Langley, Washington
The Anderson Farmhouse, a Langley original, built by Great Grandpa Anderson in 1907. A complete restoration, back to its original charm & character. This historic home sits on 20+ acres of fields, gardens, & surrounded by forest. The farm also provides land for Langley Community Gardens, chickens, cows, & a field of blooming dahlia's & farm flowers through summer. Step back in time & enjoy this peaceful mini farm experience. We want to continue to improve our community while preserving history.
The farmhouse is 100+ years old & our family treasure. Our heart was put into a detailed & beautiful restoration of the home. It has provided love & peace for our family since 1907. Items in the home are mostly all original to the farmhouse. Feel free to explore the farm, enjoy the nature and wildlife. Some of the character in the farmhouse come from the original floors, old doors, and original ship lap walls. Due to the age, there are unique qualities & character in the wood and hardware that is just part of the charm of this old farmhouse.
The entire home & 20+ acres of fields and forest is for guests to explore. The farmhouse garden is for guests to pick flowers or in season veggies, all fruit trees are for you to pick, and some over 100 years old. The Langley Community Gardens behind the home are private gardens for the people that care for them. We donate part of the land for the garden plot. Feel free to walk through the Community Gardens, and enjoy the diversity in each of the private plots.
This is a very small family owned farm, we feed cows, chickens, barn cats daily and gardeners will be tending to their gardens, seasonally. The home and surrounding yard is private for guests. We will respect your privacy and boundary around the home.

The Anderson Farmhouse was amazing! I've stayed at a lot of VBROs and this by far had the most comfortable bed! Not only did this place have comfort but a very well stocked kitchen. Everything you needed to cook any meal was available. This little place exuded farm house charm right down to the smallest of details! The grounds were well kept and the gardens were a pleasure to stroll through. We will definitely be staying here again!
My friends and family loved the blend of old and new at the Anderson Farm. The kitchen was well stocked, the information about the farm and location was easy to follow, and the property is a gem! Oh, and the baby bunnies were charming!
We have stayed in dozens of VRBOs on 4 different continents. This precious farmhouse is the most wonderful of them all : ) Words truly don't do it justice!! The history is humbling and the renovation and maintenance of the property is perfection. We concur with all the positive reviews enthusiastically!! Thank you Tamara for the privilege of staying at the farm and we truly can't wait to return!!!
We had a wonderful time. Thank you!
Beautiful location and wonderful home! Extra comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. The history of the home and farm are very interesting and all of the antiques were so much fun to look at. We enjoyed the cows and barn cats! Can't wait to go back again!
The Anderson Farmhouse is absolutely stunning! It's been lovingly renovated in such a way that it maintains its historic charm yet has all the modern conveniences that you could possibly need. My daughter and I loved spending time walking around the property and visiting the animals. Tamara, the owner, is so kind and very responsive to any questions we had. Whidbey Island is charming and there is lots to do and see. I would highly recommend this rental!
This family farm is charming and in a beautiful location. We felt welcomed and right at home during our entire stay! It is well-stocked for comfort, including all of the kitchen items, linens, and towels. A beautiful scrapbook of the family's history is available for reading, which makes it an even more personable experience to be a guest in this special place. We will always remember our special time here!
My friend and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful farmhouse and property. The farmhouse is so full of family history that you can feel it! The beautiful beds, linens, furniture and kitchen add a touch of luxury. We picked some apples from the orchard and loved the flower garden. I hope to be able to visit again.
The remodel of this home is a great blend of historic with modern conveniences. Everywhere we turned there was just what we needed...kitchen appliances, lots of kitchen tools and dishes, some staples; bedding; towels; lamps; pillows; throws; books; fans (summer); etc. We didn't explore the island as much as we usually do as we had so much fun at the property with the chickens, roosters, barn cat, rabbits, cows, and walking through the immense dahlia and vegetable gardens. We booked already to come back. Thank you!
The property is located a short walk from downtown Langley but far enough away that you feel secluded. An acre or so of gardens surround the property with a small group of chickens, ducks, and cows that are fun to visit. Two farm cats are also very friendly but stay outside. Lots of cute bunnies. The house is historic and charming. Tamara is great at thinking of everything.
