Port Richey, Florida
Port Richey is a very small, suburban city in Pasco County in the state of Florida. The establishment of this highly compact city is credited to Aaron M. Richey, who arrived from Missouri in the area close to the mouth of the Pithlachascotee River in 1883. In July 1884, he created a post office in his home. The municipality was incorporated as Port Richey in 1925. The original town name is older than that of New Port Richey, whose post office was established more than 30 years after that of Port Richey.

The population has remained small, growing from 1,931 in 1960 to 2,671. The city was estimated as having 2,761 residents as of 2015.
