Frank’s View is a first floor apartment set within the majestic, former Zetland Hotel. He also performed the formal opening of the hotel on 27 July 1863.brbrFrank’s View has some of the best views along the whole Yorkshire coastline, looking across the bay of Saltburn to Huntcliff and out to sea. You get a feeling of grandeur and olden day luxury as you make your way up the grand old staircase to the apartment. A balcony wraps around the exterior, making a perfect spot to sit and relax with a drink and watch the waves roll in and out again. There are two comfortably sized bedrooms and spacious living areas, all with fantastic views. There is also the benefit of a private parking space.brbrSaltburn is an up and coming seaside town with many restaurants and cafés, and there is always something new happening in the town. The town attracts surfers and fishermen, as well as those wanting to spend time building sandcastles. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink along the promenade and at the top of the cliff, and you can travel in style to both the promenade and the pier by using the oldest operating water-balance cliff lift in the country!brbrThe Ship Inn along the beach is still famous for its link to pirates and smugglers, and you can get a feel for this as you walk the beach and admire the cliffs that surround the bay. The Cleveland Way snakes through the coastal area of the town, and stretches all along the cliff tops and down into various bays and coves along the Heritage Coast. brbrThe town is right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, so is ideally situated for those who want to walk or cycle on the moors and sample some of the prettiest countryside in the county, with its hundreds of pubs and restaurants serving home cooked food and a warm welcome. Take a nostalgic ride on the steam train that chugs its way from Whitby deep into the heart of the North York Moors, ’Heartbeat’ country and Pickering. Alternatively, explore the many bays and coves along the coast such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay or Staithes. Each has its own historical story of pirates and smuggling.brbrbrbrThe harbour town of Whitby is just 20 miles away and is an experience of its own. Home of Whitby Abbey, which was made famous by Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’, cobbled back streets, quirky shops and Whitby harbour. Keep an eye out for the many festivals and events held here each year, from regattas to a Goth festival, or take a sea fishing trip on one of the many tourist boats.brbrbrbrYork is just over an hour’s drive away, where you’ll find the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre, or just enjoy a lovely day out exploring the walls and cobbled streets. Restored circus wagon

Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, United Kingdom

Fully restored on site by ourselves, the circus wagon offers a truly unique glamping experience. Whether you are looking for a romantic trip away, or a solo traveller looking for a tranquil bolthole where you can sit and write your next best seller, this is the place for you. Wake up, open the door and take in the view across the field and trees up to the North York Moors.  (Don't be surprised if you see a sail going past either; that's just the boats on Scaling Dam reservoir).brbrWe have kept the interior as original as possible with the addition of plenty of luxury comforts.  Externally, the wagon is fully insulated before being clad in timber and repainted.  Sitting on an original horse drawn dray, the wagon is very compact and utilises clever space saving techniques. The wagon is connected to the electric hook up point, has plenty of sockets, a heater, fairy lights internally, exterior entrance light and exterior lighting under the canopy.  The wagon is furnished with cushions, throws, flowers, circus pictures, ornaments, an assortment of books and some games.brbrThere are two fire rings on the pitch; one for a fire pit (included) and one for a tripod BBQ which we hire on site.brbrWe guarantee that you will never stay in anything as quirky as this!brbrIncludes: A raised sofa which lays down to be double bed (shorter than standard double but the same width), all bedding is supplied, throws, cushions,  plates, bowls, cups. glasses and cutlery.  There is a handmade fold up table that can be used and then tidied away, two folding chairs, a bench and a tall storage cabinet.brbrThe wagon is situated in a large grassed pitch surrounded by long grasses, young trees and is close to the wild flower meadow.  Rainy day No problem. Their is a canopy, with wooden seating for 2 and a small table! There is a fire pit included and a BBQ area if you choose to hire a BBQ kit from us.brbrThere is a shared kitchen on site with fridge, mini oven, hob, kettle, microwave, 2 large sinks, drinking water, hot water and a selection of pans, chopping boards, utensils etc.brbrThere is a bespoke hand built shepherds hut washroom on site, which has three basins, two hot showers with good pressure and two flushing toilets. brbrAs you can see from the pictures this is a small, quirky unit purposefully designed to be compact as it was originally horse drawn.
