The neighbouring village of Stogumber is two miles away and has a community-run shop and Post Office, while the town of Williton is three miles away with two small supermarkets, a petrol station, cash machines, restaurants, a butcher, pharmacy, and hardware store./pbrbrpMinehead is approximately ten miles away and has larger supermarkets including Tesco and Morrisons, high street banks, and a broader range of shops. Taunton, the county town of Somerset, is roughly 14 miles south and offers a full range of supermarkets and amenities. Both Tesco and Sainsbury's deliver grocery shopping to this area./pbrbrpMonksilver sits within Exmoor's International Dark Sky Reserve -- the first in Europe -- making it an outstanding location for stargazing on clear nights. The Brendon Hills, Quantock Hills, and the Somerset coast are all within easy reach by car./p
