Hudson is a census designated place in Pasco County, Florida in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan area. There are several great restaurants and shops for people to enjoy including the Inn on the Gulf, Pasco County's only beachfront restaurant, bar and motel as well as Sam's Hudson Beach Bar.

 

Another unique aspect to Hudson life is the extensive canal system which runs throughout the community. The canals are both a thing of natural beauty and also a representation of American ingenuity at its best. They were created as a means to attract people to live in the community. Now they are one of the most beautiful and distinct aspects of the city.

 

For a fun recreation activity unique to the Hudson area, you can explore the vast network of underwater caves due to the abundance of natural springs. The most popular is the Hudson Grotto Underwater Cave, near Tower Drive. There are several places to rent scuba gear in the area.

 

Hudson is home to the Richey Community Orchestra which has been entertaining area residents since 1957. The RCO has developed a unique niche as a "Show Orchestra" performing every genre of music from the traditional classical repertoire to opera, Broadway, pop and big band. Some of their latest performances include: Rock Around The Clock, Great American Songbook, Broadway Gold, and Parisian Pop.
