Casa Royal beautiful Garden

Fabulous location and scenic one as well. The hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful to us. We absolutely loved our time in Varenna in this wonderful property. Highly recommend this beautiful place in the world.

Our stay in Varenna was perfect. The unit was well equipped and had a beautiful area to sit and enjoy the scenery. Easy to walk to train station, ferry dock, as well as restaurants and other attractions. We would love to visit again in the future!

We chose this place based upon location and having free parking on the property. We were not allowed to park there and had to pay 20 Euro a day at a garage a block away. The shower doors have a gap when closed so water goes everywhere. The bed sags in the middle. And, according to the house rules, we were to take our trash to bins by the ferry dock a 20 minute walk away. There are positives. The location is fabulous right off the main square. The view is spectacular. Food options are many. The ferry dock and train station are a 15-20 minute walk.

The property and hosts were above expectations. Alberto picked us up at the train station and was immediately responsive to questions during our stay. The property was a pleasure to stay in, great location for restaurants and access to the ferry. Had great contact with Giorgio to arrange the stay and answer questions before we went. Highly recommend!

Andrea’s apt was a perfect place to stay in Varenna. Just off the main square, everything was close. The main restaurants were a 5 min walk and the ferry terminal 10. Great views of the lake, Bellagio and Menaggio. All 5 star, and communication was 5 star, after communicating with WhatsApp. Would definitely stay with Andrea in the future.

Loved the property and Roberto was great! He picked us up at the train station and took us to the apartment. He explained everything and was easy to get ahold of. Location is excellent. No car needed because we were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and ferries.

Perfect location in Varenna with private garden terrace and access to the lake for swimming. Centrally located and walkable to everything - food, ferry, shops, main square. Also includes one parking space, convenient if traveling through Italy by car. The apartment is cozy with a small efficiency kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. It has all the basics for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t the apartment for you - but it’s worth living more simply for the perfect location and private garden/lake access. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Make sure to arrive before 6 p.m. as the property has a private gate and door access, and needs an orientation. This arrival information is not in the property description. The hosts met us in the square to guide us down a little alley to the gate. Shared helpful information and a bottle of wine. :) For your stay, you’ll need to be mindful of having the keys to enter / exit the gate, because access requires the key for both entry and exit. On your last day, make sure the gate is open before you leave the keys behind in the apartment and close the front door. It automatically locks and the button to open the gate is inside the foyer.
