Welcome to 21 Spyglass, our beautiful 4 bed, 3 bath villa perched on the picturesque forest hillside above and overlooking Apple Bay at the West End of Tortola. We are sure you will love this home, with its cool breezes, large pool and ample entertaining space. brbrThe villa sleeps at least eight guests comfortably. There are two floors. Beds for six guests are in three of the bedrooms on one floor where there is a master king bedroom en suite, and two twin bedded bedrooms (2 twins in each) that share a bathroom. These rooms are on the same level as the kitchen, living, breezeway and pool. On a different level, with its own entrance, there is another king bedroom en suite with it's own patio. Each of the four bedrooms has its own dedicated air-conditioning unit. The rooms that contain the two twin beds can also be made up as kings. brbr21 Spyglass was lovingly restored and refurbished over a period of 6 months in 2019. It is furnished to a very high standard with a beautiful kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and equipped to meet the needs of even the most discerning chef. The renovation placed an emphasis on upcyclng and providing income and employment for craftsmen here in BVI. As such, there has been extensive use of recycled mahogany and glass for the windows, doors and closets. The beautiful hand made pottery sconces are produced here at a small pottery in Josiahs Bay, the three stone showers were crafted by local stonemasons and the stunning kitchen was hand built right here by Caribbean artisans.brbrIn a western location, just a few minutes’ drive to Long Bay, Smugglers Cove or any of the pristine deserted beaches on the North shore, you will enjoy a birds eye view of nearby Jost Van Dyke and a host of our outer islands. It’s just a five minute drive to the fabulous North Shore surf and a short surf or boogie board paddle will take you out on the waves. brbrThere are many restaurants nearby with the nearest being Sebastian's, approx 5 mins slow drive. The 2 restaurants at the Sugar Mill Hotel, Da Coal Pot, Bananakeet and Tropical Fusion are about 6 minutes and several restaurants including Pussers, Omars Fusion, Omars Cafe etc are at Sopers Hole which is about 8 minutes.br brIf you choose to 'dine in' you can create a culinary delight in the very well equipped kitchen then dine on the large covered patio overlooking the ocean. The Weber gas grill can be used anywhere on the pool deck so the 'grill chef' can enjoy the amazing sea views whilst he/she is at work!brbr21 Spyglass is one of three 4-bedroom villas owned and managed by Chapman Property Group, joining Twin Oceans, it’s nearby neighbor that is just a three minute walk away and The Lighthouse, a new-build villa in Pasea Estate, Road Town (both also listed on this site).brbrA breath-taking 360 degree panoramic view of both the ocean and wonderful lush forest hillside vegetation surrounding the property make this villa a must stay place for those seeking peace and tranquility, which will certainly immerse you in tropical mood. Packed with both style and substance, the kitchen is equipped with top of the range stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar with high stools and an eye for detail that only a chef could have. It flows seamlessly into the stylish living room and its 2 walls of glass doors that open out onto the deck. If you can bear to look away from the sweeping ocean views, it's a comfy room to watch the 50'' Dish Satellite TV and relax. A teak dining table for 8 sits on the covered porch directly outside the kitchen and is a blissful spot to enjoy meals with an ocean backdrop.br brBEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:brThe 4 bedrooms are dotted around the property providing space, privacy & luxury for all guests. The bathrooms alone are exquisite with the most amazing selection of tiles and finishings.brbr1) The guest house is ultra luxurious - a spacious Primary king suite where you can retreat to your very own spa-like sanctuary. It has a separate entrance at the top of the property and is up a flight of steps above the main pool deck. Complete with conveniences like a fridge/freezer, microwave, DeLonghi Coffee Machine, 32'' SmartTV, sofa & indoor and outdoor showers, you could spend your whole vacation here! A private deck tops it all off and is a dreamy spot to enjoy time with your partner on the chaise.brbr2) Next to the BBQ deck is an elegant twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom which can of course be made up as a king bed. brbr3) Facing the beach, on the front porch is a split level queen suite with a spacious bathroom and 40'' SmartTV.. brbr4) The fourth bedroom is smaller than the others and on the lower level. For luxury, ease & island bliss, this is the one!brbrRemember to follow our socials @villasoftortola for all things BVI!brbrLIVING AREAS:brFormerly a private home known as Falling Down House, the property has been completely rebuilt since hurricane Irma blew it away in 2017. While similar to the previous layout, the new contemporary silhouette is built in concrete to a slightly larger footprint, with elevated ceilings and additional rooms and porches. The sleek white minimalist interior of the main house is furnished with simple teak Balinese furniture creating the perfect backdrop for the views, which are showcased from everywhere on the property by immense windows.brbrA custom stained-glass front doors open into the heart of the home. Ahead is a super light and airy open-plan sitting room and Kitchen. The comfy sitting area takes advantage of the cross breeze from the stained glass doors all the way to the opposite porch which it is completely open to. You can also close this wall up with an automatic hurricane shutter. Huge glass windows frame the clear skies and azure ocean from every angle.brbrA dining table sits next to the sleek, minimalist white kitchen complete with convenient pass through to the outside deck. The kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric cooktop and oven and microwave and a social breakfast bar. There's a small washroom and the laundry facilities off the kitchen next to the back door. br brBEDROOMS:br1) Immediately to the left of the entrance is the first bedroom, furnished with a teak four poster king bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. This suite is a calm, peaceful sanctuary and features a gorgeous custom stained glass window, but has no view.brbr2) Dramatic custom stairs lead up to 2 further bedrooms. The Primary Suite is extravagantly large with a king bed, spacious walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom and shower overlooking the ocean, as well as a comfortable seating arrangement to relax in private. There's also a private entrance from the roadside parking area.brbr3) The third Queen bedroom is accessed from the same landing and has a queen-sized bed, a built-in closet and bathroom with large shower. br      br4) Sandwiched between these two suites (and accessible through either of the suites) is a small sunroom with yet another dramatic porch that projects into the skyline. The trundle bed (2 twin beds) is ideal for guests in either suite to put their children to sleep. brbrSTEP OUTSIDE:brThe main floor has a large Cocktail Deck to the East, overlooking the surf break and the coastal villages of Apple & Carrot Bay and an enclosed outdoor shower to the right is the perfect spot to rinse off after the beach as you overlook the beach below. brbrJust past the living room lies the Sunset Porch, a covered porch with a small table and chairs perfect for coffee or cocktails with an ocean view. Beyond this lies a covered dining area with built-in gas BBQ. The perfect place to grill some local conch or lobster and enjoy a sundowner.brbrThe 3rd bedroom suite has the most amazing deck tucked beneath the shade of the cliffside trees, with a circular Dedon sun-lounger arrangement where you can stretch out in privacy as you soak in some rays or chill beneath the shade, it’s like your very own tree fort! The bar stools provide an alternative spot for a nice cool drink.brbrCliff House One has always been a very unique property, and its reincarnation since Irma (project-managed by my husband JC) has kindled a new kind of magic. I tend to love something about every property we manage...well Cliff House One holds a very special place in our hearts. The owner and Remar Sutton (who has lived here for many years) is our daughter's godfather. Oh, and we also happened to get married here many moons ago! brbrbrPLEASE NOTEbrPlease note that the sunroom bed is really only suitable for couples with children. Dine on the large covered patio overlooking the ocean or under the stars by the pool. The gas grill can be used anywhere on the outdoor patio so the 'grill chef' can enjoy the amazing sea views whilst he/she is at work!brbrThe four bedrooms are all en-suite and are airconditioned. The villa is made up of three separate pavilions with the lounge area and kitchen being between the two bedroom buildings. The ‘St John’ bedrooms are connected to each other by a small hallway, one is a king, the other has two twins. The twin room has a large balcony, the King has sliding doors leading directly on to the pool deck and is adjacent to the pergola. The ‘Jost’ rooms are the other side of the main living rooms in a two story building. Upper Jost is a king, the Lower Jost has 2 twin beds plus a twin sized day bed. The twins can also be 'kissed' together and made up as a king. This room can sleep 3, either as a king and a twin or 3 twins. Each of the two rooms in the Jost building has its own entrance and own balcony or private patio. brThere is covered parking for three cars.brbrThe villa is designed to put you at peace with the world. Beautiful ocean views and amazing sunsets may be enjoyed from the bedrooms, living room and kitchen, the pergola and the covered or poolside patios. A large pool deck area is perfect for entertaining, parties, or just sunning yourselves in the balmy tropical climate while enjoying the peace and quite which the house affords.brAll bedrooms are Air Conditioned and have celling fans if you prefer. brEasy parking for 6 vehicles with additional space if needed.brThe property is accessed by an unpaved dirt road (which for some can take a bit of getting used to) and requires 4 wheel drive. As the owner of the property, I am more than willing to act as your personal driver for the duration of the stay or until you are comfortable with the road.brI can offer pre provisioning services if you down want to have to spend time doing this upon arrival and I offer full and complete concierge services to assist you in making your stay here all the more relaxing and enjoyable - from arranging day trips to ferry services, spa days, watersports activities, cleaning services., cooking services, babysitting services to name but a few.
