Stayed Jan 26, 2026This was a neat place for us to stay; comfortable, clean, well supplied, close to what we enjoy about the north shore. At night, it was fun to hear nature sounds and the feel the breeze. We enjoyed our friendly hosts, which also made our time enjoyable.

Stayed Jan 26, 2026We really enjoyed staying here. It is close to Hookipa Beach, Upcountry, Paia, hiking, and the Road to Hana. The place was clean and well stocked, and very comfortable. Reading on the patio, grilling, and feeling the breeze at night made our trip very relaxing, especially since we enjoy the North shore area. The owners were good, and made sure we were well taken care of. staying here made our trip very enjoyable!

Stayed Sep 21, 2025The Kahili was a relaxing oasis & a great base for visiting sights on the North Shore! Everything was top notch, from the peaceful lanai to the well-stocked kitchen & bathroom to the comfortable bed. We enjoyed visiting with Frank & appreciated the fresh fruit he shared with us from his land.

Stayed Aug 14, 2025This location is amazing if you want peace, quiet, and privacy. The hosts, Frank and Ludy, are personable, warm, helpful, and kind. This is my favorite spot on Maui so far and I have stayed in several other places. At night, the forest frogs offer a symphony from the private patio. It’s magical. The place is clean and generously stocked with the essentials.Frank and Ludy are the best!I will definitely be back. Hopefully sooner than later! Thanks, Frank and Ludy, for the great experience!

Stayed Nov 30, 2024I stayed here for 15 nights and had no issues whatsoever. From the generous hosting gifts, and the cozy bed, I had a terrific home away from home. This place has everything you need and is so conveniently located on the north side of Maui. Close to Paia and to Hookina beach. I love having home cooked meals and this kitchen has everything I needed to cook. I would stay here again and will recommend it to all my friends.

Stayed Aug 15, 2024We absolutely loved this studio! It was so spacious and private. Surrounded by fruit trees. It had everything we needed from shampoo and conditioner to ketchup and mustard! Loved sitting outside on the patio while we ate and listened to the rain. It had a washer and dryer which was convenient. We will definitely be booking here again!

Stayed May 27, 2024We stayed 6 nights in this efficient studio cottage right off Hana Highway in Haiku. The space is pleasant, clean, and conveniently located. Grocery stores, restaurants, and beaches are a short drive away. The refrigerator was stocked with plenty of bottled waters and fruit juices and we enjoyed some fresh-picked lychees the owner left at the front door. We enjoyed the tropical plants and chickens. In short, a good place. Some aspects about the location that we experienced that we would like to share: the mosquitos are pretty thick which made it hard to enjoy the patio for more than a few minutes. There is some traffic noise from Hana Highway. There is no paved access from parking to front door.
