Join us at Angel’s Landing where you hear nothing but the Aspens quake in the gentle breeze…and maybe some curious baby foxes foraging for food or the resident moose and deer mewing as they wander across our drive.

Welcome to our fully off-the-grid mountain hideaway, which may become your place of peace, quiet and respite in the Rockies as you rest, relax and restore…before embarking from here to your next mountain adventure!

This ground floor of a beautifulhome is a great place to stay and explore the foothills.
Only 10 minutes from historic mining town, Idaho Springs, their brewery/cidery/bars and other restaurants/shops and whitewater rafting, adventure park, fishing, hunting, cycling and mine tours. Only 30 minutes to your first ski resort up I-70 (Loveland)! You’re also welcome to stick around a few days to enjoy hiking trails as you step out the door on either our property or adjacent forest service land. A deck with BBQ grill is also available (incredible mountains views and serenity are included, of course).

BEAT THE I-70 TRAFFIC as you will already be half-way up the mountain to ski resorts, other historic mountain towns and 14-teeners, for example:
- Only 7-Minutes away from I-70 yet NO freeway noise.
- Denver Airport, Via I-76W – 60 miles

Apartment has wood stove, in-floor heat, full bathroom with shower, separate bedroom with full-size bed, comfy sofa (can be for an additional guest), large TV, washer/drying rack, and dining table with 2 chairs that can be used as an office. You can feel at home with coffee maker, tea pot, TV, WIFI, firestick, refrigerator, cook top and small convection oven with dishes/silverware, microwave, books, chest full of games/puzzles, and an extra area right outside your door with luxurious old teak furniture to enjoy the mountain peace and quiet.

Although we live up a county-maintained road, it is dirt, very steep and gets bad washboards (bumps) regularly. From June through August, a front-wheel drive car is enough; however, from September to May is REQUIRED to be traveling in a vehicle that provides either AWD or AWD capabilities. Owner/Property Manager will NOT be available or able to provide rides up or down the road. Since we are fully off-grid, WE CANNOT ACCOMODATE ELECTRIC VEHICLES. Please ensure your rental car is not EV-only. No refund will be provided if you arrive in an EV or if you don't have an AWD/4WD and your vehicle won’t make it up the road.

Video Monitoring on site.
No smoking inside the home.
This is a pet friendly apartment but there is a $50 pet fee per pet

We are at 9000’ elevation in the mountains, fully OFF-GRID, with well-water, solar-powered electricity, septic and propane. We respectfully request that you honor those systems and conserve water, power and sewer usage during your stay. Our septic is very sensitive, NOTHING goes into toilets or drains besides toilet paper...and your business, of course.
Please be aware, be kind, don’t steal our stuff and help us conserve. We are excited to have you stay and hope you have a wonderful, peaceful rest…up here with the angels…come on up and relax…

Anean and her property are equally amazing! The apartment is charming, the location spectacular and the view breathtaking. My only hesitation in giving this secluded slice of heaven my highest recommendation is increasing the risk of it not being available the next time I’m looking to stay

Such a wonderful place to get away! The space was clean and organized, and had all the essentials plus some! Host is friendly and easy to communicate with. The cabin is tucked away a little ways up the mountain but a perfect distance to Idaho Springs and Georgetown. Tons of trails around to explore. Cabin is located on an unpaved road going UP so plan accordingly with your vehicle choice. We didn’t need 4WD, but some might depending on seasons! Overall, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC STAY!!

Nestled in the mountain, this property was absolutely beautiful. We utilized the large fire pit across the road as well as the trail. After vising the local grocery store in Idaho Springs just minutes away, we did not have to leave the property again. There are several trailheads nearby and if you stay at the right time, you can hit the Miner's Market. There are also a few gold mine tours nearby. Overall, this property was very well maintained and a great pleasure to stay at. The host was very prompt in replying and was very accommodating, we did not want for anything while we were there. Upon checking out, she informed us of the need to engage our 4x4 as it has snowed throughout the night and directed us on which part of the road to stay on to safely descend the mountain.

Host had excellent communication skills. This place was beautiful however it needed an extra sink somewhere for washing dishes/pot even your hands. There was a small sink in the bathroom, but it was only appropriate for maybe brushing your teeth and washing your hands.. I made some recommendations to the owner and she seems very receptive. She was very accommodating and I would stay there again. This place is truly a little hidden gem. A little bit out of the way, but sometimes that’s good.

Quiet little spot close to Georgetown and Dowtown Idaho Springs. Only wish was that there was a sink other than the tiny bathroom one and ice trays:) We were in town for half marathon and filled our water bladders via the shower. Ice wouldve been a bonus. Otherwise we were barely there. Bed was comfy and host was nice.

We enjoyed our quick overnight stay in this cute and cozy mountain cabin. The in-floor heating and wall heater kept the place quite warm. The bed was comfy, and Anean provided lots of very warm blankets. The second sleeping spot is the sofa, but it is really cozy, and you can ask for an air mattress when you're booking. The outside space was snowy so we didn't utilize it much, but the stars and views are amazing! Check-in and communication with Anean were great. She was incredibly nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We're looking forward to returning, hopefully in the fall to see all the aspen trees!

My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was cozy and had everything you'd need for a short getaway. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and had all the toiletries you'd need. And the outdoor space was quiet and the views are spectacular. It's a great space to escape the city in this off grid home. The wifi and the cell service are spotty so get out and enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful trees!
