Nati's House; Venice centre, in the lively district of Cannaregio, canal view

Venice, Italy, Italy

We rent our flat in Venice for short weekly stays all year round (preferably weekly stays but we can accept a minimum stay of three days). The flat is suitable for no more than two people. “Nati’s House” offers the comfort and the charm that could emphasize the value of your stay in this spectacular city of the world. Very well lighted, it faces with a balcony a marvellous typical Venetian canal, in a part of Venice, which still belongs to Venetians. We think this is a great value for the wise tourist with cultural aims. brThe flat is completely furnished, some pieces of furniture are antique and it is located at the floor above the ground floor. This means that it is at the 'second level' considering the USA meaning, Mind that in Italy and most of Europe 'first floor' indicates what in the USA is a 'second level'. This clarification is just to point out how the apartment is safely far from humidity of the Venetian ground floors. Anyway, it is easily reachable with only one flight of stairs. “Nati’s House” is located at just four-minute walk from the Alilaguna water bus stop (direct shuttle boat service from/to the airport).brbrStarting from 24 March 2025, guests find a completely new bed (new net and a new double mattress). We thanks the guests who pointed out in their reviews the necessity of this replacement.brbrStarting from January 2026 guests find completely new windows and shutters. brIn February 2026 the sofa bed will be replaced with a new one (we have already ordered it!). Before summer 2026 we plan to install AC to face the hottest urban weather conditions. If AC installation will go on smoothly, prices will be slightly rise. So, booking now the current available days (and so fixing the price), may be convenient!brbrWe have an automatic door opening device for the check in. It works with a simple telephonic call: your phone has to be able to initiate a call to an Italian number while you are standing in front of our building door (GSM enabled, the European dominant standard for digital cellular networks -as to your provider for any doubt-). There are no costs for this call: the opening system does not reply, just recognize the phone number of the caller. There might be other check-in methods but they must be approved far before the arrival and they may imply some expenses.br_________________________________brbrWe manage also some other beautiful places in Italy for tourist rentals (also advertised on Expedia/VRBO websites): not only in Venice, as you can see here with 'Nati's House' (VRBO #8044) but also in Bologna: ‘Ca’ di Vale’ (VRBO #885480) and the 'Symphony12 Apartment' (VRBO #1008125). brbrIn Apulia we own a typical trullo farmhouse that we restored with true philologic attention to preserve its historical and architectural context. The property includes an exclusive swimming pool (VRBO #81166).brbrSee them all in VRBO using the given codes or ask us for info.

one of the largest churches in Venice and burial place of no fewer than 25 Venetian Doges) and on the 'right' side of town for visiting the Biennale Pavilions at Arsenale and Giardini. brbr brbrA gentle walk to St. Mark’s Square (and to Palazzo Grimani and the much-photgraphed Libreria Acqua Alta bookshop both near the wonderful Campo Santa Maria Formosa), the richly atmospheric Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni with its paintings by Carpaccio, the famous Rialto Bridge and its food markets, and the dainty jewel-box church of Santa Maria Dei Miracoli – so pretty… brbr brbrWithin moments of a great selection of cafes, bars and restaurants including Osteria Alla Staffa, Trattoria Bandierette, Osteria al Mascaron and the small local shops along Barbaria de le Tole (including a flower shop and a greengrocer just steps from your front door!) brbr brbrAnd within easy reach of Salizada San Giustina (where you’ll find the splendid old-style Gastronomia Ortis, a grocery shop since 1914), the little shops of Salizada San Francesco, the 'Punto Simply' supermarket near San Lorenzo, the COOP Querini supermarket on the Fondamente Nove and the COOP at Calle Del Mondo Novo (near Santa Maria Formosa) for all your self-catering needs. brbr brbrAlso close to the vaporetto (water bus) stop at Ospedale (with no bridges to cross in between) for easy travel around the city, trips to beaches of the Lido and visits to the glass-blowing island of Murano, the rainbow-coloured island of Burano and the ancient island of Torcello with its 7th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. brbr brbrFor arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for late arrival of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. Ca' Dell'Ulivo

Venice, Veneto, Italy

We must have strolled past it a thousand times but little did we appreciate what lay behind its doors… brbr brbrNestling in secret behind the garden wall of the 15th century Gothic Palazzo Trevisan Degli Ulivi directly on the ‘passeggiata’-popular Zattere canal-side promenade in Dorsoduro, we’re delighted to welcome pretty Ca’ Dell’ Ulivo. brbr brbrNamed in keeping with the Palazzo and enjoying a much sought -after south-facing courtyard garden all of its own, the apartment is on the ground floor and allows four guests to luxuriate in air-conditioned** luxury within what we think is a true jewel box of a property. brbr brbrSurprisingly secluded yet prominently located near the Church of ‘I Gesuati’ in one of Venice’s most coveted and upmarket residential neighbourhoods, Ca’ Dell’ Ulivo is entered by way of an anonymous arched double doorway leading directly from the Zattere into its dainty secret garden - a paved and furnished haven set away from the madding crowd, where an ancient stone ‘vera da pozzo’ well-head rests in retirement amongst raised borders of newly-planted flowers and established small trees… heavenly. brbr brbrRecently refurbished not as a simple rental apartment but first and foremost for the personal pleasure and occasional enjoyment of its charming owner, the accommodation is adorable and comprises an open plan main living area with two sets of glazed French doors opening onto the garden and bringing ‘the outside in’ during the summer and fine weather. brbr brbrElegant, cosy and cosseting at the same time and framed by a ceiling of white painted beams, polished ‘marmorino’ walls and the most gorgeous Tuscan floor tiling we’ve seen for quite some time, the room features a sprinkling of fine period pieces, original paintings, an immaculate all-white and well-equipped kitchen with an integrated dining table for four, and a luxuriously appointed sitting area with beautifully upholstered club chairs and sofa. brbr brbrWi-Fi and a utility room are there for you too, while sitting peacefully to the rear is an attractive double bedroom with perfectly co-ordinated furnishings and a double bed which can be made into twins - please let us know your preference when booking. brbr brbrSeparated from the living area by a multi-paned window which can be curtained off for added privacy, the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower, Egyptian stone fittings and velvety sage green polished plaster walls, while just to the side of the living area sits the super-sweet master bedroom with built-in double bed, twin upholstered chairs, a splendid en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over, and wall-sized glazed French doors opening onto the garden and mirroring Ca’ Dell’ Ulivo’s main entrance* beyond. brbr brbr* Ca’ Dell’ Ulivo’s main entrance (the grey arched double doorway) leading from its courtyard garden onto the Zattere promenade and Giudecca Canal is pictured open in the photographs to give an idea of the position, aspect and view outside the apartment but please note that this doorway is normally kept locked by guests for security. brbr brbr brbrCa’ Dell’ Ulivo already booked on the dates you require :( Then take a look at our NEW APARTMENT ‘LA BARUFFA’ nearby! :) - a taste of paradise (with a garden!) on the ‘Dorsoduro Museum Mile’ brbr brbr brbrOUR COMMENT brbr brbrBed down in the beauty of dreamy Dorsoduro… an exquisite and enchanting slice of Venice to yourself. brbr brbrOne step away from stunning canal views across to the island of Giudecca, and within minutes of the Accademia Bridge/Accademia Galleries and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection on Venice’s Grand Canal. brbr brbrA short stroll to the Church of the Salute and to the Punta Della Dogana Museum of Contemporary Art at Dorsoduro’s Eastern tip, and close to a great choice of eating places and bars along, and close to, the Zattere, including the well-known gelataria ‘Da Nico’; ‘Osteria Al Squero’ and ‘Cantinone Gia Schiavi - Al Bottegon’ (perfect venues for a spritz and ‘cicheti’); ‘Lineadombra’ and ‘Ristorante Riviera’ for an evening of fine dining, or for something simpler, ‘Ae Oke’ with its mind-boggling array of eat-in or takeaway pizza (perhaps stopping at ‘El Chioschetto’ on the way!). brbr brbrAn easy walk to the Conad supermarket at the western end of the Zattere and, for Venice-lovers, within moments (via a short covered alleyway or ‘sottoportego’) of the sleepy calle near Campo Sant’ Agnese where, in a scene from the classic 1955 David Lean film ‘Summertime’, Katharine Hepburn and her street urchin companion laughingly cool themselves down in the waters of the neighbourhood fountain. brbr brbrVery close (and with no bridges to cross) to two vaporetto (water bus) stops for travel around the city - ‘Zattere’ just beyond the apartment entrance and ‘Accademia’ to the north - and to the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport. brbr brbrAre you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments We offer another apartment in very close proximity: Ca’ Belle Arti brbr brbr brbr**Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation. Generally, the heating works from middle of October to middle of April, while air conditioning works between middle of Aprile to middle of October.
