only four stools at the breakfast bar, and a rather uncomfortable wooden bench with thin cushions in the lounge. - No hanging space or drawers in the bedrooms for clothes, or in the communal areas for coats. - Some of the kitchen sockets weren’t working. - The fridge/freezer wasn’t large enough to store much food, so we found ourselves shopping daily. With no larder space for dry goods, we had to use the kitchen surfaces, which reduced food preparation space. On the positive side, the location and views were fabulous, and it was very well placed for day trips. The hot tub was a lovely addition, although we did notice some black floating bits in the water during use. We hope you receive this feedback in the positive spirit intended — to help improve what is already a lovely property in a fantastic setting. Thanks again, Jacqui

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at Hares view! Incredible views! The hobbit house its self was lovely, so unique and different, my boys loved it and so did I. Had everything we needed. Space outside was great too, so plenty of space for my boys to play. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place and location. I would definitely stay again, my kids and partner also loved it and the hot tub is always a winner for them . I would say tho for the property they should upgrade the seating area to a corner sofa of the similar size for better comfort and esthetics but the current one done the job so wasnt a massive issue or a holiday spoiler. When We were leaving we had a nice surprise from a heard of goats being nosey near the front door which the kids loved and ended the holiday beautifully.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Hare's view underground house. The view is stunning! The accommodation had everything we needed and the welcome pack is a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable and it felt spacious for the 5 of us. I think the only thing I would change would be the lounge seating area, witt the curve of the house I think a sofa would be nicer for relaxing. Thank you holiday wales for a great stay, we will certainly be back.

We love the beautiful surroundings in the comfort of the hobbit home. The only feedback is the goats that come in a herd and seem pretty hostile. It was not pleasant experience. Thank goodness it was only for one evening. But overall it was fabulous stay.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Hare's View Lodge! The breathtaking views are truly captivating and hard to beat, setting the scene for a relaxing or activity-packed getaway—whatever you make of it. The accommodation itself is spacious, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and clearly well looked after. If I had to mention a minor detail, it’s that the seating area could be a bit more comfortable for a family of four. The corner seating is up against the lodge’s curved walls, so it’s a bit tricky to sit upright. A couple of bean bags or extra seating options would make it perfect, but that’s just me being picky! Overall, it’s an amazing location that everyone in our group enjoyed—kids, adults, and even the dog! Great value for money, and we’ll absolutely be back (maybe with our own bean bags or camp chairs!).

The stay was for a surprise birthday treat, my wife was overjoyed and a little overwhelmed, especially with the birthday decorations being put up ready for arrival. Communication prior to arrival was very professional and helpful. I opted for a breakfast hamper, which had absolutely lovely produce inside, perfect for anyone arriving late evening. It certainly saves on the last minute shopping, as it's a couple of miles into town, and a good 20 minutes drive archway to larger supermarkets. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Hot tub was also a hit with everyone too.

My husband and I stayed in the 'Hares View' cottage for our 10th Wedding Anniversary with our two little boys. We were blown away at how idyllic the setting and view were, and how well equipped and laid out the cottage was. As Tolkien fans, we were almost transported to Middle Earth due to how quaint and cosy it was. The hot tub and free waffles were a lovely touch! We'll definitely be back.
