The house itself has that relaxed beach feel with 50s cane furniture, polished wood floors, new kitchen with Ilve stove and dishwasher and new stylish bathrooms. In the summer, lounge on our deck overlooking the national park, while the dinner cooks on the BBQ. You are sure to see kangaroos and other wildlife. In winter, there is a slow combustion fire and supplies of wood, along with gas heating to supplement. brbrThe best bit is the separate living area for kids downstairs. The large kids room has a ping pong table, plus four beds and the TV room is equipped with a big TV, DVD and a large selection of classics, from rom com to action.brbrbrThe house is 2 minutes walk to some of the best beaches on the coast with safe swimming for kids at Washerwomans and a variety of famous surf breaks, such as Green Island and Flat Rock nearby. brThere's also fabulous snorkelling, fishing and great coastal walks.brbrWe have a loyal group of return guests who love the comfort and charm of the house and its location. brbrbrLocationbrbrOnly two and three quarter hours from Sydney and two and half hours from Canberra, Bendalong is the best kept secret on the South Coast. Looking north towards Jervis Bay, it has a selection of beautiful bush to the sea beaches.brbrLocal AttractionsbrbrLake Conjola offers magnificent fishing and boating and nearby Green Island has one of the most famous surf breaks on the NSW coast. Nearby Milton has coffee shops, antiques and quirky shops. You can also visit the local wineries, such as Cupitts, near Ulladulla offering a truly gourmet experience. Pigeon House Mountain is a great climb when you are beached out but there are other less arduous walks that offer stunning views to the coast.brbrShops and facilitiesbrbrBendalong's charm is its lack of facilities. There is a general store that sells most things, but we strongly recommend bringing any gourmet items. There is an IGA in Milton, supermarkets and a fish co-op in Ulladulla, or you can stop at Nowra Fresh on your way down to get delicious oysters, fish, and local meat, plus vegetables and deli items.

A great space for the kids to make their own. The house is very spacious with a large open living area and 3 bedrooms. Main bedroom is a roomy parents retreat with own balcony. Second bedroom has 2 single beds and the other bedroom is a separate sleep-out also with 2 single beds. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. There is a total of 3 showers and 2 toilets with a second shower and toilet in laundry and a warm outdoor shower.brbrAttractionsbrbrEnjoy swimming, boating, sailing in summer and bush walking, beach combing and sitting around the open fire in winter. Bendalong is abundant in wildlife and kangaroos are regular visitors to our backyard. We often see dolphins in the bay and friendly rays can be hand-fed down at the boat harbour. The beaches are pristine with lovely bush settings. The house is within an easy walking distance to Washerwoman's Beach and Inyadda Beach with its stunning Green Island views. There is plenty of room to park boat and trailer and the boat ramp is close by. The house is a few minutes walk to well stocked general store and cafe.brbrbrbrbrFrom Bendalong you can take a short drive to Lake Conjola or venture further to historic Milton (20 mins) and the fishing town of Ulladulla. Bendalong is an easy 2-3 hour drive south of Sydney and 2-3 hour drive north-east from Canberra.
