House is located just eight miles (less then 15 minutes drive in normal traffic) from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for Skiing and three miles from the town of Jackson. All wheel drive vehicle highly recommended during winter months. This custom built luxury home focuses on the views of the Tetons available from the main living level and deck. To the west, views from the great room showcase the Teton mountain pass and valley. Stunning mountain and valley views! The dining room and deck face north with awesome views of GRAND TETON. A large well manicured grassy area is ideal for lawn games (corn hole provided), and other entertaining. Whether you are drinking your coffee watching the hot air balloons rise against the Teton backdrop, or sipping cocktails on the deck watching the sun set against the mountains, you will be sure to enjoy your stay at this child friendly, home-away! brbrABSOLUTELY NO CATS OR DOGS. It is a fantastic place to sit outside, relax, converse, or listen to the myriad of birds sing. Adjacent to the deck is a hot tub seating six or 7. If it's not frigid, you can talk to guests using the hot tub from the kitchen window. Enjoy watching fox, deer, moose and other wildlife that frequently visit the property, or simply take in the seasonal wildflowers!brbrThe main level of the house is on the second floor (first if you're British) in order to take advantage of the better views higher altitude provides. You enter in the family room and then proceed upstairs to the main level.brbrThe master bedroom (with a King Sleep Number Bed and all premium bedding) is located on the main level adjacent to the great room. The master bathroom features double sinks, a bubble jet tub and large shower with body spray jets. From the french doors in the bedroom, you walk out onto a covered balcony where you can enjoy an early morning coffee or an afternoon aperitif while gazing at the western valley and mountain range. brbrThe decor in the home is comfortable and eclectic with many antiques and mementos of travels abroad - We served primarily throughout Africa and the Middle East with a tour in Turkey and Pakistan as well.. The owners will be happy to share the 'provenance' of the furnishings from around the world. This is not your standard western decor.brbrThe lower level has a huge family room/den the size of the great room, suitable for TV viewing (the great room has no TV) and playing games around a desk. There is a bedroom suite consisting of two bedrooms with vanities. Both rooms connect to the toilet/shower via what is known as a jack and jill arrangement in the United States. A third bedroom has a private en suite bathroom with a tub/shower. Note that the bedrooms all have SOUNDPROOF DRYWALL to muffle sounds and provide a higher level of serenity and privacy.brbrbrThe 'upper room' is spacious with his and hers recliners, a queen Murphy bed in the middle of a wall of built in bookcases and drawers, and a closet. There is also a large desk, making this perhaps the best space in the house for a home office set up. It has no attached bath. The window in this room, while it faces east and thus has no view of the Tetons, does afford frequent views of wildlife, wildflowers during the summer, and the sled run our children and grandchildren build out back each winter.brbrA crib, high chair, baby locks, baby gates, changing pads, baby monitor and sound machine are available for those traveling with infants or small children. Speaking of child safety, all tall furniture has been secured to the wall. brbrAll Teton County, Wyoming rentals are subject to a 2% lodging tax and state tax.brbrInternet speed is 500 MB, which is the highest Spectrum, our provider, offers in this area.brbrNo more than six cars as all cars must be parked in the garage or driveway per HOA rules.
